Saya's heart started to race again as soon as the man picked her up. He seemed to do it with such ease, without any struggle. Though of course she was very thin for her age. She didn't much like to eat big amounts. She'd often heard people refer to her as a bird, because she pecked at her food. She didn't mind though, she ignored their comments. Now as she listened to the stranger, whom's name she didn't know yet, she started to get a little hope. She nodded to his response and wiped away any traces of tears in which she had before. She found herself yawning, the stress of her fear tired her out constantly, and today wasn't an exception. Her head drooped a little bit against his chest.

Leo smiled slightly as she relaxed more in his arms, drooping a little in exhaustion. Yes, when he turned away her helpers, she would think that they just deserted her, and he would be there to comfort her, and assure her that she was better off with him anyway. Holding her closer as he meandered up the winding stairway and to his room. She could stay there, for now, with him while he took care of her ankle. He'd get another room set up for her, but since his was the only one right now without dust and an empty feel, he'd let her stay there. With her against him the way she was, he could feel her heartbeat as it raced even though she seemed to trust him just enough that he could take her upstairs without her flipping out.
"Don't worry," He continued cheerfully in his calm voice, "I'm sure they're almost here already. But that doesn't mean that we can't get your ankle taken care of." Opening the door to his room, he carefully brought her in and placed her on the bed.

Saya started to wonder now how long it would take for her friend to come back with help, or if she would come back at all. Her heart raced a bit more in her worry. Dispite Leo's calming words, she couldn't help but think of the worst, as she often did in stressful situations. She found herself now being put down on a very comfortable bed, and aching to be held once more. She was scared of the whole situation, and even the stranger's touch gave her comfort at this point. She looked up at him and gave a shy smile. "Th..thank you...um.. I'm sorry, I don't suppose you could tell me your name could you?" Saya asked him.

He had turned away to think of something to care for her ankle when she asked for his name. Astonished, he realized that he hadn't given her his name, and he swiveled around with a gentle smile, his cape swirling around him. "My dear, I hadn't even thought of introductions. My apologies. My name is Leo." If he had a last name, he had forgotten it long ago, and he smiled indulgently at her. "And what is the name of the beautiful angel who had dropped in to visit this lonely gentleman in his old home?" Kneeling, he moved to take off her shoe carefully. The ankle was angry and red, and he could feel the heat from it through her socks. But that was good, the fever meant her body was fighting off any infection. She had a strong immune system. Good.

Saya gave off a small blush at his comment. "I am far from an angel...Leo" She said somewhat hesitantly, thinking upon all the times where she was really concidered an angel for her actions. She to a quick note to realize that dispite her adventures with her friend, she was always a goody two shoes. She didn't mind it though. Now with a small smile, she looked to him. "My name is Saya" She said, sparing her last name since he spared his. She let off a small whimper as he started to take off the now very tight shoe and sock on her ankle. It was then that she also realized she was feeling a bit feverish, but perhaps it was the excitement of the events that had just happened to her.

"Saya." He breathed her name as if it were the very air that he needed, feeling the way it rolled around his tongue and melted like honey in his mouth. "What a beautiful name. Certainly beautiful enough for such a beautiful girl." He smiled at her, pressing the feeling of security and warmth around her so she wouldn't want to leave, even if her friend came. His golden eyes returned to her ankle and he carefully stripped the sock off as well. The angry red and purple swelling that greeted him made him tilt his head curiously as if he hadn't seen something like this before, then he smiled. "It's not broken." He leaned down and kissed the bruised area gently before putting her foot down and standing. "I'll get cold water to help with the swelling. Try not to move it." With that, he turned and went into the adjacent bathroom and started to rummage through things, finding a small metal tub that would be perfect for soaking feet. While it sat in the tub filling with cold water, Leo looked for another thing. The salve that he used time and time again to heal other wounds.

Saya listened to her name being repeated by Leo. Was it her or did he say it as if he- naw, she had to be going crazy, at least that is what she made herself think. As he complimented her, she blushed just slightly more. "You're too kind" She said softly in disbelief at his words. She gave off a small hiss at him taking off her sock from the pain, but was glad to hear that it wasnt' broken. She was going to respond to him when he walked off into what sounded to be a bathroom by the running water.

When the tub was filled, he lifted it with one hand, not seeming to realize that it might look strange he was able to do so, and held the salve in the other, before making it back out into his room. "Now." He looked around, placing the salve on the nightstand. "I think a low chair would work to put this on." He grabbed the one by his desk and set it up carefully by her foot, placing the foot-bath that was filled with icy water on top of that. "There, now you should be able to place your foot in it with no problem. If you feel like you must, you may lean back on the bed." He leaned down and lifted her foot gently, not allowing her to do it herself, and placed it in the cool tub. With her feverish foot, the water would feel mildly cool, her nerves would be numb and she'd probably only start feeling the cold when her foot had been cooled down itself. "I forgot bandages. One moment." He swept back into the bathroom, looking for what he had been told was an 'Ace Bandage' the last time he had gone out to get supplies.

Saya waited patiently for Leo to arrive once more into the room. When he had, he was oddly balancing a tub of what she assumed to be full of the water that she heard not too long ago. She watched as he moved and listened to what he had to say, even as he moved her foot carefully for her. The water did indeed feel cool, but it was a little comforting. She watched again without a word as he left her once more.

When he returned again, he smiled at noticing she hadn't moved much. Not only was she soft-spoken and easily frightened, she was obedient as well. While he was sure that somewhere in her tiny body there lurked some sort of monster as it was with most females, he was certain he could deal with the monster that this girl would have, he doubted it would be very big. Kneeling by her foot he looked at it in the tub. "Let me know when you can start to feel the water as cold. I don't want you to catch a fever as well." He smiled at her gently. It had been a long time since he'd had anyone in his home, though, and he was slightly uncertain of how to treat her. Was he talking strangely? Was he too friendly? Too distant? Did he touch her too much? He wanted to be sure that what hew as doing was everything that would make her feel better, and not feel frightened of him.

Saya watched as he came back in and looked at her foot. "Alright" She said softly with a shy returning smile. He was so kind to her, a stranger. It seemed like he truly cared about if she were to be alright or not. "Thank y...you" She said in a slight whisper. "Y..you're very k..kind to me" She said once more in her soft, shy tones. She looked at him for a moment before returning her gaze quickly to her foot.

Leo smiled at her. "Well I couldn't leave you there by yourself, especially not in my home. It would be cruel, and I've never been a cruel man." He stood and looked down at her before glancing at the door. He didn't hear anyone yet, and that would give him the time he needed to care for her foot and tempt her soul to want to linger. Brushing his fingers through his hair, the man asked curiously, "Are you thirsty at all? Hungry? I can get you some food, if you wish."

Saya kept her eyes on her foot as he spoke. "H..honestly i'm a little hungry....but I wouldn't want to impose" She said with a little frown. She didn't want to take up anymore of Leo's time. She felt as if she intruded enough, sneaking to places she shouldn't be, and using his rooms for herself. She felt guilty.

Leo smiled gently at the girl. “Don’t worry about it, little one. It would be no burden at all to get you food. After all, you’re now my honored guest, I couldn’t let you starve, could I?” He chuckled went to the door before turning back and saying, “Keep your foot in the water for now, when I come back, I’ll wrap it up, alright? The swelling should have gone down by then.” He paused before asking, “Is there anything in particular you want to eat?” He didn’t want to fix her up something, or go get something, that she wasn’t prone to eating. As it was, he didn’t have much food in his home anyway… it had been far too long since he had eaten human food. Thoughtfully, he noted to himself he’d have to get food now, and on a regular basis. If he were to have her as his mate then he’d have to take care of her very well, and that meant human food.

Saya smiled as he talked. He truly was too kind, just a bit too kind but she didn't mind too much. You didn't find men like him anymore, nobody wanted to be a gentleman like you would find in the romance novels or fairytales. "Actually, i'm not too much of a picky eater. Just as long as it doesn't have blueberries in them, i'm not very fond of blueberries" She said tilting her head with a small smile.
