Proudly_Jewish just gathered many of the members of the Finnish Guild recently... 3nodding Jesterqueen ...and now someone probably comes telling me they live next door to me. Now that's a scary thought. Hopefully someone here won't tell me that, I would shocked... We have only few people near(1km range)... Hey, it's the second Idols competition in here now! You would be shocked how bad singers most of us are xp (my point of view)

Proudly_Jewish Lemmie I read somewhere that Finnish stemmed from a Turkic language-is this true or do I need more reliable sources? Actually, that's considered inaccurate by most modern linguists. At one point there was debate over whether Finnish (or maybe it was Hungarian, I don't remember sweatdrop I think it was Finnish... ) whether Finnish was related to Hungarian (part of the Uraliac language family, I think) or related to Turkish whee nowadays most linguists agree that it's related to Hungarian as opposed to Turkish Ok then. Thanks for putting me straight.

Proudly_Jewish does Finnish sound like any other language? ninja From what I hear, to some of those who don't know the language it sounds much like Italian, possibly due to the elongated vowels. And of course, to the Finnish ear Estonian has a strange familiarity to it, even when you can't quite decipher the actual meaning of the words.
