"Oh, I see. I didn't realize the island was so large. Guess to understand it's full size, I'll have to wait until I can see it from the air. Sounds like I should make sure I have plenty of water and a compass with me as well, just in case." She paused a moment, letting some sand run through her fingers.
"While it's beautiful and everything, and you have some special abilities being here, I don't know that I envy you this life. With you and the island being interdependent, it's difficult for you to have freedoms that some people take for granted. Would you still choose this, if given the option?"

"If I was given that option with my memories that I have now I would say yes. But if I was given the option without my memories... Then I'd probably say no." Ceres said leaned back a bit, but keeping enough of herself up that she wasn't nauseated.
"I have more freedom that most, but at the same time I have the least." Ceres said as she looked out toward the ocean. "In a way I am like the ocean... We can both travel to the furthest reaches, and even unknown places... However, we are bound." She smiled softly as she returned her gaze to Keeta.

Keeta nodded with understanding, leaning on her side, so she was facing Ceres. Her free hand found a shell as her fingers went through the sand around her.
"That makes sense. Makes you wonder though, how your life would have been different, or mine for that matter, if we were given the option to change something significant about them."

"Everything we do has an alternate choice... Life isn't straight forward. And, our choices aren't without complications as well as joys." Ceres said as she straightened up enough to rub her belly. "I regret nothing in this life... Although, not ever decision on my part has been for the best." She rested one of her hands on Keeta's knee. "Remember it isn't only age that brings wisdom, but our mistakes."

"I will have to agree with you there," Keeta said, smiling at Ceres' gesture.
"I've definitely learned a lot that way..." she trailed off, looking at the water, and sitting up again. After another moment, and some effort, she got to her feet and walked forward, so that her feet were in the surf.
"I think I'm gonna go for that dip now, unless you have a different idea. I don't want tot leave you up here by yourself."

"You go on ahead. You are here to relax and enjoy yourself." Ceres gestured towards the ocean. "I'm happy right where I am at." She smiled softly as the waves again hit the tips of her toes.
