Fogstorm didn't follow; the lightning shooting through his veins rooted him to the branch, unable to move. The beautiful Featherdance wanted to be his mate? He gazed at the sky and let tears of joy fall. "Thank you," he whispered, but to who he didn't know.
He jumped down to the ground and raced back to camp, stopping only to fly higher than he ever had to snatch a bird from a tree.

Arriving at the camp entrance Featherdance noticed that she didn't have any prey! She spotted a small bird and leaped at it, she swiftly killed it then padded into camp. Placing the bird on the pile she walked away with a small feeling tingling her fur.

Fogstorm dropped his own bird on the pile and brushed his tail against Featherdance's side. Smiling at her, he dashed off up the cliff to the forest, making impossible leaps without realizing it, so happy he was.

Featherdance saw Fogstorm's grin, and hoped that this would last forever. Some other cats stared at her, big eyes followed her in excitement.

Fogstorm ignored the stares of other cats. Let them stare. Let them whisper. He and Featherdance were together, and he would be content if this lasted forever. The rest of his Clan didn't have to like it, only his beautiful mate had to. "What shall we do next, love?" he asked her.

" I don't know, I like things to happen spontaneously." Featherdance said with a wild grin. With birds flying high in the morning sky. Featherdance looked up and trotted away.

Fogstorm grinned. "Okay!" he meowed. "As long as I'm with you, I don't care what we do."
