D: Any ideas for helping the plot along? The basket goes missing for a while, but they eventually find it with Sen'jin the basket and Zandali, Zandali explains they were only playing, and everyone thinks he's a bit bonkers because they are baskets, and baskets don't play yet. When the basket grows he likes to spend most of his time by the water or in it,because his sister taught him how to swim and how much fun it is, his mother tells him to stay away and getout of it, but he continues because water is his passion, it's what he loves. Although his mum disagrees on their love for water. His mother finally lets him do what h wants in the water after a big family discussion. And they nick name there self natapati (na-ta-pa-tee), which means water. But Malis calls it but it's real name, he goes on and on about how good it is, then he gets grounded for no reason, no water for him, she can't take it anymore. She doesn't want the same thing to happen as what happen with her daughter, when the foal grows, so it doesn't end up with the wrong person, Malis tries to find a nice mate for her daughter/son, the soquili disagrees inside but wants to make his mum happy and everything she says, but hesitantly, because he knows this is the path he's meant to be on, well so his mother says. Do you like RPing? I love RPing alays up for it, most of the time. I rp alot. If you plan on breeding at a later date will you mind having Malis be a factor? yes definitely, it will go by the troll way of doing it and will make sure it mate will too. It would like a life mate.

Soquili name: Actually; if I win i'd actually like to review with you on a name. Since he would be a bit of a darker voodooist and I doubt Malis would give her son a darker name without reason; i'd like to see what she'd think would be a good name; or what she imagined he would turn out to be!

Any ideas for helping the plot along? I always thought it might be interesting if one of Malis' foals began to instead study shamanism; began to get into the darker aspects of trolls like cannibalism and voodoo. I'd be curious to see how Malis would take to that; seeing as the foal as he grew up would try to be very cunning to keep it a secret! x] <3

In short; The colt would want to be the best he can be for his family. While he enjoys the company he gets and his mother's teachings; he would be enthralled by the spirits....especially the dark ones which call to him. When by himself he wouldn't take too kindly to others; and pray he doesn't run into anyone he would deem worthing to practice voodoo or cannibalism on. XDD;; I can see the colt being docile in comparison to his siblings; rather eager to learn about the world around him than to see it unless accompanied by his mother or when old enough to have a fair bit of knowledge backing him up. I'd totally custom a little voodoo horse doll as an item that he'd for sure threaten soquili with XDDD Because don't cha know...

Beause Zandali is a WoW language? something like that.

his breed of soquili likes water and are made for water. She seriously also dislikes that her daughter has gone and bred with someone of that particular breed, klepi.

It comes from the troll language Zandali.
Zul apparantley means voodoo master.
" 'jin " can mean, "tribal chief", "elder", "tribal" or "great tribal"
It's a prefix,

Ysätters-Kajsa was a wind-troll, that people used to believe in, in the Swedish province of Närke. She was probably the only one of her kind in Scandinavia.
The Swedish writer Selma Lagerlöf immortalised Ysätters-Kajsa in her famous novel The Wonderful Adventures of Nils (1906-1907).
She wrote that in Närke, in the old days, there was something that existed nowhere else and it was a troll named Ysätters-Kajsa. She had been named Kajsa because wind-trolls used to be called by that name, and her cognomen Ysätter came from the swamp Ysätter (59°08′N, 15°33′E), in Asker parish, where she was born. She appeared to live in Asker parish, but she played jokes on people all over Närke.
She was not a dark and gloomy troll, but a happy and playful one. What she liked most, was a real gale, and as soon as there was enough wind, she left her home to have a dance on the Närke flatland. Närke is essentially nothing but a flatland, surrounded by woody hills. It is only in the north-eastern corner where we find Hjälmaren that there is an aperture.
When the wind, one morning had summoned its forces on the Baltic Sea and rushed into the hinterland, it rushes without being stopped across the hills of Södermanland into Närke. But, in Närke, it collides with the ridge of Kilsbergen, which turns it southwards, where it collides with Tiveden, which directs it eastwards, where it collides with Tylöskog. Then it rushes northwards where it collides with Käglan, and it turns the wind westwards again towards Kilsbergen, and so on. It turns round and round until it is nothing but a whirlwind on the plain.
It was in those days, when whirlwinds rushed over the plain that Ysätters-Kajsa had most fun. Then she stood in the centre of the whirlwind had had a very good time. Her long hair whirled among the clouds, her skirt dragged in the ground like a duststorm and the whole plain was under her like a dance floor.
In the mornings, Ysätters-Kajsa used to sit up on a high Scots Pine on the top of a high cliff and look out on the plain. If it were winter and the snow allowed easy driving in sleighs, she saw many people travelling on the plain. Then she would start a real storm and create snow drifts so so high that people could hardly come home to the evening. If it were summer and good weather for loading the dry hay on the fields, she would wait until the first carts had been fully loaded and then she would come rushing with a few rains which would put an end to the working day.
It is true that she rarely thought of anything else but creating annoyance. The colliers in Kilsbergen hardly dared sleep because as soon as she saw an unguarded charcoal kiln, she came sneaking and puffed so that it would start burning with high flames. If the ore transporters were going late from Laxå and Svartå, Ysätters-Kajsa caused such dark fogs that both people and horses went astray and drove into marshes and swamps.
If the vicar's wife in Glanshammar had prepared for afternoon coffee in her garden a Sunday in the summer and there was a breeze that lifted the table cloth and threw around both cups and plates, then everyone knew who was to blame. If the hat blew away from the mayor in Örebro, so that he had to run after it over the town square, if the people of the island of Vinön hit a shoal in lake Hjälmaren with their small cargo boats laden with vegetables, if laundry blew away and was heaped with dust, if the smoke one evening was blown into the houses, then it was an easy guess as to who was out having a good time.
In spite of the fact that Ysätters-Kajsa loved causing any kind of annoyance, she was not bad to the bone. People noticed that she was hardest on people who were quarrelsome, mean and wicked, but honest folks and small poor children, she often took into her care. Old people say that once when the church of Asker was burning, Ysätters-Kajsa came blowing and settled among fire and smoke on the roof of the church putting down the fire.
In many cases, the people of Närke were quite tired of the wind-troll, but she on the other hand, never got tired of causing trouble for them. When she was sitting on the top of a cloud, watching Närke, which lay under her with its affluence and wealth of prominent homesteads on the plain, and rich mines and ironworks in the hills, with its turpid Svartån River, and the shallow plain lakes that were so rich in fish, with its good old borough of Örebro that sprawled around the serious old castle with the sturdy towers, then she must have thought: "here people would be much too well off, if it were not for me, who shake them up and keep them happy". And then she would laugh widely and tauntingly like a magpie, and whirl away, dancing and whirling from one corner of the plain to another. When the farmer saw her run with her trail of dust over the plain, he could not help smiling, because however teasing and naughty she could be, she had a good temper. It was also just as refreshing for the farmers to deal with the troll, as it was for the plain to be whipped by the storm.
Lagerlöf finishes her presentation of the troll by saying: Nowadays, people claim that Ysätters-Kajsa is dead and gone, like all other trolls, but such things are almost impossible to believe. It is just as if someone would say that the air would be still on the plains and the wind would no more dance over it with whistling and roars and fresh air and downpours.

Kan'jin will be a proud stallion who definatly is proud of his family and who he is as a soquili(though one might think he can be over proud). he takes more after his father Kifo in fact he can be agressive, feirce, wild and cocky all at once. though he can be helpful and supportive (more for his family than others unless he feels like it or has the urge to) he tends to be a bit of a arrogant show off if he feels the urge to which is why none ever take him seriously(as who would take the show offy trickster seriously?). blunt, wild and cocky he definatly is a interesting combo of his parents. Kan'jin will be like this through his life though more than likey calm a bit as he gets older but it is unlikey he will change his ways that is unless his parents 'shove' him into changing his ways or something profound happens to him that changes his ways.

Ohgodsopretty? AND - My daddy is Norwegian and we have a family friend that lives in Sweden. So I grew up with tales of trolls, and even though I don't get to play seriously Trolls are my favourite race.

Yes, but I'd have to update the most recent patches to remember their names and levels.
Any ideas for helping the plot along?
Rokhan will take shamanism very seriously, and learn all he can from his mother. Basically being momma's lil' boy, and star pupil... But as he grows and learns more about the spiritual customs of the Kawani he adopts their rituals and ideas of the spiritual world. Being torn between the world of his mother and that of his own birthplace, he'll start a treasure hunt of his own for a perfect balance between the two, and in the process help Malis close the gap between the two worlds completely for herself.

Not at all! I think that would work amazingly well with the way I'd play him, and the personality I believe fits him.

Prompt 3: Malis got called away to help with a birthing. The night has turned dark and stormy and some odd noises are coming from the trees around Willowglen. How does your foal react? You can 'borrow' Sen'jin for the duration of the RP...
His eyes were wide and their yellow orange color practically glowed with unseen magics everytime the lightening struck. He'd watched his Momma go away, and he knew it was to help with the birthing of new foals, and though he missed her he wasn't concerned about that. No, when she'd left the first smell of electricity on the air had hit his nostrils and he'd known the storm was coming. The little blue foal with the dark markings had been good at knowing these things since the first day he'd burst from the basket. Some, like his Momma, said it was the spirits whispering in his ear. Others, well, they were a little more skeptical and called it luck. The way Rokahn saw it, luck did not exist. There was only what the spirits told and gave you.
Flash!
Another streak of light arced across the sky, striking the colt from his thoughts simoultaneously. The jolt of how close that one had been, and from being startled out of his head like that, made the hair all along his back stand on end as if he'd been charged full of lightening himself. That's when he heard the slow and steady trodding of small hooves behind him.
"Oi, mon." A voice very much like Rokhan's own sounded behind him. It was his brother, and it made him laugh how Sen'jin talked like their father despite being raised by their Momma. "Don't ya be thinkin' t' be time to come out o' tha rain?" Rokahn then heard the shaking of his brother's mane and knew the gesture was to make a point. "Ah be drownin'," he heard Sen say again.
Turning around, Rokhan shook his head and smiled. He knew this time his eyes looked as though they could see right through the other colt. "I be stayin' here," he answered slowly and delibritely. "Th' spooks be talkin' tonight." With another eerie smile, the young troll turned back to watch the skies and there he stayed until the skies cleared.

Even thought I have Tooki, I would like to be more involved in the troll family, and the idea of a full troll is just awesome. If you had a Bokbok, what would you call it? I have a blue one. Trying to do both at once is a failure, and ulitmately youthful exploring and fun win out. He follows his brother, with intentions to come back to the lesson later. Prompt 3: Nazgrel was starting to get worried. Malis was still gone and the rain was pouring down in sheets. He nuzzled closer to his brother, his ears laying flat. A sudden noise caused them to perk back up, the foal glancing around with wide eyes. "Sen'jin...did you hear that?" Sen'jin snored softly, oblivious to anything beyond his dreams. Nazgrel frowned, then glanced back to the trees. He could see something moving closer to the hollow trunk they were sheltered in. His mind raced over the lessons his mother had been teaching, trying to think of something that could help. The foal was angry at himself, he should have paid more attention. The shadow was moving closer, and Nazgrel was considering waking his brother. At least with two of them, they might have a fighting chance. He was just aiming his hind leg to kick Sen'jin when he caught a familar sound. Bangles...the shadow was wearing bangles. He put his hoof down and looked to see that his mother had returned. (hope it was okay to use malis a tad in that last prompt. i did all three, hope that was alright too.)

The troll family looks very fun and I really like the idea behind them. If you had a Bokbok, what would you call it? Hmmm, Peon! Do you play WoW? Llane lvl 70 NE Hunter, been on that chara for three years... Also a gnome mage on Arthas, lvl 30. And like a million alts on random servers of both sides. I did play a tauren shammy for a while to 40. Any ideas for helping the plot along? I currently have no suggestions to story line, but since shammys are one of my favorite classes in WoW, it'd be fun to rp one of them. Do you like RPing? Yep! When I have the time I love to rp. If you plan on breeding at a later date will you mind having Malis be a factor? Of course, I like the idea of the mother wanting a say is fine, and helps with story line. 1: Why is Zandali's name special? Named for the Zandalar tribe, Zandali is the language the trolls speak, also means troll literally. They make home in Stranglethorn Vale now and ask for help to clean up ZG! 2: Malis helped out a white stallion who belongs to another family line of greatness (owned by Meeki), Who was he? Ezriel 3: Why does Malis not like Icarus? Malis doesn't seem to like things of water, and Icarus is part kelpie. Also maybe because he is the mate to her daughter Tai'jin. 4: Where does Zul'jin's name come from? In Wow, he is the Warlord of the Amani forest trolls and also the chieftain of the Amani tribe. His name perhaps could be a representation of his title, along the lines of 'great tribal witch doctor.' 5: Faire Malis is a Vitterfolk troll, what is special about her hair? There is a single lock of her hair that no human can comb. 6: What tastes like Candifloss? Mmmmm, fairy wings. 7: WoW Malis is from Yojamba Isle, what tribe of trolls live there and why are they special? That is where the Zandalar tribe lives and they are the progenitor race from which all trolls came from. They are also recruiting for ZG efforts. 8: Who was the first person Tai'jin ever met? Eponine 9: Tell me a little bit about Ysätters-Kajsa. She is a wind troll from Närke, a Swedish providence. She is said to be the only of her kind and was made famous in the novel The Wonderful Adventures of Nils. 10: Who taught Malis how to flirt? But ye old wowarmory tells me you are in Symphony of Eternity (that is if it is updated). Promt 2/3: Zak’nafien’s mind was racing back to events from earlier in the day as he rested his head. Currently the sky was darkening and his mother had stepped out to help with a birthing though his thoughts were else were. His mother had taken him and Sen’jin out earlier for some lessons on life, survival and the spirits. Zak tried his hardest to listen as his brother prodded him and tried to get him to leave, he wanted to go after bugs or something. But no, Zak was deeply interested in learning what his mom wanted to teach them, he always felt a connection to other things. Eventually, his brother quieted down, either he left for some moments or actually took a hint. What his mother had to say about spirits and totems was all amazing, though he did not understand everything, he took in all that he did. Now he was trying to remember all that she had spoken of and tried to put some of the pieces together. Some things were still unexplained, and will always stay that way, though he was determined to figure out some of the unanswered questions one day, after her became a great shaman. His eyes looked up to the sky as he saw a flash and then a few seconds later a crack. Even now he could imagine the images of the swirling spirits as they commanded the elements. Zak’s eyes finally closed as he still thought of his lessons and dreamed of seeing the elemental spirits with his own eyes.

X3 Why would you like one of the troll family? Well I love all your Malis pets, really and I'm always reading up on her and her broods in different shops that I go to. I would love a chance to interact with her more and what better way than with one of her own children? If you had a Bokbok, what would you call it? He knew that their mother was only trying to instill in them the ‘old ways.’ He wanted to follow in his mother’s ways, to be someone that brought pride to their brood. Sen’jin wasn’t making it easy, mostly because Rokhan himself wanted so badly to just give in and play as well. There was so much to see, so much they could do, and it all looked so fun! Ah! What had their mother just said? Curse it, he had been paying so much attention to his brother that he hadn’t heard what their mother had said. Had it been something important? Rokhan fidgeted in bit in place, determined to learn their ways from the shamanic mare. But Sen’jin’s antics were still catching his attention. He was still young, after all. He wanted to play, too! He danced a bit in place, looking between his brother and back to their mother. Ooooh! Darn that Sen’jin! Play could come later, he told himself firmly! He had plenty of time to play, but would their mother always have time to teach them like she was now? She was a busy filly after all. He wanted to pay attention, he really did, but… but… the world was before him, begging to be explored! And if he didn’t go Sen’jin would be sure not to let him hear the end of it, he was sure… but… but… He was a proud little stallion, he wanted to learn… but he wanted to explore, too…He had plenty of time to learn the teachings of a shaman, didn’t he? He was young, he had plenty of time. He was fidgeting and prancing in place, looking torn. No! No! He wanted to learn, he would learn! He would learn all his mother had to teach him and bring pride to their brood. He’d have plenty of time to explore the world around him once he was older. Yes… he’d wait… he could wait! The world would still be there if he waited. Little did the foal know that choices he made now would have such a deep impact on who he became in the future. But the little stallion had made his choice and now followed the path set before him.

I would like one of the troll family because they are such a unique and diverse family. Everything from their looks to their personality is special and that really interests me. How does he react around others? Are they proud to be in one of the best family lines around? Are they helpful and supportive to others, do they feel the healers soul within them? Are they aggressive and fierce, travelers at heart? How does he feel about his mother and his siblings, his niece? Taz'dingo is a lad who doesn't just want to see things, he wants to understand them. He constantly questions the reason behind everything, from why the sun disappears every night to the reasons behind life itself. The moon and the stars are the subject of his thoughts on many nights and he loves to just stare up at them, wondering to himself about how they got there in the first place and if they're as beautiful up close as they are from a distance. He is eager to learn everything his family has to teach him, from his mother's knowledge of spirits to his father's jokes. He will always care deeply for them and is fiercely protective of them. Taz'dingo will always do the best he can to please the people around him to a certain point because he wants everyone to feel that they have a friend in him at least.
