well, I have wanted to burn one book. Once in Georgia, me, my cousin and her boyfriend were waving at random people in the street from inside a restaurant through a window. One guy (Jahova's Witness??) Came up and left a booklet on the window. It said 'You are pure evil and the way of god is your only salvation. Make a generous contribution to our church and you might be saved.' My family is Catholic. Barely. Me and my cousin almost killed that guy. xd but other than that, burning books is bad. sad (poor books. crying )

It has therefore been declared, that any and all book burners that are seen by me, shalt then be chased down with a 12-gauge shotgun, and then shot.

Book burning is bad! There are nearly(note the nearly) no instances in which book burning is acceptable!

No, no, no. I would never.

Kind of not burning but, once in an English class there was a roach on the wall and people were making a big fuss about it (including me, because just looking at roaches makes me sick). So, my teacher decides to grab a copy of the novel the class was reading and kill it. I yelled "What, are you crazy? How could you do such a thing?" Everyone looked at me like I was the crazy one.

He was an English teacher. I just don't understand.

I remember listening to only Christian music for a few months. Everyone in my youth group was like, "Did you break them all? Wasn't it just awesome?!" It was like...back away slowly.

The only textbooks I would approve being renounced would be the mistaken textbooks, the most famous being in China and Japan. But to burn them? What's the point? Their government will just cut down more trees to further dictation(moreso China than Japan, imo).

I don't like some of my books, but I'm sure someone will come along who will want them. Or maybe I'll change in some pivotal way and like them suddenly. Heaven only knows what a writer will need to research.

If you are going to burn a book you might as well burn a person because the author put their very soul in to their writting. Burning a book in my oppinion is wrong. I don't remember where I heard this but a person once said "Burn a book I'll burn you." and I agree because books are the only thing that keeps me sane.

I agree. And said books (mistaken textbooks) are important pieces of history as well. Like you say, we may need to use them as reference someday (not to mention to ensure that future generations know such misinformation actually happened).

I don't support burning books seeing as they give us a window at hisory of the time. I wish that the Great Libarary had not been burned when attacked.

I may have posted here before, but I don't and won't ever support book burning because of political or moral opposition. About 500 people gathered in the south to burn their children's copy of THE HOBBIT because it supported drugs.

In my..... 14 years on this earth I have only wanted to burn one book, that book is The Invisible Man by H.G. Wells.

Hmm. I didn't hear about that. Perhaps I should read the book again? How did it support drugs?

I don't think it is OK for a person to burn a book in any case, not even if its to save there own life, i do not support people who think it is OK to burn a book

I nearly cried reading Ferinhite 451 because of all the book burning going on.
And in a game I've recently gotton there's a place that's like a country of libraries and they have one absolute law: "Those who destroy works of knowlage with ink blade or fire are themselves destroyed."
At one point I was planning on burning the christian bible but then I remembered how it's like any other book and people shouldn't be mean to books just because some people take their contents too seriously.
