I stand by my statement that Fullmetal Alchemist has the most emo characters of any show.
Ed: Sad past, gets angry easily, not to mention the tight leather pants...
Roy: He once tried to shoot himself in the jaw. That at least counts as depressed.
Envy: Long stringy hair with an unnatural color, ridiculously pale, tight black shirt, somewhat prone to temper tantrums.
And many, many more!

You're just kind of pidgeonholing anyone who's "depressed" into the emo category.
