The odd little lioness looked at the other as if something strange had passed. "Family?" she asked with the flick of an ear, as if the word was new to her. "I don't know what your talking about. I am alone." Of course she knew what a family was, that was common sense. As far as having one of her own, there was no memory. As far as Keefa was concerned, everything that happened before memory was another life. One that she would never know.

No family...That would certainly explain things. And although the girl WAS a lion, and not one of her own...Kono was not about to let Keefa continue on her own. For one thing, it wasn't right for anyone to travel alone for too long. And it sounded like Keefa had been alone for a long time. For another thing...Kono suspected she was a bright girl...but she seemed to have her more...daft moments.
Kono nodded. "Well then...would you like some company in traveling then?"

Not in all other memories could Keefa recall a time when someone actually wanted to be with her. Someone to talk to, hunt with, and who could make the cold lonely nights a little bit cheerier. Truly, she was flattered.
"I-I would love that," she said. "Thank you."

Kono smiled...a strange looking expression on her, but an honest and almost motherly one nonetheless. "It is no problem. No problem at all." It would be interesting traveling again, but Kono looked forward to it. She'd kept herself alone for too long. It was time to care again.

As Keefa's fur became clean once more she turned to her new friend, asking Kona if she perhaps had any ties to close and if they should rest there for the night.
