Snape only killed ALbus because of the vow he made to narcissa. if he wouldn't have made that vow albus would still be alive. But i don't think snape is as evil as people say he is. He's just a confussed person.

So many horrible things have happened to Snape...and I really think he hated to kill Dumbledore. Even after it all, no matter what anyone else says...Severus Snape will always be on my top five Fav. list.

I do not think that Snape is evil (Although I use to) because along with the good points that others have made in the thread, I found some very good quotes from the 4th book. (Hard cover - US version)
"And here we have six missing Death Eaters... three dead in my service. One, too cowardly to return (Karkaroff)... he will pay. One, who I believe has left me forever... he will be killed, of course (Snape)... and one, who remains my most faithful servant, and who has already reentered my service." (Crouch) p.651 book 4
"It's coming back... Karkaroff's too... stronger and clearer than ever..." (Talking about the Dark Mark on his arm and telling Dumbledore) p.598 book 4
"Severus," said Dumbledore, turning to Snape, "you know what I must ask you to do. If you are ready... if you are prepared..." "I am," said Snape. (Talking to him after Harry was port-keyed back to Hogwarts and sending him on his first mission) p. 713 book 4
I think that all of these show loyalty to Dumbledore, not to Voldomort.

Well. I have my reasons for still loving Snape. Mainly because he's one of the few characters that remains interesting, in my opinion. Secondly... he seemed quite agitated at the end of HBP. If he was truely evil, would he really be that pissy and obviously unhappy after killing Voldy's main rival? No. He'd be rejoycing. Which is exactly why he's not evil.
Because he wasn't rejoycing.
He was pissy.

I think Snape killed Dumbledore for only one reason. Because he made the Unbreakable Vow. He agreed to make the vow to Narcissa as to not seem so suspicious. And she said something along the lines that if Draco does not carry out his duty, that Snape shall do it for him. Snape's had twitched. Meaning he showed reluctancy on the subject, but he did not move it away. I do not believe that Snape is truly evil, I think he killed Dumbledore to save his own life. Not what most would have done, but there is reasoning behind it.
