Neva glared at him. "Yes Observation is right! Now I have every right to think of myself as I please. I may not be able to change your opinion of me but that also means you can't change mine either." Where in the world were his parents? Or guardian? "Why aren't you at home?" she asked changing the subject.

Amitola thought for a moment. "I suppose that's right." When she asked why he wasn't home, he grinned. "Well, I was in my baskets for months, Midori says. She told me I could go out and explore this new world. It took long enough for me to convince her, twenty or so settings of the sun. How long is a month?"

Man this foal's parents were nuts. "A month is a month long." she said sarcastically. "Shouldn't you be with your parents instead of wandering around by yourself. At least anyways take another foal friend with you?" Man if her mother had let her wander more often when she was younger she would have been in heaven.

Amitola rolled his eyes. "I mean how many days are in a month. And Midori says that she knows Phae bugs me some times, so she told me I may as well go alone. That, and she says it 'builds character' to find out new things when wandering and playing on your own. Though I much prefer the company of things other than bugs. I don't talk much at home." Nodding, he fluttered his wings. "I'm Amitola, just in case you were wondering." He knew she wasn't, but was hoping to catch her name. 'Miss' was beginning to sound a bit boring to him.

"A month is about 30 days long if you absolutly must know." The wind mare rolled her eyes as she spoke. Annoying little foal he was. "So your mother isn't worried at all about you getting eaten by a Kalona or Skinwalker? She must not love you that much." So his name was Amitola was it? Well maybe she should give him her name. "Neva." That was all she said in relation to her name. If he didn't catch on then it was his own fault.

"Wow. I was in my basket for like..." He wasn't the greatest at math, but figured it out. "90 days, then. That's a long time, huh? And my parents don't know I wander off. I don't live with them. I live with a grumpy old mare named Midori who's very protective, but believes greatly that I need to learn to defend myself if anything like that comes along. That, or learn how to run really fast." Amitola nodded and barely caught the name, but grinned. "Well it's nice to officially meet you, Neva. Does it mean anything? Mine means 'Rainbow'. It's probably from the colors of my pelt. I got it from my father."

Wow. Doesn't live with parents and free to wander? That stupid foal was lucky! "So you have not a care in the world if you get eaten by some vicious Kalona or skinwalker?" She asked him with a now slightly amused look in her eyes. "My name? I don't remember if it means anything. I think it has something to do with snow." Neva snorted at the thought of snow. Snow reminded her of her mother.

"Well, that doesn't happen every day, so I'm not too awfully worried about it. And if that does happen, I tend to be able to smart-a** my way out of stuff. That's what Auntie Dusty says." He nodded, and his ears perked at the word 'snow.' "I heard snow's really pretty. Midori says that I was born when there was snow out. But I've never really seen it. What does it look like? What is it?"
