Spence eyed the cookies hungrily. Of course he loved his mother's homemade cookies as well, if not quite as much as Demy did.
Mrs. Sparks give the little boy a bright smile as he hobbled in. "Oh, dear! What happened?" She walked over to the boy, turning his chair and kneeling examine the scrapes.

"Just a little scrape..."
The boy continued to grin, not whining too much as Mrs. Sparks looked him over. It was kind of her, really! He just wanted one of those cookies isntead of being fussed over.
"I'll be fine!"

"Nonsense...." Mrs. Sparks returned to the counter. Putting the cookies on a plate she set it at the center of the table for the boys to enjoy and left to get some first aid supplies.
Cookies in reach, Spence quickly nabbed the largest one and began nomming away.

"Mmrph..."
The boy blinked as she walked away, but at least the cookies were here now! Reaching over, he nabbed the next biggest one and started nibbling on it.
"Mmmmm...."

Mrs. Sparks returned. Kneeling by the youth's chair, she began cleaning and bandaging the wounds while he enjoyed his cookie.
Spence ignored them, wagging his tail a bit as he chewed his own cookie.

The boy nibbled, hardly noticing as Mrs. Sparks cleaned up his scrapes. By the time he had finished the cookie she was finished as well. Blinking, he looked down at his cleaned up scrapes and back up to her.
"Thanks!"

"You're welcome!" Mrs Sparks beamed. "Oh...you got blood on your clothes! ...Why don't you change into some of Spencer's old things while I clean them?"
Spence, meanwhile, helped himself to another cookie and some milk.

He didn't want to trouble her, nor go digging through Spence's clothes if he didn't want him to.
"Though...can I have some milk?"
The boy eyed Spence for a moment before smiling back up at her.

"Of course! And it's no trouble, I'll find you something. I'm sure Spencer doesn't mind, do you honey?" She poured the youth a large glass of milk and set it on the table for him. Patting his head affectionately she went off to pull out some old clothes that might fit him.
Spence shook his head. As long as it wasn't one of his favorite shirts...which wouldn't fit the boy anyway, he didn't care.

Tail wagging, Demy snagged another cookie and nibbled on it. Cookies were always so much better with milk.

Mrs. Sparks returned a few moments later and set down a pair of old shorts and a shirt from Spencer's younger days. They might not be an exact fit, but they should do well enough.
Spence horked down the last of his cookie and drained the glass of milk, giving a pleased little burp.

Demy giggled at the other's burp, having to cover his nose to be sure milk didn't come out. Once he was sure he was safe he removed the paw and finished up his own cookie.

"Spencer! Mind your manners!" Mrs. Sparks chided softly.
"'Scuse me," the boy added with an air of annoyance. Waiting until his mother turned away, he made a face, mock imitating her words.

Spence grinned at the boy, quickly resuming a straight face as his mother looked their way. "Come on!" Hopping down from his chair, he ran off towards his room.
"Don't forget to change out of those clothes, Demy dear," Mrs Sparks reminded him.
