"Is there a problem?" he asked her. "I was just teasing you, you know. I apologize if it was too harsh." He picked up the second half of his sandwich and started to eat. He still hadn't remembered her name. Maybe he would ask Chris later, he thought.

She shook her head, slowly looking back down at her pudding. No record player, now what could she do? Her artwork hadn't progressed since she made that picture for Harper, and she didn't know much else, other than singing.
She was unaware of the rate technology grew, and had heard little to none about iPods, CDs, or even portable DVD players. "S-so you don't have a record player? 'Cause I was thinking m-maybe, if you wanted to..." she began, before her voice died down. Her next idea would seem pretty out-of-the-ordinary, but if Antony was willing to at least listen, maybe it'd work out.

"Maybe I--" He stopped, glancing at his watch. "Oh, forgive me, but I need to go," he said as he stood, sweeping his trash up and putting the rest of his food in his bag. "I promised Delilah I would help her with something. Perhaps we can carry on with this later, um..."
Nope, it still wasn't coming to him. "Sorry," he said instead, smiling at her before turning to walk away.

So she sat there at the table, watching as he left with confused, hopeful, maybe even lonely eyes. Why did he have to leave so suddenly? Who cared if he was just a bit late?
"B-bye!" she called anyway, before looking down at her half-finished lunch. Who was this 'Delilah'? Whoever she was, she seemed to be more important to him than she was. Maybe they were going to go buy a record player!
