Mik stumbled after Levi, caught a little off guard by the sudden jump from the back of the truck. He followed Levi down towards the harbor. Towards the nicely kept docks, families sitting on the edge of a rickety pier catching bass, and the smell of the fishermen leaving for their day's work, crab boats and nets piled high on their boats, empty and smelling of the promise of a good haul.
There certainly wasn't a shortage of boats for Levi to choose from. Big ones, little ones, speedboats, cruisers, sailboats and fishing vessels even a few little rowboats like they had at home.
Mik grinned at Levi. He knew this was the pirate's heaven. Only thing better would be when he was on the boat for himself.

Levi scanned them all, but his face slowly fell. Big ones, little ones, speedboats, cruisers, sailboats and fishing vessels...none of them his ship.
"What...what do ya think?" He looped one arm around Mik's slender shoulders, pulling his mate close for a personal conference. "They're ah...kind of little. Eh?"
He sounded vaguely disappointed, voice cracking for a moment into a deeper, sadder tone. Really, he'd been expecting something more impressive. This was a ship yard, after all! Shading his eyes from the sun with one hand, Levi sighed.
"An too white...."

"Color s'not important, Levi. We can paint. But if y'want bigger..." He squinted up at the pirate, considering. "Y'ever considered a custom boat? Built for you?" He didn't think that there'd be many piraty style boats about, and he supposed Levi had a point. What kind of pirate would he be, jetting around in a speedy little catamaran?

"Custom?!" In truth, no, he hadn't really thought about it. Staring out to sea, rubbing at his bottom lip absently, Levi considered the possibility. One single thought jumped out at him, strong enough to make his nose wrinkle. "Take too long. Wannit now."
Sighing, Levi draped one arm over Mik's shoulders, unfairly resting some of his weight on the lad. At least it was a nice day, the water was blue, and the sails were white and billowy...
Billowy? Levi's blue eyes widened slowly, and he hugged Mik closer with one arm. "Oy, look!" Bit of jewelry chimed as he thrust out one finger to point, the line of his arm heading far out to sea. Just approaching from around the curve of the harbor was a ship...a real ship, with lovely masts and white sails and oh! Levi sucked in a breath through his teeth, and let it out in a slow whistle.
"Thatt'n! What d' ya think, love?" Despite the fact that it HAD to be a historical vessel, or some such, Levi set his sights upon it and didn't look away. That was it! That was HIS SHIP!!

Mik whistled under his breath, attempting to mirror the type of long and low whistle that the pirate excelled at. It didn't come over quite as well, but it was a decent approximation. It was a beautiful ship, old, but well maintained, and so Levi.
So Levi that Mikhael frowned a little. Certainly, ships like that didn't appear in real life. Not even here in Gaia. He scratched his chin, and looked up at the pirate, about to warn him about the inevitable problems that'd be involved with getting a ship like that, if it was at all possible.
But then he saw it.
The look on Levi's face was one of such amour that he'd never seen on the pirate's face before. Not with a woman, not with family, never before. He knew that it'd be foolish for him to even try and dissuade Levi. And...possibly hurtful. So he shut his mouth again, and just smiled, and swallowed his Declan-like exclamations of examination and precision. Who was he to tell Levi what to do? When Levi really wanted to, he could do anything. Mikhael'd seen that for himself.
