The female blinked a few times looking to meet the eyes of the other. She said nothing as she listened to him. Then looking to the female took a deep breath. She then slowly let it out as she closed her eyes.
"I dream that one day my mind would be clear and my own." She said boldly as she curled around herself a little as she opened her eyes and looked at her scars. She winced keeping her eyes shut. She didn't open them again until several moments later looking back to the male.
"Akiiki..." She said softly as she grew a slight blush to her cheeks. "Do you think I'm pretty?" She asked boldly as she looked away. She looked at the ground as her paws began to stretch out against the sands.
"I mean do you think someone would like me...despite my scars. I know I honor them but do you think another one would?" She said as she looked at the wound on her lower upper leg.
"Sometime I wonder if I'm fated to walk the earth alone..."

"That's a wonderful...." Akiiki was cut off by the next comment before he even finished one of his own. The weak spot was the warm spot in the center of his icy heart and she tapped it with one of her small claws.
Coughing and looking up at the stars, Aki tried to form a statement back that would soothe her as well as prevent himself from being hurt for it in the same moment. He didn't want to tell her no, but he also didn't want to become so philosolophical on her, he was sure that she wouldn't enjoy hearing a demi-god tell her of the stars and the long dead.
"You're very pretty, your scars are proof that you struggle against something you shouldn't have to, they only add to how beautiful you are because it shows that you fight for your own soul to shine through." Aki said finally, his voice a fluted whisper. Unsure of how to explain to her just how pretty he truely thought she was while at the same time attempting not to hint that he did in fact find her pretty HIMSELF.. that was a struggle.
"However, and truely I mean this, you're never alone." He smiled sadly at this. "We never are. Those that've gone before us watch our steps, guide them so that we find what we're meant to find in this life. So that we find the ones we're meant to find. My mother and father always claimed that I would understand one day, though truthfully I don't know that I deserve one day of joy on this place we call earth. You on the other hand, who fight and still can smile so widely when you meet others... you'll find exactly what you're looking for." Aki grinned at her, it was the best grin he had even if it was forced a bit because he was unused to the feeling, "If you ever find yourself lonely just say the name 'Athrun' and I promise help will come to you. If you feel so inclined, when you leave my presence you can give him my name, he'll help you."

She blushed slightly listening to him with exstream interest not wanting to miss a single word. The red eyed beauty then tilted her head hearing the name Athrun. Akiiki seemed to hold high respect for this being. She then looked to the male with soft eyes as she moved closer. She nibbled on her bottom lip a little she then moved on to her back legs and fell into Akiiki brasking herself on his shoulder as her nose touched his softly.
"Akiiki...why...why do say you will never find joy?" She said her nose still touching his before she moved slightly to give him a makeshift hug one best could for being a four legged furry feline.
"Akiiki doesn't being with another that is not inside you head bring you the slightest bit of joy?" She said as she nuzzled into him despite his not to fondness to touch.
"Akiiki...do I not please you in ways you please me?" She whispered into his ear softly as she closed her eyes while leaning into the male.

It was as if something in the pit of his stomach rolled over and screamed at the top of it's lungs. Here he was with a very pretty lioness, sprawled out on the savannah grass in the middle of the night and letting her press her nose against his and nuzzle him. What was he thinking for god's sake?
But he liked it.
Something deeper than the pit of his stomach purred loudly within him and Aki found his eyes closing as a blush settled over his face.
"For years I allowed a demon to run around in my skin and do things in my name. I've attacked and nearly killed my own father despite having no wish to do it myself, I've turned my back on my brother, my friends, my family. How could something like me ever deserve to smile a true smile?" Sadness wormed it's way into his voice so thickly that for once the music was gone and only a ragged whisper remained. A ragged and pained whisper from a lion that had felt too much mental and physical torment in his life. "I do like you... but I don't deserve to be happy."

The female pulled away as she looked to him with pain in her eyes. "You say you like me but you let you past get in the way of maybe...just maybe a beautiful friendship and then something more possible!" She yelled out angered. She then turned on her heels and began to run away from him.
"I can't...I can't do this!" She whimpered to herself but she stopped not far away as the demon in inside her began to yell out. ~Hurt...him...hurt him like he hurt you!~ Oni'awiti said but Maso finally being brave and standing up for herself stopped in her tracks threw her head back letting out a vicious loud roar waking the beast of the Savannah. More impotently she had woken a few buffalo who began to stamped her way. The female with the look of terror on her face move lower to the ground her ears flat against her as her hair began to stand up. She had see terror before but nothing such as this a thus she acted like but a small cub and did nothing from froze of fear.
~MOVE!~ Oni'awiti yelled out in her mind but she ignored it as it putting Oniawiti on mute for the time being.

In shame, Akiiki hung his head, his violet mane obscuring his eyes from sight as he thought over all the things he'd just said. He believed every one of them with his entire being. He didn't believe that he deserved her. Surely she deserved someone that was as comfortable with themselves as she was with herself.
Clearly, as she was with herself.
His paw was almost pressed against his nose when he heard the sound that always chilled his bones. Large hooved beasts were running on the savannah... very close on the savannah.
His head snapped up and Aki saw the herd running full tilt in fear towards him... towards Maso who was frozen in what he could only figure was fear or anger at him.. but why wasn't she MOVING?!
"Maso! Move!" He snarled out, but she didn't move, why wasn't she moving?
At the last second Aki leapt towards her and rammed his head into her side, sending her flying a few good feet out of the path of the herd's fearful stampede. She was safe but he wasn't. Seconds after he'd shoved her from the herd's path, he was himself enveloped in it.

The female fell to the ground away out of the stampede she then looked frantically for the male as she began to grow worried. The female then watched the beasts leave leaving the area filled with dust. She looked to the sky as she willed the moon to shine freely from the little clouds in the sky so she could hopefully...hopefully find the white male she was growing attached to.
