Umm.
I am lovely_girl_rocks. I share no personal info so don't ask me for any, mainly because some of my life is a total mess and because there are to many pervs out there. I am not one of those people who goes on to chats that are supposed to be safe and yells all about personal info, as I said already. I am usually a stickler for correct englsh. I was pushed into martial arts by my family and enjoyed it although I hated being the only girl in my age group, there was just a lot of immature boys who seemed to be unable to stand still. Yeah, so that is probably all I will share unless you ask me the questions. Oh yes and I am usually kind but very sarcastic. I have no idea how my friends would describ me other then a good friend and not a back stabber.

Um wow , HI! ^.^ I know all of one person in here so far but I must say the ideals are pretty confidence building. I'm Zetao (Z, Zetty -> whatever you can think of is fione with me.) I live in Canada and am actually in school to become a nurse; so I could ^.^ You guessed it! Help ppl.

'Ello! I'm Kylie and I'm from England. I am 15 and I love writing(roleplaying), drawing, singing, acting, and voicing my ideas. I am a major supporter of the environment so you might not want to litter in front of me. I really hate when people think being sexist is being right. I also feel that some humans should be living in luxury while others get 25 cents for working a whole day out in the feild (and yes, that is true). The finally thing I really want to work to stop, is segregation against people who like the same gender. Yes, it is a sin. But it is mentioned in the category with obesity. Do we make laws against obese people, so that they can eat only a certain amount of food each day? No. So why do we make laws against same sex marriage? When I grow up, I want to be a novelist but I also want to protest against all the things I mentioned. Its our world, we have to take care of everyone and everything on the planet, no matter how different they are from us.

i suggest you start a topic under other motives and causes smartbrit101, all of those specific issues should go there so they can be discussed without taking over another topic plus the main goal of Mercilantes is to combat the social issues in society and get people to care about others and to eliminate this "all about me" attitude, all ideas are welcome for debate or just to state, but i don't want the clear purpose to be bogged down by specific political issues ok?

HIYAS I'm Haley or Rose, I love inspiring people, and i know a simple smile can do wonders if someone is having a bad day or even has had a bad life. I say"whether you're laughing with me, or at me, i still got you to smile again" biggrin .Helping others gives me a good feeling inside, especially when helping a child. I look forward to doing volunteer work at the children's hosipital this summer. When we get close to others, it should be like you want to do all you can for them, you go past your own limits and try new things just for that person that means so much to you heart One day the entire world should feel that way about each other..........then you know a new age of humanity has begun..........the mercilantes Rose_Punkette-chan xoROCK

And having said so I have a question thats probably better placed somewhere else. (But I thought I should say more than just ^)
So here it is. Do you think people do kind things to get something out of it?
I've heard people argue (A loong time ago in philosophy class) wink That maybe Mother Theresa was so kind and good because what she did to help others and the acknowledgemnt of it -> made her feel good about herself.
So are people nice because is some way it pays off for them? Promotes their own sense of righteousness or whatever? (lol I'm not saying it at all how I want to...)
But srsly just a question I'm not being rude or anything ^.^. (Well trying not to be anyways)

no organization can be completely selfless in all of its members, but if all it is is acknowledgment or a good feeling, what's wrong with getting something like that out of it if it helps someone and no one loses
its ok to have a motive as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else in the process, the hardest thing in the world is to do something without any personal reason and i will admit, i do have a motive for helping people, they make great friends because if you meet someone and help them through hard times, when it gets easier that's when you have fun

great, well so far the guild has been an honor system where there's no proof of accomplishing anything...yet, but if word is willing to be spread of a public guild where anyone with trouble can post, we will have actual jobs

hmmm...idk what to say, i'v never been one for introductions.... welll...im kagegetsuoni, its japanese, i wont translate unless asked to. i'v been helping others for....10 years, and im 17. er...i joined because i like to help people, its my passion. when i enter college i expect to go into psychology and help both troubled teens and work at a mental institution. its a pleasure to meet you all. i noticed a lot of people are trained in martial arts, thats cool, and if helping or protecting the people i care about ever gets to that point i am willing to lay my life down. ja'ne
