Paroparo found everything about the Egyptians interesting, from the location, the weather, clothes, heirchy everything! He noticed however and found it also very cute how Cary's eyes widened as they looked over the jewels and other items most of the kings were burried with.

"They do. Though I think I would I would burn too easily under that hot desert sun." Paro chuckeled, he had always dreamed of traveling but he was guessing that ..the museum may be the only way he was able to 'travel'.

"Do you ever want to travel?" He asked wondering if the half dragon ever had that urge.. though he tucked the information away about the shinies a little smile on his face as he looked up to Cary's happily still holding his hand.

He looked over at Paroparo, then down to his hand to lift it up and gave a nod in agreement. The Fae did seem to have very fair skin, it was something to keep in mind when they were planning future outings, that Paro's skin and the sun may not get along very well.

He lowered his hand back down, hoping that Paroparo didn't think he was starring at the hand or considering chewing on it or something. He didn't want to scare the Fae as he knew there were dragons that would make a tasty meal out of Paroparo's kind given a chance. He didn't release his hand just yet seeming to have gotten used to the feeling of someone holding onto him... that and now that Paro was holding onto him the dragon was feeling a bit possessive of the hand... not that he would admit it out loud.

"I think that traveling would be nice to do were I to get the chance." He said, thinking of all the places that one could go and enjoy. There were so many interesting places, so many interesting people and races all of which he would like to see at some point in his lifetime, "What about you? Do you like to travel or are you more the sort to stay in one place?"

Paroparo for a moment thought Carys aws going to kiss his hand. His face was already turning crimson even though Carys was only looking at hishand and then when it was dropped down he felt foolish. And a bit dissapointed. Well...it could of been worse..what if he had tried to take a nibble?

He was happy though, for Carys continued to hold his hand he just hoped he didn't see his blush. Turning his face away as if distracted by another exhibit he took a moment to calm his racing heart down before replying to Cary's question.

"I've always wanted to travel...but...I am a bit afriad of...planes.." he explained as he himself could fly at night there was more than one night where he was almost hit by the flying monsters. They in truth terrified him.

"I would love going on a cruise at some point." He continued thinking on how nice a cruise would be.

The only difficult part of traveling Carys thought to himself as he looked over the pretty things in one of the cases was that his own lair... erm... apartment would be left unguarded for a very long time. He didn't like that idea but at the same time he didn't like the idea of being holed up in the same place forever. He was territorial and possessive over things but not to the point that he never wanted to leave the place he called home unless it was absolutely necessary. It could be a bit of a pain sometimes when his two sides, vastly different, warred over the smallest things.

"I rather liked flying when..." He trailed off, shook his head, then led the way over to another case, this one containing the sarcophagus that held the pharaoh during his long sleep and withing one could see the mummified up king, "I wonder what they think being put on display like this." It seemed a bit like an insult to a great ruler, while it was one thing to display his treasures it was quite another to show off his body.

He tried to get his mind back to where it had been before, what were they talking about? Travel, "Cruises don't seem to bad, you get to eat all that you want to eat, you get to go to a warm climate, and get don't really have to do much in the way of work for a week." While he wasn't sure what he thought about being in a craft that floated on the water without any land in sight for a long period of time the upsides outweighed the downsides.

Paroparo only really traveled at night. It was the only time he got to see more than the city that he lived in everyday. He loved seeing everything under the moon light, it all looked so different. But...he never got far, as he had to make sure he flew back before the sunrise else he fall to his death. The thought caused a slight shudder in him and he unconsciously stepped closer to Cary's as if to absorb some of his body heat.

Was it just him or was it drafty in here? He always found himself too cold when he was in buildings. They always messed with the temperatures and thus he always over dressed or under dressed and was uncomfortable either way. Right at this moment he was cold. He wanted to put his head on Cary's.....er...arm. He realized he was too short to reach the man's shoulder but an arm would do just as well. But deemed it would be inappropriate move for a second date. He should just be happy with holding his hand.

When Cary's mentioned the mummy king...he looked down at it and felt a bit sickened. He in truth couldn't stand the sight of blood, or ...any stage of death and decomposition. Even in foods. It bothered him greatly death and thus he did in fact huddle himself closer to Cary's as they looked down at him.

"I..I suppose he wouldn't find it too bad...it means his death is being glorified right? And that...well no one would ever truly forget about his legacy." He continued thinking on how some races of humans considered doing heroic acts and living forever through stories was what would make them truly immortal.

He distracted himself by looking at Cary's as the conversation when back to traveling. The idea of doing...nothing but fun stuff and eating all you wanted was appealing. But he wasn't sure if he could manage doing nothing but fun stuff....he considered his job fun in the first place....so why would he want to be away from it? Sure it kept him busy at times...when people called in sick and he had to work 12 hours a day instead but he did like it.

"Well I guess that's why it is a vacation.." he started going off from his thoughts rather then what Cary's had said. "You do them because you work all the time and need to get away from it for a while. Human's are strangely fragile that way." he commented and then quickly tried to correct himself.

"Ah not that I think Human's are weak! I mean...just tha...t ..some..well..um ..don't deal with stress well.. lots of humans...um..." He really was making a mess of this wasn't he? Paro stumbled over his words trying to make them sound not so bad. Cary's was part human after all. He didn't want him to take insult. Especially since he was getting rather attached to him.

Finally he just kinda sulked at Cary's side, his normally floppy ears sinking further downwards like a whipped dog's might. "I...I'm sorry." He stammered clutching to Cary's hand as if expecting it to suddenly he torn away from him.

The half dragon gave a nod of his head, "Thats true, maybe I am just over thinking things." He murmured, the King was being immortalized and what did a human man who life span was fleeting want more then to be remembered through the ages. He often seen things from his father's point of view which skewed things a little.

He turned to look over at the Fae who seemed to be coming closer and closer and closer, nearly pressed flush against him now. He felt the unease in him start to grow a little as well as the desire to shove Paroparo away. He was far to close... at the same time he didn't want to reject him or frighten him away, he really needed to get over this fear of being touched that he had...

So he took a deep and steadying breath before letting it out slowly.

He turned to listen and watched, feeling strangely amused as the Fae was suddenly tripping over his words. He tilted his head to the side before he gave him a bit of a smile, "You don't need to get so upset, I promise I won't eat you just because you have an opinion on something." He told him in a teasing sort of way.

He gave a motion, "Shall we move on to the next exhibit?" They had been at this one for a while and there were many other things to see, on top of that the room they were in was starting to get a little crowded and his silly, territorial feelings were starting to appear again.

The walking between the exhibits would give him time to force away foolish dragon emotions and give them more time to talk as well.

He still felt bad, but was a bit heartened by the fact that Cary's didn't push him away or get angry at him. He blushed heavily at his comment about eating him. Was that worry so painstakingly written no his face? He gave a slow nod of his head still aworry that he had offended the man.

"S..sure." he agree'd to moving onwards hoping the rest of the date wouldn't be full of him saying stupid things. Clutching Cary's hand like it was a life preservor that kept him from drowning in his own worries he was glad to be moving on as well. He liked people, crowds of people didn't bother him but with Cary's he wanted more alone time than anything.

"Um...what is the next exhibit?" he asked innocently, trying to loosen his death grip on the poor man's hand. He couldn't help it, when he was nervous he got clingy. hell ...he was clingy all the time. And super cuddly....strange how girls found it weird, didn't they usually want that in a man? He never could understand the opposite sex. Maybe that was why he was now having a date with a man.

"Uh...how old are you?" He asked timidly, knowing that dragons could live a very long time he wondered in a panicked sort of way just how young he was compared to him.

The half dragon led the way through the rest of the Egyptian exhibit to where it looped around and connected to the next room which seemed to have a lot of artifacts and taxidermy creatures from African in it, "This place is pretty neat, a lot of things made from natural materials." They had shields and weaponry from some of the tribes as well.

"Its not as good as some of the exhibits but not bad." He paused to allow Paroparo look the place over.

"I am twenty seven actually." Which was rather young for one with his blood lines, he found himself considering that, what Paroparo was, and then couldn't help but ask, "What about you?" Being a Fae he could appear young and be much older.

HIs ears dipped downwards as the information was given to him, he gave a swallow, so he was older..but not by a lot.

"I...u..h...I'm twenty-four." He replied with a coy smile. He hoped that the older man didn't mind that they had a three year difference between him. He was just glad that he wasn't like a hundred years old. Giving a bit of a dance as they looked around he couldn't help but express his joy in a little two-step.

He was still holding the dragons hand...and well he blushed thinking how the man had smiled at him.

"Th..this place is...a really cool exhibit." He said with a timid twist of his hair with his free hand.
"Yo..u like things like this...right? The...the treasures...and stuff like that?" He inquired trying to make small talk so that he wasn't just talking about things in his own head that the poor man couldn't hear.

Carys gave a happy mental cheer as he heard that, he was worried that he was a lot older then that, "Its a nice place, the museum is one of my favorite places to hang out when I have free time so I am glad that you came here with me."

"The treasures are a big draw to me, there are days I feel the urge to run off with them." He said with a little laugh, "Probably a good thing I can resist the urge as it would get me in a lot of trouble."

He walked over to one of the cabinets, looking in at some of the weaponry, "The weapons are interesting to though." He would never admit as much to his father, his father saw all human weapons as threats and preached on about how they should be more peaceful... less weapons, less war.

Paro looked at Cary's his cute smile still on his face, he was glad they had come here as well. He liked doing things with people, doing things with them that made them happy. He gave the hand a squeeze as they started looking at weaponry.

Paling he went to hide slightly behind Cary's. In truth he was a bit fearful of man made weapons....so much death had be wrought by the weapons of war. He could almost hear the shrieks of the dead resound from the show case. He gave a shudder involuntary as they looked at them.

He didn't want to take him away from something he found interesting, so he forced himself to be brave and pointed at a rather decorated sword.
"T..thats...nice.." He stuttered pointing timidly at the weapon.
PostPosted: Thu Jul 31, 2008 11:13 pm

He turned his attention from the weapons in the case to the one that Paroparo was pointing at. It was a pretty piece wasn't it? Nicely decorated and designed. He drifted over to look at it and nodded, "Very nice." He turned his attention to Paro, taking in the look he had to him... did the Fae look... scared?

He gave him a smile, "Do you want to move to the next room? There is a room with lots of bones from great dinosaurs not far from here." He wasn't a huge fan as it reminded him of dragon bones but if it were something Paro would like to look at he could deal with it.

Paroparo shook his head quickly, if there was something more terrifying to him it was anything that resembled dragons. Even if they were only bones. And...how he was dating a half dragon he still couldn't guess.

"Ah...how about we get...um...some coffee?" he suggested instead as he had a craving for sweet things...he always ate when nervous. And he wished he was carrying some sweet treat on him at this moment. He could of devoured it in a moment.

"I...would..like to learn more about you.." He continued with a forced smile as he tried to avoid his gaze at the weapons.

Carys gave a happy sound, nodding his head, "Coffee sounds great." He agreed, all for skipping the dinosaur bones for more favorable surroundings. It would even be a bit of fun to go out to get coffee with Paroparo with the two of them all dressed up as they were.

He started to lead the way from the museum, probably a good thing as the man had long since give his speech and it would seem as if people were through with mingling out side as well and were starting to drift inside the place. It was getting a bit to crowded which got Carys's hackles up a bit. To many people in his favorite place...

"Learn more about me? Alright, feel free to ask anything you like and I will answer best I can." He told the Fae.

Happy that they were leaving the scary weapons and dinosaurs behind Paro nodded his head and clung to Cary's side. He didn't want to get lost after all, there were lots of people around now. He guessed the man's speech must of been over. He liked people, liked being around them, his gaze lingered on every person taking in their expressions and clothing choices.

He looked back up to Cary's when he spoke. Chewing no his lower lip for a question to ask him. Perhaps they should wait until after they had gotten their coffee?

"Uh...well what's your favorite food?" He inquired much like a kid would.
