Thank GOD! somebody other than me thinks Jeff Garcia deserves the cover of madden! I tell ppl this all th etime, and they usually shoot it down with Garcia is gay (but all th eppl i tell this to are bitter browns fans lol)

and Garcia isnt white, hes mexican lol. Bu ti know what you mean.

Well I think that Favre/Manning/Brady deserve to be on Madden's cover more than Jeff Garcia, but he isn't too far behind. Anyways, many big stars (like LaDanian Tomlinson) turn down being on the cover.

wow LT i an idoit, i guess hes just spooked lol.

Now its is debateable weather or not Manning and Brady deserve it more. I mean they are better than garcia, but look at how Garcia had to get to then NFL, through the CFl, and how he cameback after leaving san fran with a great short stint in Philly, and now in Tampa (hopefull for the next 5 years untill hes done)

It's easier to picture Garcia on the cover with a 49ers uniform, but not while playing on the Eagles or Bucs. Brady and Manning are in a league of their own, and have much more success, thus are much more deserving.

Anyways, yea, Tomlinson turned down being on the Madden 08 cover, while Vince Young took his place. I guess that the "curse" did sway his consideration.

Well i see Garcia having an even better year comming up. its a contract year for him, he wants big money (he deserves it too, hes only getting like 1.8 mill this year.) he will make the pro bowl again, and really is the # 2 QB in the NFC now behind romo. I think Jeff Garcia should be on th ecover of madden, espically i fthe bucs win the superbowl, which i think they will do in th enext 5 years. 9and no i'm not just saying that because i'm a bucs fan i mean look every year they get great talent, either from the draft or free agency.)

Well th ecurse still hurt LT, i mean the chargers started off bad, and LT got hurt in the AFC Title game, and didnt go to the superbowl.

I'm gonna start a petition called "Garcia for Madden Cover 2010! lol

behind ROMO?! I think you're forgetting a certain someone from the Saints who I believe is top 3 in the league, sir Drew Brees.

Drew Brees an the Saints as a whole are overrated, espically Reggie Bush, who hasent done s**t since being drafted. If Drew brees was so good, he would have made the pro bowl. The top 3 QB's in the NFC are Tony Romo Jeff Garcia, and Mat Hasselbeck.

Wrong. Romo's team is stacked, Drew Brees, well, his team, not so much. By the way, Drew Brees was second in the league in passing yards last season, made the probowl the year before, and the only notable receiver he's had is Colston. Joe Horn's career was spiraling downward in his last year with the Saints so he doesn't count. His line really isn't that good, he has to release the ball as quickly as possible or he'll be on his a**. And don't bring up the interceptions, you'd throw a lot of interceptions too when your line is less than stellar. Romo's line is stacked, he has Owens, Crayton, Glenn, and Witten. Yet, he gets shut down by the Giants' young and unseasoned d-backs. As for Garcia, he is great, but not better than Brees.

And you had Jeff Faine at C which made up for some of what your line lacked. Now hes ours =)

I agree about Romo, but he is pretty good.

That's because Eli really isn't yet, but he's getting there. Besides, Garcia was not voted in, he replaced Favre who couldn't be there, and one year doesn't prove s**t in this league.

Let's drop the talk of over-average QBs making the cover of the next Madden. Have you forgotten Peyton Manning and Tom Brady? I'll add Garrard, Hasselbeck, or Roethlisberger to the list of "solid" QBs. Also, think about other players who could be on the next cover. Hester, Cromartie, Adrian Peterson, Moss, T.O., Haynesworth, Polimalu, Strahan, Fitzgerald, Tomlinson ( rejected '08 ), Steven Jackson, ...there's too many to name. But long story short, the next QB should either be Brady or Manning.

Anyways, Madden cover athletes are about excitement, not success. That's why Vick and Young were on the cover, before Brady or Manning were even considered.

Umm...why? A stellar and classy rookie, with the best athleticism of any current RB. He will break many more records to come. Hadn't it been for his injury, he may have even reached 2000 yards last season on the ground.

let me correct you if you dont mind. AP would have gotten 2000 if he had not been hurt. and probly would have broken the single season record if they did not try to split with chester taylor at the start of the season. if this guy plays for at least 13 years he will break emmit smith or tomlinsons (maybe) carer rushing record

Many experts have said that Peterson is very prone to injury, with his aggressive style of running. Yet, I think if there were any player to reverse the Madden cover "curse," it would be Adrian Peterson. He has had such a sensational rookie season, and is set to break many marks.
