Zuriel felt the blood rushing to his face. "I am terribly terribly sorry Miss Sienna! No wonder you were mad! I really thought it was Sierra...I knew it started with a Si! I just recognized Sierra so I was sure that was it!" He babbled on, his distress causing him to lose all composure. "Miss Horo please help me to show her I didn't mean it! I really, truly am very sorry. I would never intentionally do that!"

"Hahahaha... I'm sure that see knows you didn't mean it but this girl seems to have an issue with you. You must have done something bad to make her dislike you this much Zuri." Horo looked at the mer in amusement at his plight. If only the rest of the world were as dense as him, then everything might be a little more relaxed... in her own complex world. "Lesson number two. Sienna's mute, if you didn't know from before."
Sienna huffed a bit at the so called "second lesson". He should have figured it out by now... then again, being who he is, I wouldn't be surprised if he thought I was just ignoring him... The mare blinked at herself for a moment before realizing that she actually referred to IT as a 'he'. Darn it!

Zuriel stared blankly at Horo and then gave Sienna a questioning look. "What's mute?"

... My lord, IT even calls itself a stallion? Mother... why did we befriend IT? The raccoon colored mare weeped to herself in her thoughts as she looked away from IT. She knew that IT was not aware of a lot of things in life but at the rate IT was going Sienna seriously began to wonder how even lived into adulthood. She almost felt sorry for any mare that might take interest in IT. If it were IT, IT'd be oblivious to the concept of giving birth and having foals. Her mother mentioned something like this before... the first time she met IT if Sienna recalled correctly. Hopefully mother taught IT something about foals... otherwise I'd have little hope in IT's future generations, if IT even has ANY. Perhaps it was good that Sienna didn't talk for she had pretty sharp things to say a lot of the time. She liked to play the role of innocent little mare but IT was too much.
Horo blinked at the stallion in the water for a few seconds before sighing, no longer as entertained as before. "Boy-ya, you will seriously have a hard time in life if you don't start learning about things in life. If you continue as you are, you might unintentionally hurt those around you." The she wolf was honestly somewhat concerned for Zuriel for his behavior was certainly not very conventional. "First off, being mute is someone who is in able to speak such as you or I. This is often due to a sickness or an injury." Vague memories of wounded beasts pasted through the wise wolf's mind as she recalled things that she'd rather forget. "However, there are cases where a living creature chooses to seal off their voice on their own free will. This would be Sienna."

Zuri looked down at the water gently flowing about him. It was time to add one more thing to the lists of things that everyone seemed to know but he had never heard of before. And he had upset someone again. In the ocean he was isolated, he truly enjoyed being with others so he tried to interact with them but it always ended the same way. Failure. But he refused to let them know it bothered him.
"Yeah I'm just learning as I go along I guess. And I'm sad to hear that Miss Sierra won't speak, I'm sure she has a lovely voice, and a rather lot to say."

... Well... I suppose IT is trying... Sienna had to admit to herself. But that was all that she would admit as the faintest of blushes crossed her face. More of a shameful blush then, well, the other kind.
"Haha. If you heard this bird sing you'd only hear croaking!" Horo laughed in response knowing that Sienna was secretly glaring right at that moment. "Ahhh... I'm sorry if I sounded harsh there. I do suppose the sea and land are different and you seem to have lived quite an isolated life so, I suppose its all right. Still, do be attentive to your surroundings. Even the simplest of glances can teach you a lot," the wolf spoke with a rare genuine smile of sorts. "You're trying your best at learning these things. That's enough. And who knows. Sei may forgive you one day!"

Zuriel got the uncomfortable feeling that they were being nice to him just to be nice. Which meant that he had probably bothered them by his oddness. "Of course," he replied with as much cheerfulness as he could muster "I learn what I can. Its good that Miss Sei has you to guide her."

The she wolf couldn't help but sigh. "I'm not trying to be nice to you just cause I want to be nice. Its written on your face if you're wondering." A small shrug followed after. "Sei has always been the problematic one in her family. But that just likely means that she's the shyest of the bunch!" Horo smiled again, but rather cheekily this time around.
The black striped face turned around abruptly as the mare stared at the wolf and proceeded to n** at Horo's ear. LIES wolf!
"Ahahahaha! See? I was RIGHT!"

Zuriel was stuck between being upset that he was so easy to read and grateful that they were trying to accept him. He smiled a bit as Sei nipped at Horo, the two were so comfortable together.
"Well Miss Sei I can find no reason for you to be shy, you are a lovely young lady and I"m sure many soquili would love to meet you."

"Well, you are a gentleman in your own way I suppose," Horo replied bemusedly. "Others will like you for that. I guess I should say just be yourself. You should be fine." Her oddly colored eyes looked to see what expression the stubborn mare was going to give Zuriel.
Eyes blinked as Sienna stared at IT, shrugged and acted completely indifferent to IT. I don't need you to tell me what to do. Or Horo for that matter. I can take care of my self thank you.

He nodded, "I will most certainly remember your advice Miss Horo. And thank you for helping me out earlier. I just hope I haven't offended Miss Sienna too much."
His skin was beginning to itch as it dried and he shrugged uncomfortably, debating if it would be rude to dip underwater for a few seconds or not.

Gray legs shifted a bit uncomfortably. Sienna was getting restless and she hated conversations like this. Way too dull. And besides... IT seemed a bit uncomfortable in a strange way. IT was from the sea after all. Too much air was probably bad for IT. Quietly, she walked up to the wolf and nibbled at her ears again, but with a touch of affection this time around.
"Oya~?" Eerie red eyes looked carefully at the mare's actions and then turned their attention to the mer soquili. "Well, it seems that the missy has forgiven you somewhat. We've talked for a while and you are probably uncomfortable in this cold air. Perhaps we should retire for the day? Or do you have anything else you'd like to say?"
I haven't forgiven him... Sienna thought as she rolled her eyes.

Zuriel perked up, he was ready to get back into the ocean and roll around until the itching was gone. And he seemed to be on better terms with Miss Sienna. Not too bad considering how things had started.
"Have a wondrous day you two, and be careful in the cold" he smiled gently at them and waited to watch them leave, he could hold out that long. Besides it wasn't polite to leave before ones guests.

Still feeling very indifferent to IT, Sienna simply bobbed her head in a quick motion and proceeded to move away from the beach. The air was getting a tad bit chillier at this point, much t her dislike. Where was the spring? Her darker gray ears could hear the wolf chuckling as she followed the mare back home.

With a sigh of relief Zuriel settled into the sea. His skin loved the cool water and he rolled around in it, readjusting. He hadn't realized he'd been so tense until now, but it was all fine now. He dashed through the water, heading towards a bed of sea grasses, eating should prepare him for the next adventure.
