There was a spark of contempt deep within the female's grey eyes, though the mask she wore did its job in hiding it. "And so you think because he's a pure blooded, fully emotionless that he's got the one-up on us?" her voice snaped, fangs bared. "He should have known far far before hand that mentaly he couldn't take in such a thing. -Not that I'm complaining, as you are good company. Besides, as a telepath AND a genius, I'd naturally be stronger then him no matter what the case."
Pestilence wasn't really a genius, she simply told others she was. In fact she was around normal intelligence, but she knew how to act, she knew how to fake things, and she knew just which heads to poke around in to learn from. She knew just how to make herself smarter, and the fact that she was in a sense a weapons master it certainly boosted her 'genius' look. How she had come this far in weapon building was out of sheer determination.
How could one even think that someone with a power like hers could have mental limits. She wanted to understand it, but really such a thing sounded so stupid. "And honestly Verix. It's no wonder that YOU have limits. If you're thinking like that all the time, however do you expect to get any stronger. Didn't anyone teach you anything?" there was a snide tone in her voice, though she hadn't ment any of what she had said to be an insult. It was simply the way her voice had wraped around those pirticular words.
Pestilence slowly paced back and forth, keeping her gaze upon the other female. "Really now. I suppose I can tell you what I feel." she grunted, ears pressing against the back of her head. "I have one. And ONLY ONE! And really I'm quite surpised you even have to ask about it. Just about everyone else notices I have a bit of an.....anger issue." A black tiped tail flicking in Verix's face. "But I can assure you that it only fuels my power and it will in the end help with the Apocalypse! Why else would I have been given it otherwise."
The silver female relaxed her shoulders, kicking up some dirt with her tails. "Aren't you capable of learning magic too? Couldn't you just do some magic hocus pocus and remove the barrier, if you don't have time to crush it by force? And if the enemy is just going to sit behind a barrier they are simply a coward, and cowards are easy to get rid of, if you know the right time to strike."

Verix shrugged. She knew not to argue when Pez started to talk about her abilities. Anyway, she was bored of arguing about their limits and talking about her grandfather. Family was another business entirely and honestly, she didn't feel like she could continue defending Saix after how he had treated her.
Nobodies. Such mind-boggling creatures.
The female snorted with a laugh. "I was raised by my pansy of an uncle. Always tried to keep me out of trouble and away from learning more about magic. I think he was scared of the consequences if I ever learned any dangerous spells." Which she did, of course.
"I know about anger." She smirked. "And you're darned right, it fuels destruction well." She gestured at the trees scattered around them. Anger. Such a volatile emotion, and one of those that usually hit her. It was better than those like guilt anyway.
"I never found a counterspell to that." She made a face. Perhaps it was because she couldn't concentrate well on flipping through books and reading them properly. Note to self: When Derix and I get a slave, make him/her find it for me. "The very fact that the enemy is a coward already pissed me off in the beginning." Her gold eyes sparkled, a gleam of evil in them. She and Derix had began plotting to get their revenge. Though Verix would have liked to do it herself, it seemed that Hiroyuki had her sister, an ally who could also use magic.
