Tamora Pierce? what does she write?
Fantasy, with teenage girls as heroines. Her Tortall books are really good...

What about her style? Is she more advanced, or an easier, one afternoon, read? Have you read any Terry Brooks or J.R.R Tolkien? I like their stlye. Anne Rice as well, though the content is as mature as the way she writes it.

I read Tolkein in 6th grade, but liked the movies better. I'm going to reread LOTR as soon as I'm done with The Regime. Everyone says Terry Brooks is really good, so I'll have to get to the library asap...

Tammy writes for teenagers. Girls mostly. If you like lady knights, mages, and swords, then I strongly suggest her books.

A new book to my list
The Empirical Stance Bas Van Fraassen

Best anti-realist (about science) book I've read. Though, he has nothing on the excerpts regarding Ernst Mach's Instrumentalism (a subset of the grouping of anti-realism about science)

I really like Frank Peretti. I've read all his books but 1 or 2, I'm not sure, but I really like Monster and This present darkness. And then there's the Dragons in our midst series, which is awesome! Highly reccomended.

The Bible
Narnia books
LotR series
The Phantom Toll Booth
The Westing Game
A Wrinkle in Time

A lot of others.

"Man can build no structure that outlasts a book."

Or something like that. . .

Most of them are too feminist for me.. But I loved Trickster's Choice and Trickster's Queen.

If you like easyreads, Melody Carlson writes really good series, and the Lions of Judah series by Gilbert Morris is reall good too.

Yes, they are. Have you read any other books by C. S. Lewis?
