User ImageA white fan flared out to grab San's attention as she heard Natsu call out to her. Rising from her seat, the empress walked gracefully towards the edge of the balcony facing Arena 3. Standing in front of Kazuma, the woman's sheer scarf blew gently in the breeze that came up from the arenas down below. Putting both hands on the white stone that guarded the edge of the rail, San listened to Natsu's words of defeat. Closing her spring time eyes, the woman nodded. "Kun 'Kumo Kana from the Island of Shimagakure," she began a smile wanting to spread across her soft pink lips, but she kept her stone stature and steady gaze down below where Natsu was extending her hand to her opponent. "I hereby declare you as winner against Mizu Natsu of the Earth Country. I give you my best wishes in the second round," the woman said with a small bow of her head towards Kana down below and towards her announcer. As she turned to go back to her seat, the woman's yellow-green eyes passed over a small diplomat sitting in the balcony she was standing in. In less than a second, San knew that this man was no diplomat and was just a boy dressed up with a fake mustache. The woman did not say a word though as she merely kept walking, her guards close in range as she went back to her seat.

The woman sat down with her eyes closed as she thought about the winner of the first round. He used genjutsu beautifully as she witnessed his clones surrounding Natsu at the end of the fight. The woman had no doubt in her mind that the man to teach such skillful use of Genjutsu would have been no other than Uchiha Ichi. Opening her eyes, the woman looked towards another fight taking place in the Arena. A young girl with pale blue hair with the name Tenmoki.

Kazuma clearly didn't know which one wasn't a clone either it had just been a distraction to get his hands on one of those gems, ofcourse he wouldn't let the ladies know that. " Bwahaha! Lord Moostash knows it all! " He cackled loudly. " But if Lord Moostash tells all there is no fun in the guessing!" Finishing with another over exaggerated cackle he hoped that would satisfy them. Kana's victory was no surprise, there was no doubt in his mind that big brother would be able to beat her. " That one is strong like a Moostash!" A round of applause for the victory was all he offered even though he wanted to leap up and call out to his brother, besides he wasn't quite ready to leave the company of these lovely ladies and there would be more fights to come. Now questions about Moostash's fighters were being thrown at Kazuma it was almost like they were trying to expose him as a liar. " Lord Moostash did not bring his warriors! The Moostash clan already knows it's warriors are the best! Lord Moostash is here instead to see what the other warriors of the land have to offer! " He roared in outrage, pretending to even be offended by the idea that his make believe warriors would even be challenged here.

Walking upright with his head held high the Kun' Kumo approached the Hanton guard with a smirk of happiness. "I've just won my exam, sir." Kana explained, pointing to where he had just ascended from. "I was instructed to come here and so I may receive my prize." He continued as he started to slowly take a few steps past the sentinel. Walking down the long hallway he stopped and saw the woman who had been speaking and a short man surrounded by many weapon that were giving him whatever he desired. The Kun' Kumo rubbed his auburn hair for a moment trying to think where he had seen the person before, and what he was doing in the inner stadium. Paying the man respect he gave him a small and quick bow before moving on towards the woman. "Mam." Kana said as he gave her a deep respectful bow, peeking over at the man and his three servants. "I have arrived to collect my prizes." The genin announced as he looked her straight in the eyes but with a slightly tilted head. Money and wine would soon be his as soon as he received his prize but, that soon slipped his mind as the blue haired girl caught his eye and he instantly knew it was Aya. Even from so high up he could make out her scantily clad outfit as she fought her opponent. She had began growing breasts and Kana would catch a peek at them at any opportunity.

San did not rise to meet the winner against Natsu as he approached her quaint throne. Instead, she remained seated, sitting tall without even leaning against the back of her ornate chair. Without even a smile, San turned her head towards her left as a servant walked up to Kana and offered him the bottle and a silky bag full of Ryo. San then turned her attention to where Kana was looking. "Tenmoki Aya is a peculiar one with such a technique," San began, knowing that the boy was probably checking on his fellow Islanders rather than the opponent she was facing. "You are also a fascinating one," the woman added on as she turned her yellow green eyes to Kana with much curiousity in them. San had wanted to speak to the Kage of Shimagakure in order to gain information, but she thought that a pupil of Uchiha Ichi was just as good. "Come, sit with me," San instructed the boy as she raised a delicate hand towards the ornate chair to her left that sat one step lower than her own seat. She gave the boy a moment to settle himself before she continued. "You were a student under Uchiha Ichi, I can tell," San said with a soft smile as she turned in her chair to speak with the Kun 'Kumo. "You masterful skill of genjutsu at such a young age is well noted just as his was," San said to the boy as if she had known Ichi very well, but in all the years that Shimagakure had been in existence, San had not been to the Island once. She had not left the Earth Country since the development of Shimagakure. There were many questions she had about the outside world and especially about Shimagakure. "Tell me... What happened to Ichi?" San asked Kana, her springtime green eyes boring into his as she yearned for the information that he may have.

Taking the bag of Ryo and the bottle of wine he felt as though he was a rich man, with a bag full of money in the right hand and a bottle full of great wine in the other boasting about his accomplishments. Kana chuckled a bit as he listened what she had to say, especially about Aya and himself. "If you think were good apart, you should see us fight together." Kana said in a rather full of himself tone as he placed the Ryo in one of his belt compartments. He sat in the lower seat next to the very beautiful woman and placed his wine on the ground beside him. The Kun' Kumo felt like a young child looking up out of a large chair to San, where she sat upon a quite luxurious seat adorned with only the finest and most polished objects and toted the most elegant engravings. The first subject that the woman mentioned was his sensei, the great and powerful Dark Flame. The young man shook his head in acknowledgment to her as she stated he was one of the powerful mans pupils. Kana could only think of Mugendai Valley as she spoke, with the petrified man all alone in a dark cavern waiting for the time he would be revived. He turned his head from her, his auburn hair whipping around like a mop as he did so. "Ichi-Sensei. . ." Kana began to speak but couldn't force the words out of his throat. It felt as though a large stone was clogging his air passages and restricted him to breath, what was he to tell this lady who was clearly a dear friend or a conniving enemy of the Uchiha. "He's ugh. . ." Kana said lightly as he began to look back up at her. Two years ago when he was on the adventure to find Ichi he thought that everything would be fine after that. Things would just magically snap back to normal and they would have their Kage back. Things were very different though, and he had become a bit sensitive to the subject outside of their home in the grass country. "Between a rock and a hard place right now." The Kun' Kumo said with a hint of humor, trying to down play the situation he was in at the moment. "How did you know him?" Kana asked curiously, his own multicolored eyes searching in her vibrant green ones for some sort of answer.

User ImageSan smiled at Kana's boast about his and Aya's teamwork. "I can only imagine," the woman said with a bittersweet smile as the thought of a man wielding genjutsu and a woman wielding ninjutsu side by side reminded her of memories drifting farther into the past. As Kana kept his bright disposition with her, San could tell that the boy was saddened by his former sensei's death, but there was also something else. The way he said 'between a rock' would give way that Ichi was in his burial, which almost all of the Mainland had come to learn of over the two and a half years that Ichi had not been in this world. As Kana returned a question to the empress, she smiled and went to the golden ornate bracelet on her wrist. "I've known Ichi since I was a young girl," the woman said softly as she released the bracelet around her wrist to let Kana view a deep black tattoo that seemed rather out of place on such fair and delicate skin. "I was to start Shimagakure with him," San said as she let the tattoo come fully into view. It was the village's symbol of unity; the infinity circle. With her free hand, San traced the circle several times with her manicured nails decorated with tiny gemstones. "When I heard of Ichi's death, I couldn't believe that anyone in the world could stand face to face with him.. And to be defeated?" the woman paused as if the news had just hit her for the first time once again. "I've done much digging around to find out what happened to Ichi," San had sent her private guard to investigate the battle in the Orochi Swamps. She had sent spies into the Rice Army to learn of the second attack in the ruins and the slaughter of the small army that had been stationed there. Bringing her warm yellow-green eyes to Kana, the young man could tell that they were moist with tears of remorse. "I believe it was you that recovered Ichi from the ruins he had fallen in," the woman said delicately, referring to the mission Kana had gone on two years ago to save Ichi's petrified body. "I'd like to visit his grave some day, if you would be so kind as to let me," San asked Kana, oblivious that Ichi was not truly dead yet, but thinking the boy had gone back to the Orochi ruins in order to give his sensei a proper burial.

The thought of San knowing the founder of Shimagakure as a young man intrigued the Kun' Kumo and created a mental image of an adolescent Uchiha with unkempt snow white hair and his female companion San, who looked somewhat the same as she did presently. Her youthful complection almost surprised him as he surmised she wasn't that many years behind or ahead of Ichi, and thought to himself she looked almost to be only a few years older than himself. Craning his neck Kana could see dark ink embedded into her forearm that sharply contrasted against the woman's beautiful bronzed skin, branded on her arm was the emblem of infinity and the island communities identity. For a moment the young man sat in awe at the proof, his body slumping over as if it weighed many more pounds than his muscles could comprehend, and he gawked as her fragile finger reproduced a shadow of the outline. The shinobi's noticeably less tanned fingers gripped the arm of his chair as she spoke, regurgitating a story he had heard and told many times before to himself and to others. Nodding his head with a dismal expression towards the golden haired woman he listen to what else was to be discussed. Kana understood that the woman had many skilled servants at her disposal but didn't ever suspect that Aya and himself were being investigated in association to Ichi's petrification. "Mhm. . ." Kana answered and gave a proud nod to the woman, then began to elaborate on the subject. "With our fellow islander, Aya and I tracked down our Sensei." Pausing for a moment the auburn haired young man slipped his fingers into his utility belt, plucking his headband from a compartment and displayed it to San before continuing to say in a bold voice. "Not only for ourselves but for Shimagakure." Clamping his fingers tightly around the dark fabric and shiny metallic head plate Kana spoke in a more confident but also hopeful tone towards the powerful leader. "Heh, he's not there yet. But it does seem like he has one foot in." Quickly he lurched forward with a faint ambitious smile and asked something that may be vital to his Sensei's revival. "Currently he has been transformed into solid stone, but we are researching a cure. Do you perhaps have any way of helping us in our endeavors?" His eyes searched the lime green pools that San bore between golden locks, pursuing any encouraging hints that might have been displayed.
PostPosted: Tue Jul 07, 2009 5:11 am

User ImageThe metal of the headband reflected brightly onto San's face as her spring time eyes admired the piece of metal. "You've taken good care of it," San complimented him as her hand reached out and touched the fabric and then ran over the metal. San's interest truly perked up when Kana made his next statement. 'He's not there yet...' Those words rang in San's mind like an alarming bell. She was speechless as to ask what the young man meant, but he was already telling her. For the first time in many years, something had moved San to the edge of her seat. There was a chance to see Uchiha Ichi again and this boy was asking for her aid to do so. With her heart racing, San grabbed onto the young Kun 'Kumo's hand and squeezed it tightly with both of hers. The mere thought of having a chance to revive the Kage of the Shimagakure gave her a joy that the woman would not be able to explain with words. "Of course. Of course," she said through a wavering voice as she tried not to choke up on tears. "I will send with you my best scientist and herbalist. However, you must take me with you to where Ichi is once this tournament is concluded," San insisted as she loosened her grip on Kana's hands. The Empress had not left the Earth Country in seven years, but she was more than ready to leave her vibrant country in the hands of her advisers.

The sounds of explosions made the tower that everyone was sitting in shake and rumble. "My empress! Explosions have gone off at the base of the inner circle," a soldier reported quickly just as the woman below on the stadium floor which Tategami Maya had been fighting began to call everyone's attention. The soldier standing next to the empress tightened his grip on his sword as the woman boldly called Shinobi dishonorable. "There's someone in the Gear Works!" another soldier called up to the balcony where San and Kana had been talking. "I'll go my lady!" the soldier who had been gripping his sword tightly said.

Standing up in her chair the moment the explosions went off, San's moment of happiness and peace talking with Kana was over. The thoughts of Uchiha Ichi had been forcefully put aside the moment she felt her people were in danger. Her warm green eyes turned cold with intensity as she saw the black smoke rise up from the arena floors. A mere three bodies emerged from below and called up to her. As the soldiers sent her reports, San merely glared at the woman standing on her stadium floor. San brought up her hand, letting the infinity tattoo be seen by all that looked her way as her guard wanted to take action and stop the person in the Gear Works. "No," she said, watching as the bold woman on the floor fought against her soldiers. An immediate measurement of skill had been weighed by San's eyes. She knew that her guards that had lived in this peaceful Earth Country for so long were no match against these intruders who called themselves the Samurai Order. "Kana, as I will aid you, please aid me," San asked, turning to the young man as she requested with those brief words that he go down to the Gear Works and investigate the intruder.

Down in the Gear Works of the Arena's inner circle a single man was cursing to himself. "Fsck....Shft...Bstch..." the man hissed at himself as he hopped from gear to gear in the shadows. He had planted more explosions than just three! Four had defaulted and not gone off when Takeo and pumped the fuse to blow. Shura was raging mad at him and he hadn't been allowed to take the floor with the other three to declare their war on the shinobi. "Gwd...Fscking Shura..." Takeo mumbled to himself as he threw back his head while climbing up to his explosive. "WHY ME!?" he cried out with a visible pout on his face as his head tilted into the light. His hair was bright red and his eyes had a yellow hue to the usual white of the eye. His skin was also a awkward yellowish color. On his back was a bow made of bamboo and several hand crafted arrows. Once he was up to the pile of strapped bombs, he found that his fuse had fallen out. "Why did you fall!?" Takeo asked the fuse as he pounded the side of his fist against the stone pillar he had gone up. "I'LL FIX IT SHURA!" Takeo yelled out, not afraid if any Earth Guards came running towards him. He could take them on! He'd make them squeal! It was all good. He would show Shura. He hoped they came, but first he had to fix his fuse.

Sans fingers ran smoothly over the tempered steel and silky cloth of the headband that the Kun' Kumo was holding as he asked her the biggest favor he had ever asked someone in his whole life. If this woman agreed to help Aya and himself in researching a cure for Ichi he would have a better chance of being saved. With an ecstatic smile Kana thanked the empress for her help and placed his headband around his head. "I will take you there immediately following the end of the event." Kana promised. Looking out at the fight where Aya and her opponent was he heard a loud bang that could be heard for miles. A loud ringing hindered his hearing and the young man fell from the tremors of the blast. Raising up from the ground he looked over the edge of the stadium to see bits and pieces of the stadium were strewn about on the arena floor. Quickly guards yelled out orders and scurried around the empress for her protection, but it seemed like she had other plans. She instructed the Shimagakurian to go down to gear works and see what was going on down there. "Yes mam, I'll pursue the intruder." With a quick nod he replied and would swiftly be on his way. Running down the stairs at a fair pace he could see a gap between a section of the stairs. Stopping before the broken section he inspected the missing portion to see how long of a jump it was. Taking a literal leap of faith the young man lurched forwards towards the other end and made it safely without rolling down them to his death. Exiting through a large portion of missing wall he saw a man tinkering with what looked like a bomb. "Hey you!" Kana cried as he pointed at the man. "Stop!" The Kun' Kumo shouted as he charged towards the man, hoping to disable him before he could cause any more damage or danger to stadium. Swinging swiftly the shinobi threw a right jab towards the enemies jaw and then followed by extending his left leg in an attempt to kick the side of his stomach.

Takeo had been so absorbed in his work that the shout from the Kun 'Kumo that echoed off the gears did not reach his ears until it was almost gone. "Stop?" Takeo asked himself finally absorbing the word just in time to lift his head up to get a jab sent to his jaw. Takeo's world spun and then was forcefully stopped as a blow cracked against his side. Falling from his spot where the bomb was, Takeo hit the floor on his knees and toes. "ARhcka!" the spiny man coughed and cried in pain as he held his side and re-arranged his jaw. "Hahaha..." he started to laugh while staring at the floor he had fallen too. "HAHAHA!" the laugh changed into something much more maniacal as he threw his head back to look up at the auburned haired shinobi standing on the gear he had just been on. "Stop? Stop!? I will blow all you shinobi away! Far, far away!" Takeo screamed up as he quickly got to his feet and started sprinting as quickly as he could away from Kana and to the next pillar where another of his charges had not gone off. As he ran, the bright red haired man pulled his bow off his back and grabbed a single arrow. As he jumped up to a gear, he turned his entire body towards Kana and released an arrow.

Both crushing blows met there marks on the Samurai's body, halting his work with the bomb that he was tinkering with. Whilst he was on the floor Kana was tempted to jump on top of him and attempt to take him into custody and back to the empress after only two strikes. "C'mon your-" Kana stopped mid sentence as the man began laughing hysterically like a madman in a psych ward. His cold piercing words weren't enough to scare the Kun' Kumo though and pursued his enemy along the wall of the stadium. He could see the man jerking his body around in mid flight and retracting an arrow with the intention to launch it at Kana. Focusing on the projectile intensely the young man did his best to step away from the missile's path but allow him to swiftly return to chasing the intruder. "You won't blow us away if I can help it!" Kana said as he ran along the arena, hoping that his enemy would trip or something because at the pace his opponent was setting there was no way for the teen to catch up. The shinobi must have taken his eye off of the arrow for to long and not focused hard enough because it ripped and tore through fabric and flesh like a lions claws, glancing the young mans right shoulder and leaving a severe slash that drained blood onto his white vest and crimson shirt. Wincing in pain he stumbled for a few moments, gripping his shoulder in aggony and applying pressure to his wound. Kana looked up to see the Samurai nearing the gear and the bomb and there wasn't anything he could do to stop him at the moment.
