Hm.A game subforum would be good, for stuff like 3 words story or click the egg above.RP would be nice.Announcement subforum doesn't seem to be needed much. The front page of the guild could be the announcement page. Click!

I don't think the games necessarily have to be dragcave related...and the help sub forum should be on the top >.> and maybe add a "guest services" sub forum where people can introduce themselves and ask questions...so maybe just put the help part there...

How about Member/Guest Services for the help, and teh games to be forum games. The randomness and moderation games are popular on the dragcave forums.

IMPORTANT WARNING!!!
I have found... that WITHOUT fail... anything transfered to "subforums" will inevitably die, whether slowly or quickly varies according to the stubborness of the members... ...
People just don't check subforums very much... ANYWHERE... in order to keep a guild running I have found there are a few key ingredients that MUST NOT be overlooked!!
One, is that every guild I have ever seen that transfered "General Chatter" to a subforum... died... usually quickly. The only reason my guild still runs is because I let people talk about whatever they want in the main forums. It keeps them checking the guild itself and once there they'll participate in other events as they progress.
Two, is that the same applies to Role-Plays. If you stick them in a sub-forum they will die... thoroughly, no matter how interesting the RP concept.
in my guild, I leave the chatter as normal topics, and put the RP's as stickies. then anything important I toss as announcement. ...
it works really well.
I would REALLY hate to see this guild die, but I will warn you as I've warned countless other guilds in the past, please don't try move the chatter from the main page, it is certain guild death... EVERY TIME!

Well, our current ROUGH budget is about 12.5k for five subforums.
I could easily pay it all myself, but I have a spending impulse a mile wide. -points to evolvin' critters-
If we all give about 200 gold... about 62 and a half people have to donate to the cause.
I understand what you're saying to a point lorde. However. The chatter is cluttering up the important threads. We NEED a spam forum, badly. Or at least only a few threads for chatter on the front page.
The cafe is chatter, so it should stay. If people -coughdragcoughwarriorcough- want to spam their little spammy hearts out, they can go there and not make a mess.
Make sense?

It always makes sense from a "neat" and organized point-of-view...
but in practice it never works... I'm really concerned for this guild, I'm really enjoying it here, but I can PROMISE that removing random, cluttery, chatter and spam threads from the main page is a death sentence.
move the "important" threads to announcements or stickies, or just bump-post them alot... It doesn't matter how you go about it, but PLEASE leave people the freedom to make whatever topics they want. I have watched it, and tested it, and I know that any other method just kills things. the invention of guild subforums killed more guilds with "Organized" intentions than I can possibly name.
In my guild I made a "retirement" subforum... where topics that are dead get moved to... (meaning no one has posted in said topic for 6-months or more.) That will usually keep the main page pretty clean.
If you guys DO decide to make subforums despite my warnings, just give advanced notice so I can set up a solid egg-clicking regime else-where... and I will certainly write a eulogy for this facinating guild.

Yes, sub forums would help alot, just so long it doesn't get overly strict, I've been in guilds with more then ten, and it makes me nervous every time I post a thread, lol

@Lorde - Pessimistic much?
I say try it out for a while, but if activity declines, then change it around so the main chatting part is the main forum, and the stickies, etc are in a subforum?

I have watched dozens of guilds make this mistake. I have warned many of them, because I realized very quickly the pattern of the death. And like I said, I've tested the theory already. The problem lies in the fact that when people check their messages, or guilds. they usually open the main page and take a glance to see if any of the topics have been updated, (little orange tabs) ... Subforums do not indicate when they have been recently posted in... and it's tedious to check each subforum for new posts... Especially for those guildies who have slower internet connections. Eventually they'll just get tired of it, and they'll stop trying! ... BUT... if there is chatter on the main page, they'll stick around to chat, and perhaps take a moment to investigate some RP's or MAYBE subforums if they get to it.
Pessimistic? Not usually actually, I'm often quite chipper, but it's horribly depressing to watch this guild repeating the mistakes of so many others. It's horrible to helplessly watch and know exactly what will come of the proposed changes... it all SOUNDS nice in theory.... but theory and practice rarely coincide. I made quite a thorough study of the guild scene when I was trying to start "JENOVA's Witnesses" and I tried to find what works and what doesn't. So I do know what I'm talking about, I looked into it extensively.
I would really, REALLY, hate to see this one do the same. sad I enjoy things here. But this guild is new and it's leaders untried, I would be sorely disappointed if it died. crying I'd miss this place.

I just donated again, picking the amount I had over the next 1,000. I think I had 17,881, so I donated 881. It made the guild account go to 11,111, and I didn't even do that on purpose. xd
Are the guild mods/admins able to see who has donated and how much? I'm curious as to how much I've donated in total. I've donated a few times, but I don't remember how much each time.
