[Several Hours Later]
Inside the Fire, by Disturbed, could be heard from inside Sabre's bay, punctuated by the crisp stacato of the Dual-Quads firings pins as they hit dummy rounds. The weapon was now fully functional, it just wasn't plugged in. It sat silently now on the table, Sabre had left it there, and went to retrieve the finished dual-belted ammunition for it, he had enough for a full five seconds of fire. Picking up the belt, he returned to the weapon, which he then loaded onto a cart, and wheeled it out, switching off the music, and hitting the elevator.

Having completed the partial transfer from the Research Division, Tay began to set up a new, smaller lab. It was quite difficult to haul in some of the heavier items alone, but he managed it. He thought to himself, I'm glad I remembered you can't store a bag of holding in a portable hole...
He laid out some of his current projects on numerous tables. On one table, he placed Talismans with various writings on them; these were connected to various portals set up in other realms. To the far back of the room was a large Multi-Dimensional Portal, for exploratory or invasion purposes. Having been flung through time and space a few times, as well as having run into alternate versions of himself in the past, he knew that having a return portal would be necessary if he was ever to get back from any travels he would take in the future.
Finally, he set up one of his counterparts most prized possessions, the D.I.N. (Dimension Information Network). This was a computer that could monitor events in other realms. Tay wasn't as proficient with it as his other self Tajik was, so he had it set at Alert status.
"Sure, I'm not very good with wheeled vehicles, but I have other ways to get people to where they need to go," he said to nobody in particular.

After several hours of hard labour, Sabre's FoxQuad Tracked Assault Recovery Vehicle (TARV) was finished. He lifted the Dual-Quad Mark 2 Mini-Cannon into the gun deck, and fired the vehicle up, it's dual Micro-Jet engines roaring to life, and nearly pealing the paint off of Sabre's workbench. Running a quick diagnostic check, Sabre hopped into the Driver's cab, and shut the armored canopy, and suddenly, it was quiet. Backing it out of the bay carefully, he drove the vehicle to the bay.

let's see if this fits.
*puts on the armor to the chocobo and checks if it is tight or loose*
that will do for now.
*walks out with chocobo to main area*

The lift doors opened smoothly, and Sabre drove his completed FoxQuad back to his bay, getting out after turning it off, and closing his Bay doors. Something moved inside his trenchcoat, as Sabre laughed, reaching in one hand, and removing his Grunny, Ivan. This grunny however, was not green. He was tan, and had crimson and Gunmetal grey tiger stripes, and was obviously only partly tame. Right now he was placid, but, he wanted down. "Alright Ivan, I will let you down, just stay out of my newest vehicke, Ok?" The grunny stared at him for a moment, before making a feral Growl in answer. Sabre laughed, setting the mutant Grunny down smoothly, and got back to work. In mere seconds, the Grunny was gone, before returning with a bit of scrap wood that Sabre kept for him, which he began to gnaw on furiously, before bolting up Sabre's pant leg, then Trench coat, to rest on his shoulder, with his scrap. "Crazy a** Grunny..."

Sabre stood from his workbench slowly, he had been at his current task for some time. Quite pleased with the paintjob he had decided on, Sabre picked up a 5mil paintgun, and set to work with a thick desert tan. He laughed lightly when Ivan, his Grunny, bolted back down into his trenchcoat. He kept painting, as he listened to music, and enjoyed his day. After he had a thick tan basecoat, Sabre set down the paintgun, pulled the now pissed Grunny out of his trenchcoat, and walked out of his office, holding the Grunny in his right hand. He headed for the Lift, and level 5.

When the lift door opened again, Sabre wasted no time to rush his ill-gotten chemical's back to his bay, where he closed, and locked the doors. In just a short time, a tan Grunny would be seen running on the inside of the solid glass doors, wearing a custom-tailored gasmask. Sabre himself had donned one as well, as he set to work making a new toy, as the lab filled with various gasses.

Ivan quietly waited underneath the newest creation his master had made. He was used to Sabre building things, and he often got in trouble for chewing on small pieces, it wasn't his fault that they usually tasted pretty good. Moving foward slightly, though still in the shadow of the massive vehicle, the tan Grunny watched Sabre as he mixed chemical's/ Shortly however, Ivan became quite bored with the process's Sabre was working with, and began to scamper up the tracks of the vehicle, into the gunner's nest. Within a few minutes, he had located a black piece of thick tubing, it had a sugary taste to it, so, Ivan set to work gnawing on it. Suddenly, the tube split, spilling out a nasty tasting fluid, that was rather thick. The grunny coughed lightly, not sure of what he had found, he decided it was best to avoid the substance all together. He rapidly hid when Sabre turned around, obviously having heard Ivan cough. Once he returned to his work however, the Grunny returned to his fun, as he began to nibble on small black wires.

Tay tried testing one of his new dimensional talismans. To his surprise, he ended up back where he started. I wonder if this is how those people feel in that game Portal when they make an infinite loop, he thought.

Today, Tay began testing the Alert system of the D.I.N.
If intruders showed up and didn't show proper identification within a specified time, they would be forcefully teleported to a random dimension. For non-human intruders, it would simply tear them apart and scatter the pieces across multiple dimensions. What he didn't realize was that if the monster could regenerate from those pieces, perhaps he was instead spreading their infestation...

Having filed some of his research in the library, Tay returned to work on his dimensional theories. He noted the results of his group discussion on the three planes with some other astute researchers in the past week in his journal.

Alarms went off from the DIN, and Tay monitored a very peculiar situation in an offhand time and space dimension.
"So, he's even looking for that power, the one that they say wraiths control beyond death... Well, let him. I know of only one who has succeeded, and that one is the same one that has given us this network."

Having completed turning off the unattended gate, Tay returned to his lab. He was concerned about the security in that department, and made a note to send word along to his superiors. However, for now, he had to focus on his current research, which was other methods to dimension travel other than the primary gate.
