I love it! I am all for same-sex marriage. The problem is that this country is run by the Judeo-Christian majority, and they will never allow such a thing to come to pass. Oh, they may quote the bible, scripture, and things along that line, but the truth is, it nauseates them to think of two people of the same sex in a relationship together. I do believe that same-sex marriage will one day be legal, but, I do not believe it to be this day. Our only chance for such a law to pass is to wait until our generation is in conrtol of the country, when th ose who are truly symapthetic to our needs are in a position to do something about it.

I LIVE IN MISSOURI....and they didn't make smae sex marriage legal... I live in the most homophobic state in the whole world ahhhhhhhhh ITS SCARY I CAN'T COME OUT OR A RAID OF CRAZY BAPTISTS FROM MY CHURCH WILL COME WITH BAZOOKAS AND FLAME THROWERS AND KILL ME.... so yes i sign the petition....is same sex marriage legal in japan? pm me if you know..

Dark_Fairie I think that it would be wrong if the didn't legalize same sex marriages. If two people are really in love then it shouldn't matter what gender they are. Love is Love, it's that simple. And if two people of the same sex are in love then it shouldn't be any different than two people of different genders! I gladly sign ^_^ Yes I agree, here in Toronto it is completely legal and many people have gotten married, which is wonderful...It is actually legal in all of canada 3nodding

Desirable Ai Please keep in mind that the whole time you are reading this post, I have nothing against same sex marriages.
On my plane ride back here to Texas from Tokyo, I was listening to the radio. I was changing through the stations and all of a sudden I heard the statement "Same sex marriages". I decided to listen to it for a while, trying to get information.
I've found out, that even if it was to become legal, churchs will not be part of the wedding. They've said that for many states now, so tell me.. what is the point of same sex marriage in America? It's just going to cause bad discussions between everyone, and no matter whether it's legal or not, people will not go with it. I'm not going to sign this for many reasons. I can't say that I'm against same sex marriages, so that's not one of them. But good luck on trying to make it legal, because I highly doubt that it's going to work. Over half of the country dislikes it, so nothing is going to change. Here in Canada we've said that to but in the end The gay marriage act was passed, though we know that churchs wont do it, i more or less don't plan to get married in a church much less here in canada if my girlfriend and I are together after High School, once I'm done College we're gonna be leaving Canada and moving to Japan, since my girlfriend wants to be a animator and I know she'll do well in that bussiness. Anyways for whatever country this petition is for I'll sign it. 3nodding
