I agree with The Saint Maximilian that Jesus was a great person in his time. It really is a shame how people interpret the Bible, and the message of Jesus. I'm all for peace. I'm all for love thy neighbor and all that good stuff. I may be pagan, but I understand a good idea even if it is from someone else's religion.
I have no problem with Jesus. It's just some of the people who worship him that bother me. Religion shouldn't be used for personal or political gain.

The Saint Maximilian
Zei-chan
The Saint Maximilian
This man, though changed through history by writers, had that one message and that message was to love and love those that you call your enemy. He left behind a teaching of peace. He sacrificed his body because of that teaching, if he's not a hero, then what is? He's an amazing person and someone that was misunderstood, now today people use him to cause fear and to fill their greedy pockets. Disgusting by it's own right.

Wow. You're awesome.
I'm not Christian, but I agree with his message.
It's sad that the message is ignored by so many people.

It's how things are, you tell a tale and it spreads but it changes. He never came with a religion for he was already a Jew, also his message was pure and good. People just changed it around to put fear into peoples hearts and to take advantage of others, for example: The Crusades, The recent wars where people are sacrificing themselves to take away thousands of lives. Humanity will always be in eternal limbo but that doesn't change the fact that doing the right thing can slow down the destruction of this world.

Um...not to be realistic but in the Crusades they didn't sacrifice themselves, they did what Pope Urban told them to dosince he wanted land and power.

As a person I respect who Jesus was, people like himself and the Buddha are few and far between but they are my role models when it comes to morality.

But I hope to see no more threads claiming I'm a selfish b*****d and going to hell for not being christian. xd

I am an agnostic. I was raised in the Christian Religion. But to me relgion is a label. Like many other labels people place on others.
To dres in black and look like your depressed all the time, you are labeled gothic or emo. both are labels people have placed on others.
handicap is another label placed on people. not all handicaps can be seen.
but once someone labels you or you label another person you become a part of society I disagree with. I label myself as agnostic for the simple fact that no one has proved or disproved that god exists. also no has proved or disproved heaven or hell exists or not. so lets just continue to use labels and define ourselves as labeled individuals. because without labels I guess people would not exist. and society would have nothing to do or talk about. religion, god or gods, faith, beliefs, heaven, hell, wiccan, gothic, emo, and any other words that fit this catergory are labels.
to me I am a person that believes we are put on this earth to live for a reason. the reason is still unknown. think about all the labels people have used to describe you and jot them down on paper. and then look at them and think about each of them and define yourself how each "label" fits or doesn't fit who you really are.

The differences between religion and faith

Religion and faith are often viewed as the same. The two concepts are not the same. Many people have faith, but do not believe in religion. Religion is man made whereas faith is a spiritual concept. Religion has an institutionalized background, a conformity of a system of attitudes, beliefs and practices. The word faith can be used in describing the type of religion we associate. Often this religion is one of like minds, and written doctrine.

Faith on the other hand is the actual belief and trust and loyalty to God, the creator of the universe. In other words when the carpet that your standing on is ripped out from under your feet you know, and trust that the lord God, creator of all still loves you, and will protect you. That's the biggest difference between religion and faith. Religion with its written doctrine will inform you what you are to believe. Faith is an actual deep knowing that you trust in your own belief in God.

There are many paths of religion, but there is only one faith, and that faith is in the belief that God is in control of all of life. The two can compliment each other, but are not the same. Faith is the belief that everything will work out, and religion is the organizational, institute for practicing your faith.

um, pardon me for asking but how is this supposed to be related to spells?

Beliefs.
I agree with Mogar_The_Destroyer. I often get called down a lot when it comes to religion. I think that if people want to belive in something, they can go right ahead, so long as they do not critised others for their beliefs.
