Cherries eyes grew wide and she looked.. very shocked, almost shivered but then shakes her head and lets out a small laugh. "Yes, I understand what you mean!" The angelic female tried to stop breathing with her nose, due to the stench which happened to grow bigger and .. worse.

Mogwai chuckled to himself as he too began to breath only through his mouth. "I think we're getting close... Or I hope so at least. This stench is near unbearable," he said as the ground began to feel cool and moist underneath his paws and the grass began to seem taller and thinner.

She tried to limit her breathing now, as a small sound was heard.. "I'm hoping we wont faint! It's that bad." Ears twitched quickly as she turned her head to an unfamiliar sound, frowning.. "A fog now. The sky is becoming less and less visible.."

Mogwai's ears perked up as he heard a small rustling in the grass. He looked to where is had come from, but nothing remained. As Cherrie spoke of a fog, he looked up to see this sheet-like blanket of dense cloud falling towards them. He turned quickly as he hard the rustling again, and began growling as he saw the grass began to move, growing closer and closer to himself and Cherrie.

A beat began growing fast, her heartbeat to be exact. Cherrie began to breath quickly , ears flopping down and some of her teeth begin to press at her bottom muzzle. "This isn't pleasant, not at all...." She moves slowly towards Mogwai. ".... The grass is tall enough to hide anything dangerous to us--- you don't think what ever the blood came from.. it's from that.... whatever is here... do you?"

Mogwai flicked a glance at Cherrie before looking back at the approaching rustle. "I can't say for sure, but it's definably a possibility we'd be foolish to overlook," he said through gridded teeth, his ears flipping upward as all noises grew quiet, and the movement stopped. "Don't put your guard down, I'm going to check it out," he said as he cautiously began to walk towards where the movement had stopped.

Cherrie stayed at her spot,listening to Mogwai and.. not daring to move somewhat afraid of whatever is hiding. "Be careful.. it might still be hungry..!" She culdn't help but want to make sure he's going to be okay, but.. she just can't move currently..

"Ok," Mogwai called back as he stopped in front of the last place where the grass moved. He moved it carefully apart, revealing a small animal. It looked up with it's bloodshot eyes and nibbled on the bloody piece of fish it held in it's scrawny paws, before dashing another way. Mogwai sat down and looked at Cherrie with a half-hearted smile, before giving her a thumbs up. "It was just a small rat of some sorts."

"......." She looked down now, coughing. "Well, I might as well admit that I feel embarrassed!" She slowly walked up to him but looks slightly confused. "I wonder what that wretched smell is .. if it was just a rat and fish?" Tilting her head to the side, she looks back up to the sky, hidden now by the deep fog.

Mogwai thought hard for a second, before looking at Cherrie. "The smell's too strong to be just one mouse and a piece of a fish. There ought to be at least the rest of it somewhere along the shore," he said as he noticed the completely fogged sky. "I think it best we head towards to water, otherwise we could very likely become lost if the fog gets and closer," he finished as he sniffed the air, and began to slowly walk in a way towards the smell of water.

Slowly she nodded and began to follow him with cautiousness. Trying not to get distracted with the fog that seems to get thicker and thicker as they move towards the water. "I didn't even know that there was., any sort of lake or river around here, that is very.. curious." Her ears twitch at the light splash of water can be heard. "Have you ever been here before, Mogwai..?"

Mogwai shook his head as he walked, the ground becoming softer and pulling his paws in little by little. "This is the first time I've been to this place, quite peculiar it is. If it wasn't for the fog, I might even enjoy it some."

"Mn, yes, the fog is a bit too erie for my taste, and the ground.. too muddy! The setting is similar too a swamp. Not to mention the smell is worse than before." She scrunched her nose up, shuddering from the smell and both the cold draft of air floating by.

Mogwai nodded, slowing down as the mud began to deepen significantly. "Yeah, I wish to be out of this place as soon as we discover the source of the odor. I just hope to god that it isn't too much of a carcass, or whatnot, and that the smell doesn't increase much more. My nose can hardly handle the level it's at right now, and we must reach shore else we become forever lost in this fog."
