@Oscar: Indeed. Perhaps the former allusions to Miho being some sort of Queen-Of-The-Undead is true and as a not-exactly-zombie thing she is probably much harder to kill than a regular zombie.

@Kyou: We're talking about the story arc that occured just previous to the Omake, not the Omake.

I personally don't believe she is exactly "undead" in the conventional standards, but rather a equivilent of a magical girl for the dark side. But I digress, I'm not at all a professional when it comes to reading a maga artist's mind.

The end of chapter nine made me think that maybe Miho's 'death' heralds a change in her character... perhaps she'll become a little less Queen-of-the-Dead and a little more approachable?

I agree. Miho is somewhat like my own character Reggie in my story (or Reggie is somewhat like Miho...whatever). A character like her would not be killed in a careless, unemotional manner. This would send shockwaves of outrage and despair from Fred's many fans. (hmmm, this sounds kind of similar to Hanasaka-san's past story...oh well)
Still, you can not believe that there is no possible way that she IS dead. Perhaps she is. Perhaps the reason for her death will soon arize. Perhaps she had to die in order for the story to reach a surprising ending. I myself plan to 'kill' one of my characters in my manga, so that sets of events may unfold and bring about the near destrution of Tokyo. But my plan also involves bringing this character back to life to stop this. Perhaps Fred's story will result in something similar.

Only time will tell I suppose.

A lot of the time people just don't have something to say. I'm sure it had nothing to do with your post.

Ah. That would explain a lot. Thank you.
