"That makes some sense, I guess." Hemi seemed disappointed though. "What with Orta having a tough time letting herself be close to anyone really and Xanul being half-Nobody." Add in that his cousin would be afraid Lune would hurt Orta somehow, even if Xanul knew he would likely not say anything on it to the girl. "Maybe there's something we could do to make sure when either of them realizes, neither runs away from it?" Baby blue eyes glimmered & Hemi giggled. "Of course Aurum won't let us keep her out where Xanul's concerned." After the witch-alchemist's penpal exchange with her cousin it was like Xanul's happiness was something Aurum felt she must see to personally. Not all the time of course -Aurum was far too sweet to infringe like that- but here & there, anytime she felt she was needed.

"I've been wondering about that." She frowned. "I don't think they fully understand about love...and Xanul would most likely say it's merely a friendship." Her son was really quite oblivious and... dense about his feelings.
Asking Aurum to help would be a good idea, yes. Xanul was fond of his cousins (Really, he was fond of his family) and perhaps Aurum could knock some sense into him. "Perhaps she could come up with some ideas?" Although Saix had accepted her into his life, that was through her getting hurt...and she would not want to see either of them in such a state.

Hemi grinned. "Can't say that's a Nobody trait, what with our family." Winking, her baby brother giggled. No... not understanding about love in oneself certainly seemed pretty paramount among those of Lupin stock. If only Hemi realized it in himself as well -though perhaps that was closer to being confronted than he knew. Then Hemi grew serious for a moment. "Love's a hard thing for anyone to fully understand sometimes. From all I've seen though... still nothing greater."
Another flip and Hemi was beaming, baby blues bright with warmth & joviality. "Maybe. Probably just best to let her loose on him though. 'Rum hasn't a conniving bone in her body... but she can be a bit of a romantic. I bet all we'd have to do is mention the possibility of Xanul liking someone and..." Laughter, warm & full. "Good chance Aurum would innocently & inadvertently take it from there." Wink.

She smiled. That seemed to be rather true...she herself had taken a while to realize she actually loved Saix, after he had saved her from the wolf attack. Of course, it was easier for her. Emotions weren't as confusing to her, after all. "That it is." She agreed softly.
Ayako laughed gently. She could easily imagine the scene Xanul could get caught in with Aurum once her niece knew of his feelings for Orta. "I'd like to see that. I wonder where Aurum is though."

Yeah... and their dad had not known his two best friends were in love with him, and Liliana had followed right in her beloved daddy's pawprints on that one. Only Remus had on some level dreamed of something like love, though he never expected it to actually happen.
And Hemi... Hemi thinking about it grinned a bit more seeing red and black fur and hearing the churrs and growls of a certain anti-social female. It would dawn on him soon enough.
"Aurum?" The chocolate male laughed, tossing the tails of his scarf. "That's easy. Almost as easy to locate as Lil. She's either in their room, in the potions room, in the room they use to practice alchemy, or over at the Place visiting either Endless or that cute kid Josh Wade set her on that date with." Baby blue eyes were dancing with mirth at that. He had not met him yet himself, but from the way Aurum talked about him, Hemi was sure Josh was a great guy. Good friend for his sweet hearted niece. "You know... since she's obviously not here."
Here of course being the library: a natural place to chance upon almost any of the Lupin line.

She smiled. "True." Many of their family usually resided in the library, and many of her kids had taken to it. It was like...a family room of sorts.
"Aaah, Josh. Xanul introduced me to him once." She nodded. She remembered meeting the kitsusagi when he was rather lost and confused about the whole, as he put it "furry body" and "magic thing". "It's good to know they're getting along."

"Really? That's cool. I've not yet, but I'm all for 'Rum having a friend to hang out with and stuff. Xanul knows him too? Even better." Hemi grinned, losing a bit of protective uncle worry that he had not realized he had been carrying. Of the cousins, Xanul & Aurum were pretty close. So if Xanul introduced Josh to his mother... well it spoke well for the space marshal.
"So... want to go look for her now? We can check the Place last, out of courtesy if nothing else." Head-butting Ayako's shoulder he gave a goofy wink.
((and so I know where Aurum will be if they go looking for her... *randomizes* ^_^ *so doesn't feel like choosing*))

"He's a nice boy. Just a bit confused on being in a new world and body." Josh needed a friend other than Xanul; that boy abused his portal powers sometimes to get around, always zipping here and there.
"Alright." She laughed, nuzzling her brother. "Lead the way." She hadn't been in any of the other rooms in a very long time. The last time she had been here, she had brought her children to visit the library. And now, they were already all grown up.

Hemi nuzzled his sister back with a chuckle before rolling himself to his paws. "A'right then! Let's try their room first. I'm pretty sure I saw Lil & Edu out for the day, so it should be safe." He gave a wink then, before arching his brow meaningfully with a twinkle in his blue eyes. Oh yeah... it was not a good idea to walk in on Edward & Liliana when they were sharing *cough* quality time together.
Besides... if they were -um- busy, Aurum would not be in the room anyway.
Padding over to the door Hemi opened it and held it open for Ayako, waiting for her to leave the library before he would shut the door behind them.

Ayako chuckled. She herself would not like to intrude in her sister's and Edward's time together. It was different from how Saix and her spent their time she was sure.
She smiled at her brother before padding out of the door. "So how's Dad and Mom doing?" She hadn't seen Nari in a while, and Ayako rather missed her.

Hemi actually blushed, looking almost guiltily aside as he shut the door. "ah... well see... they're often busy too you know. When Dad's not checking in here of course." Their parents were very loving... and it seemed all it took as for Nari to bite Remus' ear just a certain way for the wizard to react. Then Hemi knew it was time to get out of their and let them have time alone. "Sometimes I swear somehow Mum's gonna see to it that we have siblings younger than your grandkits."
He was joking now -lighthearted and easy. Yet on some level, the healer wizard was not sure how much he was really joking. Grinning again now he knocked on the now shut magical door, leaning his ear against it to be rewarded with the sound of a drowsy voice telling him to come in.
Inside the room Aurum had fallen asleep with her head upon a book while facing the carved frame holding images of her parents all along it's borders. The large picture inside was changed at the moment to depict the entire Elric family, complete with Edward's brother Alphonse. It was not a snapshot, but a painting from memory done by one of the Relms. It was so realistic that looking upon it one would swear those inside were alive or about to spring to life.
A single ear lifted at the knock, now noticing the absent warmth of her parents. oh no... she had fallen asleep on her book again! Wait... that was a knock. "Come in?"
Chuckling softly, Hemi opened the door and held it for Ayako as he stuck his smiling face inside. "Hey 'Rum! Just who we were hoping to find!" His grin broadened seeing the look of blank confusion in Aurum's half opened, sleepy green eyes.

She laughed. "Maybe." It was a possibility after all, seeing how close their parents both were.
"Morning Aurum." Her aunt teased, padding into the room, giving her brother a smile as he held the door. "How have you been? Seen Xanul lately?" They would have to bring up her son sooner or later of course. He was the reason they both came to find her.

Aurum blinked her green eyes sleepily as the door opened, and blinked again as the voices registered. Watching his tiny niece made Hemi grin broader. "Uncle Hemi... Aunt Ayako?" Although seeing her aunt in general was not a surprise, her entering this room Aurum was sure was a first. "Hm... wha? Xanul?" Concern made the small femme scramble to to paws. Or at least... attempt to scramble. She was on soft bedding afterall. Her book slid unceremoniously off the bed as Aurum moved on the shifting bedding. Her uncle chuckled warmly. "He's not missing again, if that's what you're worried about 'Rum."
That clearly was what was troubling the little alchemist-witch for she immediately calmed. "Then why ask like that?" Most of the way. She still continued to scramble off the bedding though at a more relaxed pace before spreading her wings and hopping down so she could nuzzle her aunt & uncle properly. "I've been good. How've you been Aunt Ayako? How're your grandkits? And my cousins... Xanul and the others."
She was still sleepy, but Aurum could catch on that something was up. Of her cousins... Xanul was very close to Aunt Ayako. Something was up... but what?

"He has no reason to go missing anyway." Granted, her son was usually hard to find, but he did drop in every once in a while for a cheery hello and to see how everyone was doing.
"They're all fine." Ayako assured her. "The only thing that isn't is Xanul's feelings. He's very hesitant. And unsure." She wondered if Xanul met other females, he would understand. Or was it that Orta was one of the only females he was close with that he was acting this way? Her son was rather hard to figure out even though he was so naive...so open.

Hemi nearly choked trying to hold back a snicker. 'Hesitant'? isn't that a bit of an understatement? Of course he did not voice his thoughts, trying to refrain from laughing while watching his niece's reactions.
Her relief that Xanul would not be running away was being taken over by confusion & curiosity. Distracted briefly by a sharp glance at her uncle for the funny sound he made in trying not to laugh. "He's half-Nobody... shouldn't he be a little hesitant & unsure about his feelings?" The way Aurum figured, an ways it was lucky her cousin had feelings. She did not understand why her aunt seemed concerned about this. Now she was thoughtful for a different reason. "... is this general or specific, Aunt Ayako?"
