"That is a rather harsh way to put it." Derrik reached and lifted Jade's face to eye level again. "Its rude to not look at the one speaking to you. But yes. People are toys, pawns if you will. Mere pieces to move for amusement. Surely you have played this game before. Its one of the most widely played games. Once can even play it without realizing it, but then those that don't know they are playing, are often the ones played."
He smiled again and decided to test and see just how far he had gotten with the other male. "So tell me, Jade. What is your wish. Your one true desire."

Jade continued to loook down, until Derrik lifted his chin and scolded him a little for looking away. He lifted his gaze to meet the Djinn's, trying to look as neutral as possible. "I...think I have...once..." He mumbled, though not at the extremes that Derrik seemed to play. He reasoned that his position in society called for it, even when he avoided it as much as humanly possible now.
He blinked, coming out of his daydream when Derrik spoke again, his brain slowly processing the words. "What...I...I dunno..." He mumbled, looking down. He had to not trust him, but it was so hard! He knew what he wanted and it was just a matter of saying, but what would happen once he said it?

"Oh come come. Its not everyday you encounter a Djinni that in infatuated with you." He leaned forward and kissed his cheek. "You can trust me.' He gave the most reassuring and sincere smile he had even given to anyone.
"Everyone has a wish. I had a wish. And when I found you... Well... Your beauty struck me, so I followed you around, until you stopped, frustrated and lost. Im your savior. Let me be the key to the chest to all your wildest dreams." He reached down and grabbed Jade's and hands and layed them on his own heart. "There you can tell I speak the truth. You can feel my heart. Let it tell you where it is. Who it belongs to."
"Now. Lets try this again. What is it that you wish."

Jade bit his lip, shaking his head weakly in soft protest. It was all a lie! Even with the kiss and...everything. It was all a lie! But...why did it sound so sincere? He jammed his eyes shut, trying to ignore the kiss placed on his cheek and the soothing words. It was easy enough to be swept away by such things, even when you didn't mean to be.
"You're...not truthful..." Jade murmured, turning his head away a little. He was still weakly protesting, more swayed then not, but he was fighting. He turned his head around at the feel of a steady heartbeat under his palms, blinking. It was all tales, wasn't it? "My wish? My wish is to be happy, for all the loneliness and sadness to disappear..." He mumbled, finally caving. He had been told to be careful, but a silver-tongue won over most everyone.

Derrik smiled. "Is that all? Company? You wish for company?"
Derrik's voice went silent. When Jade opened his eyes, he was back at the junction from before. Where the apple core was tossed. The junction was not empty this time, and the apple core was not laying on the ground. But rather several small little creature were fighting for it. But to Jade they would not be so small and little, for he had been sent back to this little area, and set to the size of the tiny pocket goblins.
Derrik was not far, as he felt a little bad for what he did, and he would not let any harm come to his new toy. But he was sure the little goblins would see the beautiful fairy and would want nothing more than to rip away its glowing innocent beauty in the most barbaric of ways. And sure enough, one by one they looked up from the war for the apple core, and looked at the fairy. And soon, they charged. Running towards him.

Jade knew something was wrong when things went silent and he felt an odd feeling encompass him for a few seconds. He opened his eyes and gasped in surprise at how small he was now, and of how vicious the once tiny pocket goblins looked. The fright only grew when they charged and he ran, though he was getting nowhere fast. They looked barbaric right now, like they would rip him apart like anything else the had a fight over.
"Help! This isn't the wish, I'm not happy!" He cried as he clambered over a large branch to escape them, not in his right senses to even try and fly out of their reach. It was terrifying, his heart was in his throat and his body and mind pulsing with fear. He could hear them getting closer and closer to him.

Derrik laughed as he stepped out of the shadows and leaped down and grabbed up the now small fairy. "But surely jest my little Jade. You are happy now. Those pesky little goblins wont take my little Jade now." He scoffed at them as they yelled profanities about him their fairy away from them.
"Now... I gave you company. I rescued you. Surely you are happy. Now tell me... what was one of the first things I told you about me?" He smiled again. "It so ironic. I warned you and yet you still trusted me. Its why my life is never dull. All of you people are so predictable."
Derrik threw the fairy into the air, but his feet touched the ground before he could realize it, and once more they were eye to eye. "I apologize. Let me grant you one small wish. Let me lead you out of this labyrinth."

Jade gave a small shriek when Derrik grabbed him, though the relief that washed over him was great. He looked up at the Djinn, blinking. "You tricked me" He comaplined, screaming when he was thrown into the air, though he gave a gasp of surprise when he was suddenly the size he should be. "H-H...No, I can find my own way out." He insisted, wary of trusting Derrik anymore.
"It's simple...I think.." Jade muttered, turning from Derrik and walking back to the crossroad area, peering down the left path. He could do this! He looked over his shoulder, giving Derrik a weirdly lost look, before walking down the bath, carefully stepping over things. Simple and if he got mauled by some horrid creature, he had had a weird experience.

Derrik laughed. "You do learn!" He said in exclamation. "but if you really dont want accompaniment out of this labyrinth. I wish you much luck in finding your way out. You will be lucky to do so. You are both very close, and very far away from your destination."
He let Jade walk away before calling out again. Mimicking a little blue worm he had seen once before. "I wouldn't go that way if I was you! Never go that way!"

Jade stopped and peeked around the corner, blinking at Derrik at the other's latest outburst. "Fine" He murmured, walking up the other path. He sighed, muttering about having more then he bargained for when he came into this weird maze. He guessed another few hours wandering around was in order.

"Nuh uh uh." Derrik called out once more. He waited for the fairy to return. "Remember, sometimes the way forward is to go back the way you came." He smiled as he turned around pointed down the path that was behind them. It was a small length but at the end was a door. "There is your exit. And no... Im not playing trickery. Its one of the doors to the center of the labyrinth. Not the exit."
Derrik walked over to the door and opened it, to show the fairy it was indeed a legitimate door to the center. "It was nice meeting you Jade." He bowed as he held the door open.

Jade looked back, sighing as he backtracked once again and followed Derrik's direction. Stepping up to the door, he looked back. He guessed, Derrik had made it interesting this afternoon.
"It was....fun I guess..." he murmured, looking back at him as he half stepped through the door. "...It was nice meeting you too, perhaps...I'll come back soon" he said, waving as he stepped through the door and walked off.

With a chuckle Derrik parted ways with his new friend. "If you get lost on your way out, just look for me." He shut the door behind the fairy and then vanished in a cloud of smoke.

Jade blinked his eyes open as sunlight filtered through the light drapes in his room, yawning quietly as he fully woke up. It was the morning after he had brought Derrik over to the Northern Forests to visit his home, like the other had requested. Currently, they were staying in a small mansion type place Jade's parents had given him. The butterfly sat up and looked blearily at the mantle clock placed over a small fireplace in his room.
"Too early.." He whined, deciding another half an hour in bed would be good. He had given the Djinn his own room, so he should be fine for a little while. Yesterday had been hectic and exciting, a number of events had happened to himself and Derrik. "Nnn" Jade tugged the covers over his head, in an attempt to block out the offending sunlight. "Let me sleep~~"

Derrik's room was a little small, but was very comfortable. He had fallen straight to sleep, and had woke up a little before they sun had come out. So by the time he was done with his bathing, the sun was up and he could hear movement in the other room.
Even though he really was not clothed, wrapped in nothing but a towel. He entered Jade's room, who he assumed was covered up in the blankets on the bed. Derrik took it upon himself to crawl into the bed, and see just what Jade was doing, not really caring if it the male wanted more sleep. "You sleeping under there?" He asked softly, pulling at the covers to get a glimpse of the fairy.
