Mia's eyes widened as Talia left. She quickly went after her, falling behind however.

Genji uses the shadows to quietly enter the library. Without the librarian spoting him, he enters the family archives and begins to search out his name. "H... I... J... K. Right here." He quickly flpped through the outline of his mothers family, trying to find the name of the one who took his family from this world.

Maryl emerged from a bright flash of light and found herself in the main hall of the Library. There were shelves stretching into the sky and a silent atmosphere that made her almost afraid to say anything. Her entry wasn't particularly loud but she noticed a few spectators who couldn't have possibly missed the light show.

A young man cloaked in the Library monitor's uniform paced up next to the child who had just entered in the flash of light. He was fairly surprised but figured protocol took over for this situation anyway. He knelt down and whispered, "Congratulations." As he stood up, he held out a hand and beckoned her to follow.

Maryl perked up after hearing that word from the monitor. She followed after cheerfully but still keeping quiet.

The monitor opened a door toward the back of the main hall and held it open for the new initiate. As soon as she entered, he did too and left the door to close quietly behind them.

Being distracted by the bright light that had almost revealed him, genji became suspicious of the monitor he had not noticed before. Suspecting he may learn someting useful, Genji puts down the record and sliped through the door before it closed.

Maryl glanced back nervously thinking she may have heard something just before the door shut. Rather than pointing it out, she kept it to herself, but glanced back once more to make sure. She clutched her wand a little more tensely beneath her cloak.

The library monitor looked down at the new initiate, detecting some sudden apprehensiveness from her. He patted her shoulder as they paced through the long back hall, "Processing isn't particularly difficult, there is nothing to worry about. Since you made it through the test so quickly, you will probably be a shoe in for a position on our staff."

Genji mentaly scolded himself for almost being spoted, and sensed the tention in the girl. Keeping to the darkest shadows, he tuned his ears in the monitors words, absorbing every ounce or information. At the sam time he readied a kuni in his hand in case a battle started.

Maryl looked back again nervously. She looked up at the monitor then back again. "Well, It's not that. I... think we're being followed." She didn't stop walking but still couldn't shake the feeling even though she wasn't entirely sure.

The monitor paused for a moment and sighed reaching a large double door set. "Well, if that is the case then I will proceed to call security. We have seers all over the place here, so don't worry about it." He placed a hand on the doorknob, "This is your new manager's office, so you will be speaking with him to get your contract set up and your identification. You'll probably begin tomorrow." The monitor took a deep breath and opened the door allowing the new initiate to step in.

Hearing enough, Genji covers his face with his mask, throws his kuni at the mentors feet with a smoke bomb attached. Without either of the two see his face, Genji smashes through the nearest window, fleeing in the direction of the land of water.

Maryl had already stepped into the office before hearing a bang. She looked back in surprise, pulled down her hat and raised her cloak in defense. Seeing as it was just smoke, she turned back to the rest of the office to wait for the manager to speak.

The monitor was met with shock as he saw something quickly strike the ground at his feet and explode. As the smoke rose, he covered his nose and mouth in his sleeve and slammed the door shut as soon as the child had entered.
A three other monitors in the area and a wizard gathered at the broken window in confusion. They looked out to the woods beyond but saw nothing suspicious.
