Todd returned the grin, all the more excited to eventually be able to play in gym class. He liked sports, but he was a bit small to actually play them with others. " I hope I get to take gym when I got to school." He paused, his mind trailing on the subject before gym class. " What's math? It hard?"

"I think so." Ignacio shrugged again. "But my dad's good at math. I just don't like numbers. I guess I can't see why I'll need more than counting or something. I dunno." Suddenly, he bent and picked up Todd, hitching the much smaller boy onto his hip and grinning whitely. "Hey, how's this view? Higher now."

Todd nodded," Daddy Elliot is good with numbers too. He helps Daddy Liam at work with....acc...counting!" He nodded, giving up on the word he could only remember part of. " Liam says its too many numbers to crunch and it makes his head hurt." He giggled at the thought, remembering that Liam had held his head and stuck is tongue out at him.
His thoughts were cut short as he felt himself being lifted up upon Iggy's hip, his arms automatically latching around the older boy's neck. He blinked a few times before grinning brightly. " Much better! Thankies! String easy to find when you taller?"

"Maybe. We can definitely move faster, that's for sure." Ignacio proved the point by picking up his pace. The little boy jarred a bit on his hip but he kept tight hold of him. It wouldn't do to let the kid get hurt! "But I bet there's something in the craft boxes. Or we can ask Evan."
Upon reaching the door, he double-checked his hold and then used his free hand to pull it open. A few more steps had brought them to a set of low shelves which housed various shallow plastic bins. Ignacio carefully lowered Todd again. "Wanna check the shelves on the bottom?" he asked.

Todd clung tightly to the older boy, smiling brightly at the new speed. He was certainly right about being able to move faster. But who was this Evan?
"Evan keeps strings on him?" He nodded in response to Iggy's question, kneeling down before searching the contents of the lower shelves. He would find that string or at least help Iggy look for it.

"Evan's the guy who takes care of you. Mr. Luck." Ignacio absently pointed in the direction of the caretaker. The slim young man was busily helping another small child with puzzle pieces. "He probably knows where everything is but we can try and find it first." He began tugging bins out and poking through them, returning them to their shelf before lifting out the next one.

Todd took a moment to look at the man in question, blindly sorting through the bin he was currently 'inspecting.' Oh so he did know Evan after all! He liked Evan, he was a very nice person.
The young boy meant to continue the conversation until his hand came upon the object that they were searching for, string! " Ah! Iggy lookit!" Todd pulled the string bit by bit out of the bin, finally hitting the end and holding it out to Iggy for inspection. "I found some!"

(GAH, I'm so sorry. I suck.)
Ignacio beamed. "Perfect!" Immediately, he crouched down to take the string. Then he toppled himself backwards to sit properly on the floor and bent his legs into the Indian style position that he usually favored. "Now we've gotta do some tying and stringing," he explained. He patted his lap. "C'mon and sit down. We'll get your jacket off and run it up your sleeve so you can pull on it. That oughta work, right?"

Todd seemed to dance in place before plopping down into Iggy's lap. He was so excited! He would get to wag his tail like a real fox could! He could hardly hold still, but he tried his best to do so. " I think so! I dunno why nots."

Laughing, Ignacio helped the younger boy wriggle out of his jacket and dropped it to the side. "Yeah, well, if it doesn't work, we'll figure something else out." He grinned whitely and picked up the string. "You'l be waggin' your tail before we send you home to your dad, okay?"
He picked up the end of Todd's tail and began busily tying on the string. "So what's your dad like?" he asked by way of conversation as he worked on the project.

Todd watched quietly, but the excitement was obvious on his face. He couldn't wait to show his dad's that he could wag his tail when they picked him up. Todd blinked a few times before grinning brightly at Iggy.
" I have two daddies! Daddy Liam is fun and plays games with me and stuff. Daddy Elliot, though, he's a party pooper. Daddy Liam says he worries too much." He nodded matter of factly. " How about your daddy? Whats he like?"

"He's cool." Ignacio beamed proudly as he ran the string up Todd's sleeve carefully. "He lets me do just about anything I wanna do. He lets me come here and volunteer and whatever. He's a tattooist."

"Tattooist? Wassat? Is it fun?" He liked hearing about exciting things that other parents did, his own parents just like to say that their jobs were boring and then change the subject. He didn't mind, but he was always awfully curious.

Ignacio considered the question, pausing. "Well... He draws on people for a living," he explained. He picked up the discarded jacket again and started to help Todd back into it after carefully pinning the string emerging from the sleeve. "And the drawings don't go away."

Todd wriggled carefully into his jacket, trying his best not to jump with excitement. " They don't go away? Is your daddy magic? When I draw on myself with markers they go away!"
