The yups! 3nodding *gives Dreamis a cookie* whee
Well I've got a couple but I'm not very good at Resident Evil games hehe! rofl I always panic and don't know what to do when something attacks me...but I don't get scared... ninja Nopes! whee I prefer watching Noxlu play them, he's a lot better....oooh and my Brother! They are very good zombie mashing peoples lol! rofl I don't know what's going on with the wii though! crying The only other thing that would give any game developer a reason to avoid making games for it is just being lazy! 3nodding Like the really poop movie games on wii, they look just like the ps2 games but with arm-wavyness! The wii has better graphics and hardly anybody but Nintendo themselves can be bothered to use its extra power! gonk So maybe its a combination if the wii being wrongly called a temporary gimmick and the laziness in being able to do very bad ports from the ps2. 3nodding But the ps2 isn't going to last much longer, so the lazy part will soon stop! whee I hope! Soooo...hets hope for a good Castlevania game fo the wii! 4laugh
Oooh um yush of course! Sorry! sweatdrop I'll send you a request! 3nodding

Kenshin Belmont
Really Luxlui? I always thought the game cube wasn't as graphically powerful as the PS2. Oh well... rolleyes
Gee, you didn't like Charlotte? How come? I kinda liked her cuz she was like the voice of reason in the game. I usually like a smart girl better. You know?

Get this though, on a recent interview about the new game for DS, IGA said he wasn't considering programming a CV game for Wii cuz he thinks gamers would get tired of swinging the whip with the wiimote all the time. I say this:
Why not make it so you don't have to use it like that all the time? I mean, why not just make motions from time to time like the stylus was used in DoS? IGA could even make it so that you can use the game cube's controller to control the action or, maybe even the virtual console's controller. 3nodding
What do you all think?

I think that idea sounds awesome, Kenshin. I think the Castlevania title being made for the new consoles is a movie tie-in. Hopefully the movie is about Simon Belmont, but part of the story is set with Knights, so it could be Leon.

I can't believe I missed such an awesome conversation! crying but I suppose I'll try to add to the conversation. What does everyone think of the retcons in the Castlevania series, you know, like the removal of Sonia Belmont, Nathan Graves and other characters from the storyline?
In the case of Sonia, I'd say its pretty dumb, because now with the new DS game, 'Order of Ecclesia' the protagonist is female, so I wonder what was so bad about Sonia? Has anyone else noticed how similar she and Maria Renard (SoTN) look when compared? its almost like Sonia was scrapped as Alucard's love interest, and Maria was made to look everything like her, weird hm? confused
PostPosted: Sun Jun 01, 2008 5:06 am

aww hell everyone's said what I wanted to say! scream my bad for arriving at the conversation too late sweatdrop
I will agree a new female protagonist can breathe a breath of life into a supposedly mysoginistic series, why can't a woman be an a** kicker? I mean I have Dracula X Chronicles (finally) and evil Annette kicked my a** all over the screen so just think what she could do if she was kicking a** on the side of good. eek
I always wondered why there were no gamecube Castlevanias...damn you konami (shakes fist) However on the Wii there is the issue of how a player is supposed to perform attacks that can be registerd by the console through the sensor. I mean I have the Bleach : Shattered Blade game for the Wii at the moment.(mucho thanks to my cousin for getting me into it otherwise I would have missed it completely) The controls are very basic- sometimes controls can even get mixed up- or maybe I'm just crap at the game lol

I don't know they whole story on Sonia Belmont. But I have seen a lack in female a** kickers. I'm guessing it's because they're usually the ones being kidnapped and turned into vampires/succubus's. But that is juts my guess. I haven't read much about the new Castlevania game...but for all we know, and if you guys do know...please tell me lol. Sonia Belmont may be in the game. And I think there is a lot wrong with the time line. It confuses me greatly. It's saying that the Dracula they're talking about was born in the 1300's, be he wasn't born until 1431. Yes I am that much of a dork. lol And I think that if they do make a DS game, their are going to be a lot more weapons to use. So you're able to do more things in the game. They have to make it fun right? lol

I hear ya Luxlui! I don't get scared with zombie games either. At least, not with the very few I've played.
But yeah, I agree that some people in the industry seem just lazy.
Thanks for the friend request!

Thanks Soma! I thought something like Smash Brothers Brawl would be a good example for other companies that want to program a game for the Wii. I mean, being able to control the game in more ways just makes a game even better, wouldn't you say?
As for the games that have been removed from the official storline, well... I suppose I hate the fact that some have been removed, not all of them. I liked Sonia Belmont but her game is way too difficult. They should re-release it in an enhanced version. I doubt that's gonna happen anytime soon though...
I liked that they removed Circle of the Moon from the timeline cuz I hated a lot of things about that game. I don't get why they made some completely new characters that don't have anything to do with the Belmont lineage. I mean, Nathan Graves!? Come on! He's not even a Morris for God's sakes! And where was the Lecarde who allowed him to use the Vampire Killer in the first place? And what's with making the Morris last name into a first name anyway? Morris Baldwin!? That sucks! Sorry if this sounds harsh but I just hated this. The story was not very well thought of and the main characters had the typical rivalry we have seen time and time again in not only CV but, in other games too. There were other things I hated about this game so don't get me started.
I don't mind that the CV games for N64 were removed cuz they were quite difficult for me and I didn't like that Reindhart character much either. I did like Carrie Fernandez though. mrgreen

Yeap! It's a shame Konami forgot about the game cube. Why were two games released for the crappy N64 and not for the cube? Did they think the cube was gonna be another crappy console as well? I like the cube waaay more than the N64, that's fer sure! rolleyes

As for the new game for DS, we already have a thread for that, right? I'll see if I have anything to add about that there cuz, I have heard a thing or two about it. 3nodding

Hiiiiii everybodyyy! whee *showers cookies over everyone and dances* Oooh! Why was I posting again? Oh yush! eek You ish welcies Mr Kenshin! Oooh and well I used to get scared, but it was the bugs in them that gave me the eeeks! Oooh and well...about Circle of the Moon...I um....never played that Castlevania game because my friends told me it was a bit poo. eek After what you've said now I'm sure its as bad as they said and I'm glad I listened to them hehe! whee But I do see what you mean! Some of the Castlevania games have the most silly ideas ever! Maybe Circle Of the Moon was supposed to be a 'filler' while Konami tried to figure out whether to back the ps2 or gamecube! eek You never know! gonk I miss Sonia Belmont too, why can't there be a female Belmont that isn't erased from Castlavania history? It can't be because of her being female because of the new ds game...but...oooh maybe it is...I don't knowww! crying Konami are so mean sometimes! Ignoring the gamecube was criminal because it was so much more fun than the playstation...because it never broke down and had mario and zelda! Yaaaay! 4laugh But if they make a Castlevania game with good wii controls like smash bros and not give it a poopies storyline written by a demented aardvark then all will be well! then maybe we can all forgive konami for being mooses! whee We can all be happy and have a party with cake and lemmings hehe! 3nodding Could we do that Draculas Mistress? It would be fuuun! rofl

*grabs a falling cookie from cookie shower* Thanks Luxlui!! *munches cookie* I think that if they make good use of the controls, and have a good storyline, then the Wii game would be a success. Lets just hope they actually make it, unlike the Castlevania title for the Dreamcast (Castlevania Ressurection--Starring Sonia Belmont) that was created and then scrapped at the last minute! and yeah, Circle of the Moon is a tricky and mostly boring game. The card system is a bit cumbersome, and some cards are absolutely useless. Harmony of Dissonance makes better use of a magic system, the spell books are easier to use and much more powerful!

Yaaaaaaay Sooooooooma! *tackles* whee Cookies are fun! 3nodding Harmony is Dissonance is so great! crying I'm tempted to replay it again now because Justey-Juste is so cool! It's better than card because if you're no good at card games, like meeee, then they kinda suck. sad whee Hmmm but I hope they make a good wii game! Nintendo deserves a good Castlevania game for a home console for a change! crying 3nodding
