Mtima was up to her feet just a second before Amadet was, and she wasted no time in lunging forward- just too late to prevent the swat at Kiongozi was otherwise well aimed. The goddess was not much larger than your average lioness, and not much stronger- but she had her wings that added a bit extra weight and Amadet was partially distracted from what she was doing. This was going to end now.
Kiongozi caught herself in the air just a split second before seeing Amadet's paw coming right for her. She had no chance of getting out of the way, but did her best- getting hit fairly hard and flying far back from the pair of lionesses and hitting the ground with a thump.

Amadet yelped as she was struck down by the goddess and pinned there. She struggled, but only for a moment before giving up and glaring up at the yellow goddess with as much hate and fury as she could muster up. She'd lost, she wasn't going to get away from this so easily. All that was left now was for the goddess to finish this however she intended to, and Amadet could only see it ending with her death.
"What now?" she hissed.

It was a relief to pin the lioness, and she stood there holding Amadet down and catching her breath again. As unimpressed as she had been before, it was considerably deeper now. Foolish lioness, having no way out but to attack the goddess, trying to incapacitate her so that she might flee. She could see the look of hatred in Amadet's eyes, but it didn't matter now.
"Now, now I'm going to get up," she explained, "And you are going to get up. You are going to make up for what you did, and you won't be able to make things worse for them."

She wasn't going to die! She was going to live, she was going to be able to get up and walk away from here. The conditions of this were unclear, but Amadet doubted it would be so easy as the goddess trusting her to leave and not bother her cubs again. And why should she? The first place Amadet would go, whenever the damned goddess left.. it would be to the swamps, to convince her son and daughter that it was not how the goddess said. No matter how things really were..
She had no words, nothing to say. All that mattered now was whatever Mtima'safi said mattered. Amadet would get through this, and find a way back to the swamp.

Despite the look Amadet was giving her, Mtima had to get up and let the lioness up as well. They weren't going to get anywhere like this, and even if Amadet tried to run she wouldn't get very far. Mtima did not have very many physical powers, but she had enough on her side that she might be able to help keep this under control. Carefully, she got off of Amadet and moved away, and with her eyes on Amadet she backed up a bit to where she'd seen Kiongozi go off.
"There's no running now," she said, "And Kiongozi better not be hurt."

Amadet lay there for a moment even after Mtima got up and moved away. She knew there'd be no point running now, and only growled when Mtima felt the need to remind her of this fact. At the mention of the bird, Amadet couldn't help but smile smugly at the idea that she had finally gotten the bird back for all the trouble. It couldn't make things much worse if something did happen to 'Kiongozi'.
Rolling over, she got to her feet and hung her head.
"What exactly are you going to do?"

Mtima nodded, watching Amadet, and then turned around to check on the little avian. She found her with little trouble, and one look was enough to know she wasn't in any life threatening condition though she seemed to have been hit pretty good. The goddess folded her wings neatly on her back, and carefully lifted up the bird and settled her into the feathers so she could come along. She was vulnerable to predators if left out there alone, and especially now that she was hurt.. it would be a poor way to repay her for the help. She turned back to Amadet in time to see her stand up and ask what was to come.
"We're going to the Kunanda'Nakhun," she said, and turned to lead the way around the swamp and south to the area they sought.
