Fair enough. But no one can really make any requests until we get some sellers.

pokemonalexander can you affiliate with some body else guild I think this is a good idea. As of the moment, I don't have any idea on what kind of guild we should affiliate with. Maybe the larger guilds like "Why Not?"
Also, upon reading the first page of this thread, I read that you don't want to ban members who haven't posted anything at all. I hope you don't mind me asking, but why is that?
Edit: In regards to the locked threads, since you would not want them to be deleted and to prevent clutter in the main forum, I suggest that the empty sub-forum be turned to something like a reference sub-forum where all the locked threads will be placed. They don't get deleted, everyone else can still use them for reference, and the main forum is saved from clutter. Everyone wins. mrgreen

That's a really good idea. I'll move any locked threads into that forum, and use it as a 'trash' forum. Thanks. mrgreen
The reason why I don't delete people with no posts is... actually I don't know. I just don't really see a point. I don't want to have to check the list of members periodically to see who has zero posts and delete them. Plus I might accidentally delete new people, and let's face it, whether you have 0 posts or 200 posts, if you haven't posted in a few months it's just as bad. So I just leave them and focus more on people who don't follow rules.

Maybe you should post an activity thread for the active members to post in. Send out a guild announcement to let them know that those who will not post in the activity thread will get banned in two weeks time. Those who no longer wish to stay in the guild can just quit and not post in that thread. This guild will always remain inactive if the inactive members who don't post still stay.
I see potential in this guild to become one of the biggest ones here on Gaia, so I wouldn't want to see it slowly die just because the members are inactive.

I don't see how inactive members will make this guild more inactive. What difference does it make if theres 200 members where most are inactive or only four members, all of which actually post? Like for me it doesn't matter the amount of inactive members in a guild. I just care about activity in general. Which I have been trying to do in this guild, but it's very difficult.

In my opinion, the 200 inactive members now are the root of inactiveness in this guild. Just to answer your question, the difference between the two is the one with 200 members makes an inactive guild and the one with only 4 makes an active guild. Unless the inactive members are kicked out, it will be much more difficult to lift this guild up to activity. Another thing, it is quite discouraging for those who want to join if they see that the guild has over 200 members and less than 10, or even 5, post and are active considered as active.
Then again, that's just me. It's your guild anyway. Feel free to do whatever you wish.

I think it's just as discouraging to see a guild that could potentially EVENTUALLY be one of the most active guilds on gaia, but it only has four members. I would think that something isn't right there. I appreciate your opinion and I'm sorry if I came off rude or anything, I just don't think that is going to help much.

Nah, it's cool.
Though if it were someone else, I bet they'd be pissed off because of your manner of speech, which may appear to others as rude.
After this, I might not post as much. I'll be lurking around. With no one posting, I've nothing to reply to. xP

There won't be any activity if no one starts posting. So if everyone just sits back and waits for others to post, it will be a long time before this guild gets anywhere. With or without a bunch of members. And if people take the words I use as rude, well I don't know what to tell them. What I say is nothing to get pissed off about. I'm not getting mad, and I'm not name calling.

I didn't exactly say that you appear to be rude because you get mad or you call people names, because obviously you didn't do that. People have different perspectives and personalities. I have some friends who easily get pissed and take the words people say negatively, which explains why your speech might be like that to others. But let's not dwell on that too much.
I can't start posting if I have nothing to post. I don't have much questions and I mostly just check on the tutorials. As I said in my joining application, I won't be as active as you expect me to be because I'll only be lurking around most of the time.

Honestly I wasn't expecting you or anyone else to be that active lol. I can't please everyone, if people take what I say the wrong way then that's just how it is. I've had people to jump to conclusions like that and I'm sure it will happen again. It's not anything I worry about.

You weren't expecting anyone else to be that active? Now that's not right! If you don't, who will? If you actually want this guild to be active, being optimistic is almost a requirement.
I know you are not one to trust so easily, but I think having crew members would be a big help. You won't be recruiting and thinking of ideas to make the guild better alone. Though if you want, you don't have to give them crew status but they're gonna be sorta like moderators around the guild. I'm not sure if I'm being clear with that...
I feel like I've mentioned this earlier but just in case I haven't, you should send a guild announcement to everyone in the guild, reminding them of the guild's existence. Others may have forgotten that they are actually a member of this guild because of its inactivity.

I know I'm pessimistic, I need to fix that. if I did add a crew member, it would have to be someone active who I think I can trust. There's no one I could use now that I think would stick around and help. But maybe in the future. Is it possible to send guild announcements to all members with out doing manually? That's the only reason I've never done it is because I didn't think it was possible.

It's a new feature added in the guilds. Go to the Moderator Panel and click 'Send Guild Announcements' under Captain Controls. I checked it just now and it says the system is currently offline. But when it does, you can try sending one out. Oh and by the way, when you send one, it uses the money that the guild has. The cost depends on how many members you have in the guild.
Don't you have any friends in real life who are interested in Photoshop and have a Gaia account? Maybe you can make them crew...
