Polyphonic Twilight
I don't think we should judge Brendon for having done weed when he was younger. He was a kid, he felt alone, and that was the only thing that made him feel better. Plus, it's pretty normal for a teenager to try it out, or smoke because of peer pressure or whatever. I know tons & tons of kids who smoke weed, they're not bad people, they're just not always making the best choices.
Whether he smokes now or not is still kind of up in the air, though more & more often it seems like he does. That obviously sucks and I wish he wouldn't, for his own health and for us fans... But he is still young, he's had a crazy life, and maybe he just needs to get some things out of his system sweatdrop

As for what they believe in... just because they're atheists or non-religious, doesn't mean they don't believe in anything. Maybe they believe in love, friendship, music, fate... For some people all of that might be combined with a God of some sorts, and for other people it has nothing to do with God at all. I think you can have faith without it being religious faith.

Have you seen the recent picture of Jon on the tour bus with a bong next to him?
I think there are other ways to "get some things out of his system." stare

Believing in love, friendship, or music is a lot different to me than believing in God. I have nothing against them for it, I honestly don't. It just was disappointing to me reading that, and that's understandable. 3nodding No?

"I Constantly Thank God For Esteban."

"And we’re all too small to talk to God. Yes, we’re all too smart to talk to God."

"I Have Friends In Holy Spaces."

"I'd chime in with a 'Haven't you people ever heard of closing a Goddamn door?!'"

"Build God, Then We'll Talk."

"Tonight tenants range from: a lawyer and a virgin accessorizing with a rosary tucked inside her lingerie."

"Or was it God who chokes in these situations, running late? Oh, no, he called in."

"Every word gets you a step closer to hell."

"It sure as hell ain't normal, but we deal, we deal."

"Then think of what you did and how I hope to God he was worth it."

"Forgive our sins forged at the pulpit with forked tongues selling faux sermons."

"So gentlemen, if you're gonna preach, for God sakes preach with conviction!"

"Any practiced Catholic would cross themselves upon entering."

"I know it's mad, but if I go to hell would you come with me, or just leave?"

"Lying there with a halo in her hair she cried."

For what you did to me, and what I'll do to you,

Ribby, calm down.
I can't say anything about the ones from A Fever (though you know how sarcastic Ryan can be), but remember that the band wrote the ones from Pretty. Odd. as a whole. We're not sure about what religion Spencer and Jon are a part of.

I personally don't think you should be offended too much by this.

Most of the examples are just expressions, like: 'It sure as hell ain't normal'. And I also say 'God' or 'Jesus' a lot. Like:"Jesus, you're acting like a baby" (I use that one a lot xd ).

Some are just ways of making a song more poetical.

Some are ways of showing human nature.

I personally don't think they are insulting or something like that. I think Ryan/the band wouldn't do that anyway, because they're like, sweethearts xd .

We all have the rights to be religious or to be non-religious.

Just keep in mind why you love them 3nodding .

Gah.. Its a bong?
I learned what a bong was yesterday from watching the movie yesterday
"Harold and Kumar escape from Guantanamo Bay"!
The boys are getting their health hurt if they do that D;

Ugh, aren't they on their way to Amsterdam in that movie?

Amsterdam => drugs, bloody hell, once again gonk . I'm starting to think that foreign people think that we (Dutch people) are stoned all day long xd .

It seems to be a funny movie though xd .

Anyway: yup, it's a bong. Clearly not a common water pipe. And yes, it's very bad for your health. You inhale a large amount of smoke in a very short time. It's much worse for your health than just smoking a cigarette.

I also don't really understand why they have one in the tour bus. In Amsterdam, there are a lot of coffee shops with bongs and water pipes and they are most commonly used for social events, every once in a while. Not many people have those things at home xd .

Yeah I saw that.. and chose to ignore it domokun

It's understandable 3nodding And as long as you having nothing against them for it, than I have nothing against you being disappointed xp I can see where you're coming from.

It breaks my heart when I see, well technically pictures of the doing this kind of s**t to themselves. It just makes me want to smack them in the face for these kinds of decisions they make. I mean! They should think about if they're getting pictured, how it would affect their fan basis. Should I do it or Should I not do it? And I'm not judging Brendon, but reading that he used to do weed. It just makes me lose some kind of respect for him. (EVEN though I still love him!) And I agree with Lucky and Poly in what they said in the first page. I don't think that's it's mocking human nature, it just shows us how human nature is. And I have friends who are atheist. They don't believe in religious faith but they believe in faith, if that makes sense. And atleast Brendon could explain why he isn't religious. And I'm guessing the Catholic School can make you not be religious. I know I hated it, since I used to go to a Catholic School Even with my friend who's going to Gorman now, she hates it, since they have period times where they have to pray. And the teachers are very strict. Wait. I'm getting off topic here.Going back now. And I felt sorry for Brendon. But I was angry at the people who didn't want to socialize with him, I guess they didn't know what they were missing...

I was in Catholic School for pre-pre kindergarten, nursery, pre-k and then kindergarten, 1st grade-3rd grade. Then yeah. well half of 3rd grade. I hated it. We had to wear these tan and green uniforms and the teachers were. GAAHH! I don't know Philippines was weird. Almost everyone in my family went to Catholic School. My brother and I were the only ones not to finish school in a Catholic School, since all of my cousins finished school in Catholic School. And we all went to the same school. Imagine the teacher having a hard time with all of us and not to mention she always used to confuse our names. lol

I was born there, but my mom was born here. So yessh. But my mom chose to raise me there and then take me here. That's why I can speak Tagalog fluently.
