Asami looked at the water, noticing the green moss on some fo the rocks at the bottom. "Okay!" Her legs picked up their pace, making sure she got ahead of the other filly. This wasn't as fun as jumping in the mud or play fighting, but it was good enough.
((I changed her personality a little. ^.^;; ))

In her hurry Teppy was splashing and spraying water all over the place. She threw her head back and laughed as the wind whipped back her wet mane. This was fun!
Suddenly Teppy pushed off hard from the rocks with her back legs, hoping to launch herself forward and gain on Asami. But the moss was slipperly, and she ended up doing a clumsy faceplant into the stream. She snorted and spit out water, blinking her eyes a lot. "H-hey, wait for me!" She called, scrambling back up to catch up to Asami.

Asami's pace slowed a little as the other filly face planted. When she called out for Asami to slow down, her run became a quick trot.
"Well come on slow poke!" She yelled out, flicking her soaked tail behind her. Luckily, she hadn't fallen on the moss yet. Her blue eyes looked towards the tricolored filly as she continued to trot forwards. Asami's eyes then looked down at the water to see how dirty she was. Momma wouldn't be too happy, but Asami didn't care too much at this point.

"I'm not a slow poke!" A determined Teppy put as much energy into running as possible just to catch up. Her legs ached with the effort, and she looked down. The stream and the bank was becoming less and less defined and the ground appeared to be covered in soft, soaked plants. Though she didn't know what it was called, the ground was turning marsh-like.
"Eww, what is this?" she asked Asami, her hoofs squishing in the mud. The air was more humid here, and she could smell rotting vegetation. Still, she kept on after her friend.

Asami watched the other filly catch up slowly. Her legs only moved slower and slower. "Uh-huh!" She yelled out when the other denied her name calling. Of course, Asami was used to having to run with her brothers who had a little more muscle than fillies usually had. The tan filly let her eyes look down at the water as well.
Asami wasn't too sure what this stuff was, but she liked the feeling of the mud. "Its... um... I don't remember what its called." She said, lying a little. Asami liked to act as though she knew just about everything. It made her feel superior to her siblings and just about everyone she ran into.

Teppy tried slowing down and using her filly strength to get through the muck instead. It worked, and she began to catch up to the faster filly. She wasn't used to such strenuous exercise, and it was beginning to show.
"Ugh, it's hard to walk," she complained, the earth sucking at her hooves every time she took a step. Teppy stood still for a moment just to find that she sunk a little deeper into the mud. "Can you imagine falling down in this stuff?"

Asami's tan ears flicked back towards the other filly as she continued to complain. Complaining was a tad annoying, but Asami kept her mouth shut for a while. Her brown and orange tail flicked slightly, sending mud and gunk flying.
"Its not that bad." The little filly said, slowing her pace a little more so the other could catch up. Were all other fillies like this? If so, Asami kinda liked colts better. Of course, she lived with brothers so she was used to being around colts rather than fillies. Her head shook at the thought of her brothers then she looked back at the other filly then at the muck under them. "Hm... It'd be kinda fun. I mean, getting dirty and stuff... not getting stuck."

Teppy caught up to Asami, stepping on the plants poking out of the mud to try and avoid sinking a little. She looked around at the place while she walked. The mud seemed neverending, but the area was surrounded by trees enough. If it had been any more open, Teppy's agoraphobia would have kicked in and made her a shivering, cowering mess.
"I guess so," she replied, standing a little bit away from Asami to avoid flinging gunk at her. Teppy could feel the mud clinging to her legs, and she was still wet from their earlier romp in the river. Then she giggled, shaking her dripping mane from her face. "We're so dirty it wouldn't make a difference."

The filly stomped one hoof into the mud just for the fun of getting a little more dirty. She wondered slightly what her mother would say about this, but then the thought left her mind. Most likely just tell Asami to be a little less dirty when she came home from playing, but the filly knew that would never happen.
As she trudged along, her sky blue eyes scanned the area for a moment to see if anything interesting was out and about at this time of day. "The dirtier the better, right?" She asked Teppy after a moment. Her orange and brown tail flicked behind her slightly, sending mud flying in the direction she flicked it in.

"I guess it's fun to get dirty sometimes..." Temperance admitted, thinking about all the effort everyone seemed to put into their appearance. She preferred to be clean, but it wouldn't hurt being this dirty, right?
With a clumsy step Teppy slipped off one of the plants. Her foot was sucked in to a particularly deep patch of mud with an audible slurp. She gasped as it swallowed it up to the joint. "Eww," she giggled and tried to walk away, but her hoof was quite stuck. Then Teppy gave a great heave and jerked her leg free, sending a great deal of muck in Asami's direction as she did so.
"Oops!"
