Tuli looked over to Karma, her head tilted a bit. She wouldn't have caught what Mel had said had it not been for Karma's reaction. She turned back to Mel, "Yeah, have you told Mom?"
She wondered if their family was bigger than they originally thought. Karma had a good knack for catching on to things. She turned to Karma and curiously asked, "Are you serious about the markings? Are we really rare?" she'd never really noticed that her family was the only ones with the markings.

Mel looked at both of them curiously wondering why this was such an amazing discovery but shook his head at both their questions. "No I haven't told mom, I haven't had a chance to see her recently. And how do you know it's rare? Just because we've only seen us and mom have them? For all we know there could be a whole other land full of lotus soquili." He shrugged and tossed a braid out of his face as he looked at his two siblings. "If you really think she should know we could always head over there, it's not that far away from where we are now."

"I haven't seen any other lotus soquili on my travels so I can at least say they are uncommon." He hadn't encountered anyone who recognized his patterns either. He had received a decent amount of curiosity and he imagined that they would be much less curious if the pink flowers were more readily seen on others.
He looked in the direction of their parents' home and considered. "I was planning on seeing them shortly anyways. I could bring the information if you would rather not."

Tuli still lived, well....with Mom and Dad basically. She didn't have a preference if they went to see them right now or not, personally. She would like to know more about this other lotus though...Would their mom know?
"I should pay more attention," She said more to herself than to her brothers. Again, she'd never really realized they were different from the others. She turned to Mel, her head tilted a bit, "What'd she say about the lotus's?"

"I can't remember much right now but just that it was a blessing and that we were wise. Deep stuff like that and she talked about some stuff I really didn't understand." Mel recalled the encounter with the lotus mare and could see some similarities between her and their mother but also some big differences. Who knows, they could actually be related to her in some way. "You both can go on ahead. I need to go check on something real quick but then I'll head on over to find you guys again. Maybe mom knows this mare, that would sure be something wouldn't it?"

"That would be..." That would be what if his mother did know the other mare? Fate? Perhaps. Stranger things had happened and it wasn't as unlikely as it could be. Karma let his words trail off unsaid and instead looked in the direction of the abode of their parents.
"If you have something else to do, Melanthios, I will go with our sister to pay our parents a visit and discuss this." Going ahead of their brother would allow them use of their wings as well, which would make it a swifter journey.
"Shall we go, Tuli?" he asked, blue eyes turning back to his sister.
