Bella blinked, confused at what Beni was talking about. The first thing she though of was that maybe that mocking bird had come back and bitten his tail. She couldn't see any bird on his tail as he lashed it around.
It wasn't until he held his tail up in front of her face that she could see the little fuzzy caterpillar on it. She chuckled a little and gently used her paws to remove it from his tail. "It probably thought your tail was a nice, tasty leaf!"

Benji retracted his tail and pet it gently.
"Evil little caterpillar. It should know what a leave looks and feels like. It spends time with them all day. My tail isn't a leaf, but I don't know if it is tasty..."
He popped his tail in to his mouth and sucked on it for a bit.
"Hm, it is tasteh! Don't blame him for that!"

Bella was wondering if Benji was going to be alright, and when he started talking if he tail was tasty and then proceeded to taste it himself! Well, Bella had a very confident feeling that he was going to recover just fine.
She started giggling as the caterpillar crawled up her leg, tickling her with it's little feet and being fuzzy in general. "See? It wasn't his fault!"

Benji spit out his tail and glared at the little bug.
"Right~ cause he doesn't know what he is doing."
He padded over to Bella and looked closer at the caterpillar. Benji sniffed at it a bit while poking at it. The little bug stopped for a moment before crawling on to his nose.
"Gah! He is tickling me!"

Bella giggled at the truth of Benji's statement. "I really don't think he does no better. Besides, it's not like a little bite will kill you, Benji!"
Her laughter grew a little louder as he started yelping about the Caterpillar tickling him. "I really did tell you so, didn't I?"

Benji wiggles his nose furiously, trying to make the little bug move away and hold in a sneeze. The caterpillar had plans of his own though, the stuck right on the male's nose, resting, sleeping, who knows, the little guy just stayed there, as if stting to watched the Benji's reaction for amusmnet purposes.
"Why isn't he moving?!"
Benjis stepped back and bit and shooks his head to see if that would work, but bad luck with the bug seemed to be with Benji.

Bella laughed more. "Calm down! You'll hurt yourself or the poor little caterpillar... or both!" She walked over and gently used her tail to push the little bug off of his nose and onto her paw again.
"There we go, now everyone's happy, right?" She smiled up to Benji.

Benji grumbled as he planted himself on the ground, every now and then glaring at the poor bug.
"Yeah yeah yeah, but he started it! Biting me when I was just trying to bring him over to you..."
He scartech his nose a bit.
"How long until that thing turns into a butterfly anyway?"

Bella smiled and sat down next to the moping Benji. "Oh, stop being such a sour puss. You have to remember who's the smarter being."
She held her paw up, judging up the little bug. "I don't really know how long it'll take him to grow. Though, based on how fat he is, I'd say he's about ready to make a cocoon or chrysalis soon..."

Benji groaned as he threw his head back a bit then lauched it forward in a dramatic sigh. He walked, more like tumbles and swayed, over to Bella and looked down at the bug.
The male cleared his throat and set his voice to overly dark and dramatic, with a bit of snobbiness.
"I would say, based on how fat he is, he might explode soon, or make a nice meal for that annoying little bird, but that is just my opinion."

"Oh be nice..." Gently Bella butted her head against his forehead. "Besides, he'll be beautiful as a butterfly. Maybe he'll be something rare!"
She walked on three of her paws, since the fourth held the fat-erpillar on it, and she made her way to a bush with really big leaves. "Here you go, little one. The perfect place to finish your metamorphosis." She smiled as the caterpillar made it's way onto the leaf, then turned back to Benji.

"Yeah yeah yeah..." Benji grumbled some as he made his way past Bella before turning his head towards her.
"Rare or not. He is still a vicious creature of pure evil."
The black male crouched down and launched himself in the air. his head turned every which way before he landed.
"This grass goes on for miles..."
Once more, he turned towards Bella.
"..You know the way out?"

Bella blinked, surprised with how high the male could jump, then nodded. "Yes, based off of where the sun sets and rises, I came from a bit of forest that was over in that direction." She pointed her paw off into the North East.
"How about yourself? You had to get here some how...."
