Keres flickered an icy and spiteful glance over at the teacher, and then looked back at the captive next to her.
"And I'm hating you right now," she hissed in reply and moved out of her sitting position. She kept her grip on him for a few seconds while he tried to tussle free, but eventually gave in and snapped, "Walk," into his ear as she pushed him slightly ahead of her towards the group of gathering kids and nagging teacher.

Kisala grew a little bored waiting for everyone else to get their acts together-- why were they here if they were so unhappy about it anyways? Why couldn't they just enjoy themselves! This was supposed to be fun!-- and decided to try dancing around a bit on her own, music or no music.
She left the group of kids and spun about like the ladies in the New Year Festival ceremony. She could totally do this! She'd be the best dancer in the whole place, if they gave her half a chance! She didn't know why she needed a partner, though. As far as she could tell, the closest thing those ladies had had to a partner was a ribbon or a fan.
They'd been really pretty, though...she wandered back over to the instructor, her eyes wide, "Are we gonna dance with fans?" she asked. Mama had said probably not, that they were going to do more 'western' dancing, whatever that meant, but maybe they had fans in 'western' dancing too?
