Celestia Whitesword Hm. What to make my story be. ^^;; Perhaps a fae princess. Hm. Anyone know any good instruments within a fantasy type setting? Do you mean musical insruments? If so, a Lyre from mythology. Recorders were common in the middle ages as well.

Gonna add Bird-kin and Dragon-kin in the races list. Still thinking of land names, but I've got an idea for a specific area down to specific landmarks of interest.

Essentially, a palace, castle or city of the faeries. 3nodding Or do the fae you have in mind construct such?
And I'm also thinking that dwarves generally tend to build their cities at the base of mountains, for mining and all.
btw, did you ever play D+D much?

I'm guessing they'll have a castle/palace on top of a cliff overlooking the enchanted fields.
As for Dwarves, all over the mountains, not just at the base of one. Once a given area inside is discovered to be mineral-less, they'd most likely start building housing and the like inside, etc.
Nope, no DnD for me.

Sounds groovy. The reason I queried o' D+D is pretty much because that's where I got the association with dwarves, mountains, mining and things, as well as elves in the forest, etc. These associations are also seen in Magic: the Gathering.

Dwarves with mountains and mining and Elves with forests are kinda stock things in fantasy. That, and all Dwarves being Scottish apparently...
Anyways, as it stands, when I come up with the various areas of the world, I'll edit them in the same post as the races.

I'm getting inspired by various sources to create a list of " common things you'll come across " in the RP, such as items, commonplace magic spells, foods, animals, weapons, etc.
If I decide to that, I'll put it all in a seperate post since it doesn't involve races or locations.

I don't know if anyone has ever messed with RPG Maker, but a long time ago, I had an idea for an item that would seriously boost stats. In the original Wild Arms, you could boost certian stats with corresponding apples, so that made me come up with something called "Heroes Apple Pie", which, when used, gave an all across stat boost to characters. ^^
