Leviathan grinned and nodded eagerly. Well, it looked like he had a new beach buddy, didn't it. "You did great!" he crooned, shaking his hair away from his face. "I mean, since your board is weird and all." Sure, she wasn't as totally righteous as he was, but she was still decent enough! "Wanna go again?" He could spend all day playing in the waves!

"You bet!" she said, starting to paddle back out through the waves. She shrugged off his comment about her board for a moment before giving it some actual thought. She'd been body boarding since she was a baby, and she'd seen lots of other little kids doing it. But all the surfers were her age and older. Did that mean bodysurfing was a baby sport, and surfing was the real McCoy?
"Maybe you could... ah... teach me how to use a board that's not all wimpy?" she suggested.

Leviathan shrugged. A lot of people wanted him to teach them how to surf, it seemed. "Uh, sure. You'll need a real board first," he pointed out. He'd be more than happy to demonstrate, but he didn't really want to share. His board was his most precious possession. He just didn't know what he'd do if anything ever happened to it! (Nevermind his father wouldn't let him have a new one.)
"I can tell you where a good board shop is, though.

Ophelia nodded. Even if Levi hadn't explicitly stated his aversion to sharing, she could understand the sentiment. Well, that was okay. She knew she probably wouldn't want to share, either.
"Yeah?" she asked, managing to balance in a sitting position on her board, "Where is there one?"
She remembered one at the mall, but that had been mostly bathing suits, hadn't it?

"Okay. So, it's just down the street. Well, on the street next to this one," he said with a nod, smiling. He was glad Ophelia understood the unspoken law. Actually, he was very glad. This made her okay. For a girl. Well, this made her more than okay. She was alright. Leviathan's smile widened and he nodded to himself, glad this was decided.
"Call me when you get your board and we can go surfing, okay? Or IM me. I use that, too."

"IM?" asked Ophelia, a bit unclear on concept. She understood 'call me', but this was uncharted territory (she assumed it was some sort of communication.)
He was smiling at her, though, and he'd told her where to get a board, which basically equated to him being pretty nice. She smiled back. They could be friends if this kept up.

"Yep. IM." Levi nodded, slowly realizing Ophelia might not actually know what he was talking about. "You know, Instant Messanger? On the computer! My screen name is biohazardous....with two 'x's between 'bio' and 'hazardous'." He grinned. He thought the name was rather clever, yes he did. "Okay, yeah?"

"Oh," nodded Ophelia, slowly beginning to understand. She knew how to use the computer - her father had shown it to her, and she figured she could figure the program out. His screen name seemed simple enough. She could remember that.
"Yeah!" she said, smiling again. It would be an adventure, anyway.

Leviathan smiled. Well, that settled that. Ophelia would get a board, tell him, and then he would teach her to surf...without cheating, that was. Excellent. "Well, I guess I'll see you around?" he asked, tipping his head to one side. He had things to do, you know. Small boys could be very, very busy.
