Kyaaaa!!! OMG!!!! heart I'm like ecstatic!!!!
*** Duuude, this episode, was sooo major Zuko and Sokka bonding and getting-to-know-each-other-better!!! And, I'm just like, amazed! I don't even know where to start!! For one thing, man, Suki can kick a**!!! xd And, I seriously got new respect for Mai, and it just gave me a whole new look at Mai. The way she stood up against Azula? PURE WIN. And that just totally inspired Ty Lee to rebel against Azula as well. Haha, it amuses me when Azula gets pissed off, but at the same time, it scares me.... And that one line where Mai says "I love Zuko more than I fear you", is just, awe inspiring. What Zuko said to Mai in the cell really went into her and stayed in her mind. I just... have a new respect for her. I cannot say that enough. ^^ Sure, she's definitely moved up on the character importance radar of mine, but not anything drastically. ^^ And the few scenes that involved Katara, Aang, Toph and etc. were amusing. Especially Toph's persistence for meat, even though that spot is usually reserved for Sokka. xd Oh, and by the way, I really wanted to know what the rest of Zuko letter said... It's all been a mystery to us for the past few eppies... Or well, at least for me. ^^ And the awkward conversation between Zuko and Sokka while flying to the prison? Priceless. "My first girlfriend turned into the moon." "That's rough buddy." I LOVED that. I don't know why, but I just did. Lol. But what made me smile even more was the fact that Zuko called Sokka "buddy." It means that they're on friend-terms! W00t! ***

my thoughts:
okay, as badly as i don't want to admit this, i think the series will end up with maiko.... mostly because its a kids show, and a character preforming such sacrifice like that warrants her ending up with a good ending. and the only ending i can see is maiko. sad
however, several zutarian things i can interpret from this.
1. sokka was uber obsessed with getting suki and hakoda out, but zuko didn't seem concerned about mai. obviously he would know what a betrayal to azula would create, and he didn't bat an eye at rescuing her. he didn't even seem remorseful.
2. zuko seemed proud that mai could defend herself (back to the cell scene). so obviously he likes girls that can fight.
3. zuko and sokka are now getting along, and he helped rescue hakoda. major brownie points there plus approval of dad and brother.
ahhaha, i have to lol at mai saying "the jerk that dumped me." and her admitting to azula that she was rescuing zuko.... because she could have easily lied and said she was rescuing her uncle.
was it me? or did azula's fighting seem a bit off? it wasn't a powerful battle as i thought it would be. plus she didn't taunt zuko, which i was waiting for.
and that new guy?! why why why are they adding more characters to the group!!!!!???? gah.
and now the wait begins for july.... confused

(Or however you spell his name) The least they could have done was brought him out of the Boiling Rock. And who knows? Maybe Chit-Sang will leave soon enough? ***

On the Southern Raider disscussion. Would you rather have it open to Hakoda tell the Gaang about how the raiders came to the south pole everynow and then. Or would you have it opening to young Katara and Sokka playing in the snow and then the Fire Nation comes and we see their mom come out from one of the tents as she is wearing Katara's necklace.

Ivy-kun Lol, I didn't mean for my vision of the episode to make it sad... crying Well, if this episode is supposed to be a big tear jerker, then, it should be a big tear jerker, no matter what happens. That's part of life. But yeah, I love that song. It's so sad. *cries* *hums it softly* If Zuko starts to sing this song when everyone is sad, I think that would be a really heartfelt moment, y'know?

I must be the only person who isn't flipping out over the possible rezzing of Maiko :/
As far as I'm concerned, just because she loves him, doesn't mean he loves her.
Aang<3Katara, anyone?

Now, here, we all assume he's gonna say something sappy about Mai.
But what happens?
Zuko:Azula is herr, that must mean she's gotz a balloon! : DDDD
That tells me he's not feeling guilt, because she forgave him by saving him from becoming a deep fried shrip. (Although I'm sure Zuko would look adorable as a shrimp :3 )
And besides, we most likely won't see her again until after the war is over.
Azula will ensure that.
And besides, Sokka and Zuko would make such great Brother-in-Laws!

I apologize if they seem spaztic and don't make sense.
Highlight to read:
First thing I see in this = Zuko making tea and lame tea jokes. WIN! 8D
And K?atara teased him about it. MORE WIN!
The Sokka Zuko in this is awesome. Seriously. FUN TIMES! And awkward moments.
Sokka: Fine. I'm gonna rescue my dad. You happy now?
Zuko: I'm never happy.
xD HOW DO YOU NOT LOVE THAT?!
Also, honour talk. Again. xD Does everyone get a chance at it in this series?
And the talk about Mai 'the gloomy girl who sighs a lot' - totally saw that coming. Or at least really wanted it. The rest of the girlfriend talk was pretty interesting/amusing. xD
They look like twins in the armour, almost. Seriously. I couldn't tell them apart. =o And Zuko was just adorable when he was making excuses to wear his helmet. <3 Same goes for him imitating Uncle.
Zuko's training instructions = highly amusing. xD Why do I find something so simple so hilarious?

THE ARRESTING! IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW! And WTF?! Mai's uncle? Didn't see that comin'.

WHY DOES THIS GIVE ME DIRTY THOUGHT?! *cleanses mind*
Zuko/Suki meeting was highly amusing. xD 'You kinda burned down my village'. I've been dying for that. Seriously.
Lol. Zuko fighting the other prisoner and getting corrected on his grammar. xD My inner grammar freak had a gigglefit. Also, the fighting in that scene was awesome.
Also, pirates. xD I immediatelty thought of Zutara at the mention of priates.
HAKODA!! 8D So glad Sokka gets to see him again. And that Zuko gets to be introduced to the Katara's father. ;D
Can I just say that Hakoda is made of awesome and I loved seeing him trip the warden? Srsly. That was funny.
And Sokka/Hakoda runion/confrontation!!! Now I know where Katara gets her strong spirit from!
The little Zuko chat made me squee. =D Sokka's nervous little laugh when they were talking about 'finding two watertribe genuises' was adorable. <3 *huggles*
Sokka 'beating up' Zuko was hilarious. xD Those two are so awesome together.
And I totally saw the Maiko confrontation going this way. Zuko trying to explain his actions, and Mai completely misunderstanding. =D So much for getting back together.
Suki training in her cell was made of awesome. I was wondering who that was during the previews!!
Hehe. Prison riot = win. I don't know why I thought that was so awesome. And the use of the word 'comandeering' made me think of Zuko from Chong Sheng for some reason. xD
The prison guy saying someone else was the imposter earned him massive love on my part. <3 I was worried he would actually rat out Sokka and screw everything up. But he didn't, so it's awesome. =D
Also, ZOMG WTF AZULA?! Yeah. That was my reaction to seeing her. That and joy that TY LEE IS THERE TOO!! That girl has been totally ignored this season, and it upsets me. D: AND NOW SHE"S GONNA BE IN JAIL?? WTF is up with that?
Hakoda starting a riot was pretty awesome, too. The sensitive prisoner amused me. xD So did the guy actually starting the riot. xD Awesomeness of win.
YAY FOR MAI GETTING LOCKED IN JAIL! Again, so much for undying love. I'm pretty sure if your ex-boyfriend locked you in a prison cell shortly after leaving you wit nothing but a letter, you wouldn't go back to him. If you're smart, anyway.
SUKI!! I OFFICIALLY LOVE YOU!! That scene were she did the crazy acrobatic ninja s**t? Awesome! <3<3<3<3
... God, now I feel like a noob. xD Oh well, spazzing fangirls can be excused from such accusations, right?
Zuko sacrificing his own safety to make sure the others were okay earned him much, much love from me. Not that he doesn't get enough of that already, but whatever. Plus, seeing Sokka save him was awesome.
Azula and Ty Lee ninja-ing up to the gondala was pretty freaking awesome, too. God, this episode was just filled with great action.
Sokka/Zuko tag team FTW! Suki Vs. Ty Lee FTW!
Lol. Azula Rocketshps away. xD
I do like that Mai saved them, though. I mean, I still don't think there's much chance of her and Zuko's relationship being salvaged, but that doesn't mean she would let him die, right? Plus, she's in jail now.
Then again, I might just be in denial. XD
Anyway, it was one of the few moments I considered Mai to be awesome.
Also, Ty Lee attacking Azula to protect Mai? Win. =D I'm thinking that's why she snaps.
Lol firendhsip-and-fatherhood meat. xD I know it was supposed to be a sappy moment, but I laughed at that line.
Toph, once again, won the entire episode. With one line. xD

Nu-uh Zuko would be a perfect subject as an south pole penguin. And yeah, the way Maiko is now, it did remind me alot of the one-sided Katara-Aang realtionship.
They do, when Zuko was yelling that Sokka didn't think his plan through, they did resemble brother-in-laws.

Zuko: But why can't I marry your sister?!
Sokka: Because I said no!!
Zuko: I can take care of her more then that short little bald monk!

When Zuko was looking back, I totally dreaded him saying something sappy about Mai. OR going back to rescue her. D: But then he didn't, and all was merry. C=

And I toally agree on the brother-in-laws thing. Those two are awesome as friends, so they'd be even awesomer as family.
