((Holy Beans!! Married?! eek ))

"My brother will be on his best behavior... Or close to it." She chuckled softly. Cale wasn't one for misbahving. Mostly just brooding. He was a rather... "Emo" person. He didn't talk much and hates most everybody. He'd never admit that he actually likes Hattie or his first Mate, Ian.

Hattie listened up as Eric spoke to Mizrahi and then almost fainted on the spot when he said, "Bride To Be" She quickly turned to him, utterly astonished, which was very much unlike her. "Bride to be?!" She all but screamed. She didn't care if the others saw her histarics. "Are you asking me to marry you?" She whispered, unbelieving her own ears. Sigil made a slight, disapproving noise and tightened his grip on Hattie's right shoulder, almost reminding her of her illness and the fact that marriage came after the healing.

( surprised Does that mean there will be a wedding?!)

As Tu and her ship approached, the Siryn sent a message to Osis, asking for permission to land and meet with the refugees.

Das Steube
The doctor bristled, steeling his mind against Cassandra.

Captain paused, watching the reaction Johachim had to her, but went back to checking in the refugees.

Cassandra laughed in her own head, not bothering to let him hear. more of a coincidence, not less. I am not here for you. Although if you have a moment to talk at some point, it will save me a return trip.>

She had long since turned away, carrying the Rogue's body through the doors with the rest of the refugees. Just before she passed through, however, she decided to put one more knot in the state of affairs. In the Captain's mind (because organic or inorganic, he has one), her face appeared with a concerned expression, then faded.

A.C. kept looking back over her shoulder at Dr. Mizrahi. He was the first person she had ever seen with orange eyes like hers. Still, she never left Cassandra's side to ask about it.

Eric remained unphased.
"That's exactly what I wish to imply, but first we need to get you fixed up. I'd rather not have a lovely corpse for a bride."

Mizrahi seemed momentarily distracted, before tearing his attention from Cassandra's telepathy.

captain paused, and followed Cassandra's trail.
"You're a psychic, gray woman. This is nothing new to us. We have a few ourselves, metahumans and posthumans. I would avise you to stay out of ours minds if you value your life."

Cassandra turned around, appearing surprised that someone would address her. There was no one else, however, that "gray woman" could mean. She stepped to the side just inside the doorway, so others could continue passing through.

"I am a telepath, yes, though 'psychic' is being a bit generous. Why, what did I do this time?" She appeared oblivious her actions in the previous room.

((Hattie can't get married without Ruby, ED!!!))

Hattie still stared at him, wanting to drag him back into the Star's Light for some.... "Down Time" but she knew that in her worsening condition, it would be as much a danger to him as it was for her. She grabbed the wrist of her bandaged right arm with her left and squeezed tight, wanting to feel something real and solid for a moment.

"Well, Doc, let's get this show on the road." She stepped up in front of the group, eager to be healed. "What'll this take? Five, ten minutes tops?" She chuckled softly.

"My part of the deal will take an hour at the most. The recovery, however, will be much longer." Johachim paused, seeming pensive, "The wounds from your illness will take time. I assume it's the fabled Terran Fruit Disease or some rabble. It's exact name has escaped me. It's one of the few illnesses that still eludes any real conventional care, mostly because of how limted of a slice of the populace it affects."

Captain paused, eying Cassandra coolly.
"You are a telepath. I would like to inform you that you need stay out of our minds. I need not remind you of what you did, or why you did it. Just don't do it again."

"Well, lucky for you, I have a spare hour. The faster you fix me up, the faster I can get my man in bed." She gave Eric a wink and quickly squeezed his hand with her good hand. "Show me where to go, Doc." She didn't trust Mizrahi, but she needed to be better. "And yeah, it's from the ********' fruit. Cheryl." She said with a hint of bitterness. "I was born with it."

Eric kissed her softly.
"We've offloaded the Refugees. You and Sigil stay here. I need to run back to the Gilgamesh and rescue those left behind."

Hattie smiled at the kiss. "Do you have to go?" She looked at him with the, "Please don't leave me alone with the crazy Doctor guy" in her big blue eyes. Sigil made another disapproving noise and then spoke. "Shouldn't you be here for this?" Sigil only kept Hattie's best interests at heart but it always came out harsh.

Before Eric could retort, she stepped between them. "Look, Eric has things to do and I'm almost nineteen years old! I can handle this." She snapped at Sigil. "You stay, Eric will go and I'll be with the Doc." She still had that look in her eye as shooed Eric away.

He kissed her again gently.
"I'll be back before he's done, babe. I promise. I still have work to do, but I'll be back."

captain's earpiece buzzed, the Siyrin's call on his ear. He simply muttered something unintelligible, and the same metallic voice that greeted Eric on his approach greeted Tu, and the Keep took control of their ship and steered it into the hold.

Before Eric could slip away, she pressed her Comm into his hand. "My Crew is on their way. Keep in touch with them." She let her hand linger a moment longer before turning back to Mizrahi. "Lead the way, Doc." She began to cough again, the same blood and black gunk spilling into her hand as she coughed.

She looked at Captain with some pity and some embarassment. "I'm afraid it's not that simple... I don't have much control over that. I can't 'turn it off' or stop doing it, and often when I'm distracted the power will run away from me. It's like it has a mind of its own, I do or say things to people without knowing about it. Whatever it was this time, I'm sorry... as usual." She blushed faintly. "But it's not something I can stop. The doctors tell me that's because it's tied to my subconscious or something... I swear I don't do it on purpose."

((Ruby will be happy to attend the wedding, no worries there. It might take some persuasion to get the angel to accompany her, though.))

After the Siryn was docked by the keep, Tu stepped out of the ship. She was looking slightly flustered, her stark black and silver uniform a little more rumpled than its usual pristine condition. Her curls were also a hanging out of the clip here and there, something that she would have fixed, if she had bothered to notice.

"I need to speak to the gilgamesh refugees," she said to anyone in particular.

Captain paused, reguarding Eric only briefly as he all but ran to his ship, his worry growing ever-more evident on his face.

"Come with me, miss...?" Captain paused, waiting for Tu to provide him a name.
