Veroen stared off into space, for no longer than a second before Meredith finally woke up. He quickly shifted his gaze and watched her as she laid there in complete surprise. He looked down after she mentioned what ahd happened, full of regret for almost killing her.
He did not say anything for a moment.
He then got up, filled a glass of water, and brought it to her without a word, and used his other arm to prop her up into a sitting position, with her back against the one pillow on his bed. He then grabbed her hand, and turned it upright, and dropped three Iron pills into it, and handed her the glass of water.
"This will help with the bloodloss." he said quietly, looking down slightly, unable to look her in the eyes.

Eden didn't need to be told that he was ashamed of his actions and not only that but the lack of his explanation told her everything she'd asked as well. This was his place, she'd fainted from blood loss, he'd brought her fruit and water and pills to help her out with her blood loss. He was feeling guilty for what had happened and yet she couldn't imagine why he'd feel this bad about it, after all, he had spared her and she was alive. She was definitely well enough to be up and about walking though she'd probably be a little nauseated and light headed but other than that she was certain the she was going to be as fine as a fiddle. However, Veroen seemed to be acting as if he'd brought her to the brink of death and was now serving as her full time nurse.
"I'm good. I've had worse gashes that lost me tons more blood than this before."
When he still refused to look at her, she grew impatient though not angry and grabbed his arm, knowing full well it wouldn't hurt him. She wanted him to look her in the eyes, she wanted him to realize that she was almost perfectly fine and that he didn't have to be angry with himself or ashamed of himself. Hopefully though he would learn his lesson and not starve himself to the point that he attacked someone that happened to be stupid and clumsy like her and accidentally bleed.
"Veroen ... look, I'm fine. See? I promise that I'm fine so you don't have to be so hard on yourself about all of this. You waited too long and I was dumb and careless. It was my fault you lost it. Okay?"

Veroen did not say anything to her attempts at making it seem like it was ok. He just simply gestured toward the pills and water he offered her.

Meredith sighed and decided to take the pills without arguing though she was next to phobic of pills and didn't trust them at all since she always worried they were poisoned somehow and would kill her or something. She decided that trying to let him know that everything was fine wasn't going to work so she gave up on trying to make him see that it really wasn't that bad and that she was alive and that she was grateful for that. After all, he could have just as easily bitten her neck and severed her arteries, which would have done permanent and lethal damage that would be irreversible.
"Thanks."
She downed the rest of the water and then decided that things were now awkward. What the hell was she supposed to do now? Walk out, ask to walk out, wait for him to decide when she could walk out? What exactly was he planning to have her do? Lay down in his bed that he probably never used and rest to recover from the blood loss that he'd caused her when it was pretty minor?
"So are you trapping me here and keeping me in a prison cell with a very nice bed or what? I'm good to go so ... yeah ..."

Meredith took a random fruit from him and bit into it, not really caring what it was seeing as though she just wanted him to stop wallowing in whatever it was he was wallowing in. She then held up the finished apple for him to see with a sarcastic expression that said everything she wanted to say though she decided to ask anyhow.
"There mother, can I leave now?"

Veroen looked at her, somewhat satisfied that she was fine now.
"Yes. You may do as you wish."

"So what sort of assassin are you anyhow if you go and start sucking a human that a hunter no less ... Yeah ... what sort of assassin are you? Aren't you supposed to have no remorse and just not care if I die kind of thing? Not to say that I'm ungrateful or that I'm encouraging you to try and kill me but yeah. I guess I probably mean thanks for saving me and making sure I'm alright even if you're annoying about it."
Now it was her turn to not meet his gaze and instead her hazel eyes adverted themselves to her feet as she began to wiggle her toes though her boots were on so there really wasn't any point to watching them. However, she didn't care what the excuse was to look away or even if there was one but her hazel eyes found it impossible to meet Veroen's now crimson eyes. Embarrassment? Why would she be embarrassed of such a thing?
'Oh come off it. You're crazy, girl ... Really crazy ...'

Veroen silently looked at her for a moment.
"Believe it or not, Assassin's have hearts too." Veroen said, again expressionless. It was a habit to have a look like that on his face.

Edith laid her head down on the bed and decided to stare up at the ceiling though she didn't know why she was really sticking around. It was probably because she had nothing better to do and to go to haven she would only see the new hunters that she didn't know and didn't want to make the effort of getting to know. People, everyone, no one, she didn't trust anymore and that was that so new friendships were pretty pointless as far as she was concerned when it came to trying to talk to new hunters and whatnot.
"Hm ... go figure. What else do you have that I probably wouldn't believe you have unless you told me?"

"Hm ... sounds exhilirating ..."
She just continued to lay there on the bed and stare up at the ceiling, clearly distracted or perhaps just simply adverting her gaze still as she had been before.

Veroen cocked an eyebrow at her last word, wondering what she meant by it.
he then finally noticed that she seemed to have something else on her mind.
"everything ok?" he asked, looking at her now.

She was purposely vague and she didn't want to talk about the subject really, hence her reason for being so vague and not bothering to look at Veroen as she spoke. The last thing she needed to do was get into a rant about how her life sucked and break down after she'd been brought to his house to assure she didn't lose too much blood. However, she was too scatter brained to change the subject properly either.

Veroen's mind was now clear, and could properly think straight. He looked at her, and used his reading skills to determine what was bothering her. It seemed as thoughthere was alot on her mind, and that she wasnt really showing it.
"I think i have something else that you wouldn't believe unless i told you." Veroen said, with a slight smile playing on the corner of his lips.
