My theories during the episode were that she was a past or future companion, that she was the TARDIS or she is a future version of the Doctor, but that last one isn't possible because it could create a time paradox. sweatdrop

No, the Doctor is able to meet himself as long as it isn't HIMSELF. As in, number 10 can't meet number 10 but he can meet number 1-9 and 11-???(max 14 by old rules).
The spoiler stuff HAS to be a remark at the fact the newspapers ALWAYS print major plot-spoilers.
It's doubtful she's the TARDIS ... that's just rose and they don't look alike. She's a FUTURE companion 'cause The Doctor hasn't met her yet razz If she dies then she can still be a companion 'cause this is her future but his past razz Oh teh confusion of Time-Travel!

She hasn't met him yet, but she has. In her linear life she has met The Doctor and gone with him. IF The Doctor meets her in HIS sort-of linear life (as in the way his life goes ... not real time) then he HAS to take her with him. He has no choice. If she doesn't go with him then he ******** up time. She wont know him in the Library and she wont die there ... I mean ... I don't know she's going to die but it's likely XD

Well, him meeting her is established history now. He can't stop taking her with him. Otherwise she wouldn't have told him in the library and that could drastically change the outcome of the next episode! I mean, if she DIDN'T know him, then she wouldn't have trusted him, wouldn't have had the diary and wouldn't have had the Sonic Screwdriver. The Doctor has no choice but to let it happen, no matter what happens between the two of them.

Trivia Time biggrin From DWM (and the website) - this is the 50th episode of the new series! Excluding Children in need specials razz The Squareness Gun (what River Song used) is similar to Jack's Gun. Which means it's not the same gun ... I mean, why didn't she seal up the wall if it was razz Also ... what century was Jack from? 51st or 52nd?
