"Be careful, he might not understand what you're telling him." She looked over at Chang where he was laying in the dirt. "At least it might be easier to teach him if he's got others to learn with. They can all practice together when they're older."

"I'll behave." He nodded slowly before turning to approach the other lion, leaning down to give Chang's tail a tug. "C'mon. Get up."

He flailed slightly as Tamba tugged on his tail and scrambled to his feet. "huh?Wha?" He hadn't been paying attention at all to what the other male and Kindo had been saying.
Shaking her head she leaned down and nosed the little ones beside her as they all flopped into a pile to sleep. They were adorable and reminded her so much of Tamba.

"C'mon. Food isn't going to eat itself, you know." He smirked, tail swishing slowly back and forth behind him. "You can listen while you're eating, can't you?"

"Food!" He brightened up and looked over to the meal that Tamba had brought. Squeaking happily and scampered over to it. Tamba had said he could eat so he didn't think he'd get in trouble for taking a bite first. "Listen to what?"

"Me talking." He smirked, resisting the urge to roll his eyes as he watched the other. "Things are going to be changing around here... There's going to be a few new rules that you're going to have to keep in mind."

He pulled a bite off the kill before looking back up at Tamba. "Rules?" His question was muffled around a mouthful since he hadn't bothered to swallow before asking.

"Yes, rules." He nodded once, stalking slowly around Chang before flopping down to watch him, tail flickering behind him. "Over there sleeping with Kindoro are three cubs... Our little ones and, as long as you're following us around, your new..." He paused for a moment, nose wrinkling slightly. "... Siblings."
He shook his head, mossy mane moving about his head as he tried to settle his thoughts. "You will have to be gentle with them. As you are older than they are they will learn things from you as they grow, which means you will have to be on your best behavior as well."

"Cubs?" His eyes widened as he turned to look toward where Kindo was. He at least knew what those were even if he didn't get how there could be cubs all of a sudden. "Siblings?"
He thought he was always on his best behavior. Kindo never said anything different and she always said that Tamba was just always grouchy.

"Yes, cubs. Three of them... Over there resting with Kindoro. They'll need lots of rest, so we'll be staying put for a while, until the four of them are able to travel again..." Or until he was certain that Chang could help them carry the cubs without hurting one of them or dropping it. "You'll have cubs to play with and learn alongside now." He nodded slowly. "Once they're a bit bigger, that is."

He tipped his head to the side and thought about that. He had no idea how that would really work but it could be fun. He'd never really had anyone else to play with. Tamba didn't really 'play' with him so much and knock him around to try to knock sense into him. "I like staying put .. not as much walking." He grinned at the other male brightly

"Then you should have no trouble at all with this arrangement." He smirked, shaking his head slowly before glancing back over his shoulder to where he'd left Kindoro and their cubs. "Rest while you still can... Soon enough none of us will be staying put as much as we'd like."
