One thing was certain about Kiv- when she made a decision to trust someone, she left no inhibitions to slow her down. Nodding in approval at Beatz's practical response to Pales' offer, the shaman seemed quite satisfied with the arrangements now. "We are going, then!" A broad announcement, meant to both bid farewell to Beatz and the small ones and inform Pales that she was walking out the door. Which promptly she was taking action on. She was out on the sidewalk again within seconds, already adopting a cautiously determined stride as she proceeded back in the direction of the monstrous building that they had seen before.

Vanaja, unbothered by the disappearance of her Guardian, seemed to have missed the memo that she ought to head over to join the others. She was busy poking around at a dust bunny she'd managed to find on the floor, oddly fascinated by the amorphous dirt. She wrinkled her face as she picked it up in clumsy baby hands and squished it flat. It wasn't anything like she remembered seeing, but it was failing to be really interesting... merely curious.

Having conducted her exploration, Vanaja was quite startled to realize she'd gotten left behind by her playmate. With a worry-pitched chirp, she tried calling out to Kaveri, trying to sort out what they ought to be doing if they were on different parts of the floor as they were.

Pales nodded as his head turned briefly toward Kiv’s retreating form as she announces that they were indeed leaving now with or without him. He lifted up a hand in a hasty wave, "See you guys when we get back!" The one-eyed man exclaimed as he turned and made a hasty trot after his companion. After he exits the door snaps firmly closed.

Kaveri returned the grin to Kiba but soon her attention was turned to Vanaja upon hearing her playmate’s worried sound. Kaveri’s face turned into an expression of concerned distress as she turned her form about using her hands to see Vana some distance away from them. This would not do, something had to be done. The nagaling looked back to Kiba again and made a small "Aaaahh..." and began to crawl toward Vana to rescue her birdsong making friend from her own loneliness. Hopefully Kiba would follow otherwise the poor little nagi will find herself between a rock and a hard place.

Then if they all meet up they could continue playing if no one was too upset. Yes. That would be good.

Was it proper to yell "have fun" after them? Eh, probably not. Who knows what they were going out to do. "Fun" probably had absolutely nothing to do with it, judging by the type of woman Kiv was. With an inward chuckle, Beatz settled for giving the leaving couple a salute, before returning to her attention to the babies she was now watching. With the parents gone, everything was up to her now. Luckily, the babies were still at the stage where they trusted anyone, so she didn't think watching them would be too much of a problem.

Kiba's ears perked at the worried chirp, giving an answering squeak. No worries! They could all come over there if she needed them to! The rat baby definitely didn't mind joining his two new companions on the floor, it was all a matter of convincing his current caretaker to get him down there. Luckily, Beatz seemed to take a hint pretty easily, and settled down next to Vanaja. Kaveri seemed to be making her own way over, but the cook certainly didn't mind offering the snake girl a hand if she needed it.

Content that they were all on the same level now, the rat baby squeaked happily from his seat on Beatz's lap. Yay! Now what were they going to do? Momentarily fascinated by the sheer amount of greenery that seemed to be coming out of every part of Vana, Kiba reached out a little pink hand to touch one of her head-ferns, churring softly.

The little Lesidhe was quite contented by the immediate attempts to address her concerns- more than that, she seemed downright pleased, craning her head back to blink up at Beatz (who, being bigger, was the first to draw her attention) with a happy twitter. Her Guardian certainly wouldn't have paid such concern to an off-handed remark, that was for certain!

It was impossible not to be delighted by such attention, and it was equally impossible for Vanaja not to express it. An enthused smile lit up her face and, impulsively, she thrust out the fist holding the squished dust bunny, offering it up toward Beatz with insistence and simply letting it drop.

Her pint-sized fellows earned her attention again swiftly enough- the furless hand near her head was plenty to remind her she had similar-sized playmates to be spending her time on. Flinching away from the contact with one of the tender leaves, she chirped and rustled her tail in agitation, making a face at the babe who had intruded so carelessly on her personal space. She'd seen things like him before, the nosy little creatures that shied away from her greetings and only snuck around when they thought no one was looking. This certainly didn't act like those skittish field mice, though, just reaching for one of her fronds like that!

And then, forgetting the slight and thoughtless to the hypocrisy (as though she even know such a concept existed!), Vana had apparently decided she was now curious about the ratkin's furred self. Reaching out with a hand of her own, she tried grabbing for any part of Kiba's body that seemed convenient- a leg might do well enough- in the hopes of testing the softness of that fur.

It took longer than the little nagi had intended. Much longer, but she seemed pretty determined to do it on her own and thus didn’t cry out for assistance though, clearly, assistance would have been given when asked for. She stuck out her tongue as she wriggled the last few feet over to Vana and let out a satisfied sounding sigh as she settled near to the side of her friend and then proceeded to watch the interaction between the two with a tilted head.

Mostly the babe kept her hands to herself with the exception of the few times she played a game of ‘I wonder if this fits in my mouth!’ where nothing was safe from her tiny searching fingertips. This, however, seemed a little different than those things. Why would she want to stick Vana’s ferns in her mouth? Well now that she thought about it the idea seemed tantalizing somehow. Kaveri skewed her face for a brief time before just turning her attention to Kiba to witness what his reaction would be to Vana reaching toward his fur. If he was receptive maybe she would touch too!

Had Kaveri taken much notice of her guardian leaving chances were she would have fussed a great deal, thank goodness for distractions.

Beatz chuckled at the happy twitter she received for her efforts. Who knew coming over would please the little one so much? With a sideways glance to make sure the little snake girl was making her way over slowly but surely, the badger returned her attention back to Vanaja. She returned the smile the young fern girl was giving her, and opened her palm at the offered fist. "Ah, I see you caught yourself a dust bunny. Not surprising, seeing our current choice of seating." Well, know she had a dust bunny. She would probably have to hold onto it until Vanaja's guardian returned. Then she could release it back into its natural habitat.

Kiba's small hand hesitated at the face he was given, before it was returned back to its mate. He knew that face very well. Do Not Touch. Though, he had never had someone make that face to him about touching something growing from them. Normally he was allowed to touch all pieces of hair and furry bits so long as he was gentle. Maybe these green plant things were different from hair bits and fur bits. The rat baby gave an apologetic peep, hoping he hadn't upset his new playmate too much. He didn't like upsetting people.

Vanaja seemed to still like him though, as she reached out to touch one of his legs. Kiba chattered softly, and sat still, allowing her to do as she pleased.

Vanaja would gladly forgive him for his poor manners before, except for that she gave every sign of having forgotten he'd had them. With a loud and happy burst of chirps, she adoringly patted at the fur on his leg, obviously finding the sensation pleasing. They reminded her of the thick brown furs that Kiv had made liberal use of back at their home- except maybe he didn't smell as bad. At least by a little.

Quickly becoming aware that Kaveri had come to join them, Vanaja greeted her friend with a bright and happy smile, enthusiastically waggling both of her hands. It was almost bewildering for the young Lesidhe to have so many people to try and pay attention to at once, but she certainly wasn't aggrieved for it!

Kaveri sat upright coiling whatever modest length of tail she had around forming a bit of a seat. She watched as Vana petted the fuzzy one letting out a small giggle of amusement. He certainly looked soft! Her tiny fingertips wiggled a bit in anticipation until finally she reached out toward Kiba’s shoulder in order to lightly touch the fur there. The tip of her tail that still remained visible slightly behind her twitched back and forth in a small relaxed rhythm showing that she was relaxed and felt safe.

Naturally if he jerked away from her she would stop.

Kaveri beamed a smile back over at Vanaja. The nagi was in much the same position as her half-plant friend. It was easy giving attention to one person at a time, but to give attention to yet another member seemed somewhat difficult and yet fun. She didn’t wish for either to feel left out.

Kiba giggled at the chirps, enjoying the fact that he and Vanaja communicated in a fairly similar way. It was hard sometimes, trying to get his mouth around the funny sounds and words that most people made. Quinn had learned first hand how hard it was for him to make even the simply popping noise she could make with his mouth. The rat baby was much better with this chittering and squeaking business, just like Vanaja seemed to be very good at chirping. She could even make a lot of the same sounds as he could! Clearly that was something amazing.

The ratling was enjoying this dual attention, and a single large pink ear turned a little when Kaveri touched his shoulder. Forced to turn his attention away from the fern girl and towards the nagi, Kiba caught sight of Kaveri's moving tail. He seemed to be quite mesmerized by it, and leaned forward a little to touch it. Vanaja's earlier irritation about being touched seemed to be quite fresh in his mind, as he hesitated before his fingers actually touched the scaly surface. Would she mind if he touched it?
