"My Mus companion, he was really intelligent that one," Olohan said as he worked between his preening and Silverbell's. He looked toward Sequoia, was he a skurri, to try to talk to the great Thunderbird?

"Thank you," he murmured, only afterwards to add - between booms - loud enough towards the crazy one poking his head out, "I'd be careful poking my head out like that. Though I'd doubt you'd mind. Perhaps you should straighten up a bit. We'll ride this out no problem."

Well... hopefully. Not like my territory faired well. Its a complete mess and I highly doubt that I'd recognize it after this fury, Olohan thought unhappily.

For this meantime - Olohan would be smart and sit tight. Not to mention relax as far as possible while listening to Silverbell. She was aptly named, according to the uprooted Sentinel as his eartufts perked in listening.

Sequoia paid Olohan no mind, as he remained fixated at the sky and the swaying of the world outside. The viciousness of the rain, the blasting of the wind that beat against all the world, and that long howl that sounded like pain.

"Was?" Sequoia said, picking up on the conversation once more and momentarily dropping the one with The Thunderbird. "What happened to your companion?" Sequoia asked, looking over his shoulder briefly to take account of his own companion, Basil. The little parus was off in the corner, drying off and preening, through trying it's hardest to stay away from the entrance by pressing into the corner.

Sighing, Sequoia turned about and made his way over to the parus, who at this time remained mute. Going over, he curled about the tiny companion and swept it in, giving it a mother's care by preening a wing of the bird and sweeping it in that Sequoia could have well sat on it like a little fledgling and kept it warm. Instead, he ushered Basil to his side and turned to regard them both, though his eyes started to linger to look back outside.

"He must be out there, hiding in some nook or cranny..." Silverbell said optimistically with a nod, almost barely heard above the rush of the wind across the entrance of the hollow. She still quaked slightly from the dizziness, but her body was slowly getting accustomed to the movement and she was now able to relax, just a little. Her ear tufts flattened at the sudden sound of the Thunderbird overhead.

Bell directed her attention to the brightly colored Parus, which obviously was Sequoia's companion. "What a pretty little Parus!" She commented.

Olohan eyeballed Sequoia a little bit before continuing, "Was, yes. Is - unsure of. My territory was blasted apart to say the least. And since I decided to hook up with a mus and not... Say a parus like you. There's no way that I could know what has happened to my- the little guy." The Sentinel got a little huffy about being only interesting if something bad was happening; what morbid thoughts did this stranger have swirling in his head?

The little spark inside Olohan was rising again like the Thunderbird himself, this caring attitude that has developed quite recently, unnerved the generally solitude loving Sentinel. He shuffled back and forth becomming slightly agitated with his feathers fluffing outwards.

"Thank you very much, Silverbell," Olohan felt comforted, if only mildly, adding to either who would answer, "How long will the Thunderbird continue with this?"

"Dear Noctus. That's terrible." Sequoia said, concern back just as suddenly as it took for lighting to strike. Looking over at Oolan, he shook his head. "Well, we'll just have to go find your friend once this storm settles. As for your home, I'm sure you will be able to find a new one. If it's one little blessing storms give is that they clear up trees and usually reveal new places to live. If anything, I offer my home to anyone who needs it." Sequoia said smiling brightly as he clutched Basil. The little parus seemed irked with being squeezed too tightly, though was use to Sequoia's over-the-top affection.

"Is Basil. I is." The bright companion chirped, speaking from Sequoia's side. The Sentinel perked up when he heard Basil speak. "Seems someone isn't too sick. This swaying is making me feel ill." He said, shaking his head and ruffling his feathers as if to shake off the feeling. "Basil, would you like to help Oolan find Egratz?" He asked, to which the parus debated for only a split second.

"Is kay. I can."

"I'm sorry about your territory," Silverbell said, shifting her feet to get comfortable again after a strong sway of the tree. "Like Sequoia said, we'll help you any way we can!" That was right, she couldn't stand to have him down like this.

Bell looked over at the Parus, a smile on her beak. "It's nice to meet you Basil." She fluffed her feathers out and preened a couple, appearing like a white feathery ball until they lowered. The swaying was making her sick again, though she tried to ignore it. "May the storm end soon.." she said quietly, after the thunderbird.

"Erm, well yes thanks again," Olohan stated, "Nice't meet you Basil." The Sentinel turned inward. There really wasn't anything he could do really. Being cooped up with the others weren't so bad but it sure was stuffy to him. Yes, the place was a good shelter, probably big and nice if he wasn't so preoccupied and of course if it was not storming out.

To pass the time Olohan continued to preen Silverbell slowly and efficently, as it were, it seemed to at least calm the both of them. His gaze followed Sequoia and outward beyond, always careful to not look towards the above when it was so close.

Basil chirped in agreement but went docile afterwards, taking luxury in the warmth of his owner and becoming a sunshine little fluff, reserving what little energy he still had. Sequoia watched, noticing how they all grew silent. The wind did nothing to help conversation as each howl and thunderclap interrupted talk and the fury of the storm only lowered spirits. Musing, Sequoia started to feel that sickness from the swaying creep more deeply into his system and he sat down, watching with a lax expression outside.

Dear Lilly. It would have been appropriate for the sky to wage war on the day of your passing. I would have lived a season of rain if the Thunderbird was there to have scared away your attacker. Clear days make me think of you, but it’s day like these that make he feel some relief. I guess I can only find some slight refuge in the sickening turmoil of a storm when the sky is congested with rain and clouds and I’m the sicker from the swaying. Still, I’d suffer to always have the world under by feet twisting about than those solitary nights when the ground is solid and I’m the sicker from the lack of you.

I wonder, if you hear the rain, wherever you are at.

Pulling away from the storm outside, his eyes coasted to the pair near him, with Olohan preening silently on Silverbell, both quickly taking comfort. Smiling, he tilted his head, watching them. “You two certainly make a fine couple.”

Silverbell, prompted by the silence of the hollow despite the noise of the storm (and getting used to listen over it) opened her eyes halfway, watching the storm outside. Her ear tufts twitched as the thunderbird called again. She soaked in the gentle preening, closing her eyes once more.

But they opened up wide again to stare at Sequoia. "Oh! Oh well....well.." she stuttered, not sure exactly how to take it. She ruffled her feathers and began to preen some of them herself.

"Well, no not really," Olohan began stiffly,"I mean, I'm certainly not looking." Olohan backed up rather quickly his wings held slightly away from himself, careening against the rocking of the shelter. It was very awkward, difficult. Half of him wanted to push his will outwards to Sequoia and out of the shelter, but this was his inner child throwing a tantrum - thinking of ew, cooties, and why did you say that?

"I don't think so," he reiterated uneasily, he cast a bleary eye at Sequoia, "Besides its just ... A nice thing to do for someone in distress." He bobbed up and down, smoothing out his feathers and keeping his wings close together since they had puffed up unexpectedly. Well... Silverbell was pretty. She sang really nice too.

After a moment he added, "In fact, had you not been too er, stand-off-ish I'd help you too..." Well that came out wrong... Olohan decided to close his beak and sit moodily in a corner for a while and ignore the whole thing that had just transpired. It usually worked for him when he was just a fledgling. Perhaps it would again, but his inwards thoughts swirled around, the spark of compassion thrown around an internal maelstrom like an internal stom of the outside.

Sequoia smiled, letting a brief chuckle escape him. "Now. Now. I didn't mean to distress you further." He said, gesturing how both where becoming flustered. Smiling, he started to walk over. "I was just saying. You both look well together. Just a thought. And why are you not looking? Tis the season." Sequoia pointed out with a light wave of his wing, indicating mating season had started. (Though Sequoia was never one to participate.)

Walking over, he watched them both. "I didn't mean to appear standoffish. Pardons. And preening sounds lovely, especially from such a handsome fluff." He pointed out, indicating how riled up Olohan had gotten. "I think it would be better for me to preen you. You seem to need it. Don't you think, Song?"

She looked from one Sentinel to the other. What an awkward subject to arise at this kind of night! Silverbell still wasn't sure what to think, and was kind of annoyed. She didn't know what she was annoyed about. Was it connection Sequoia made about the preening? Was it how defensive Olohan got at the accusation?

She tried to straighten it all out in her mind, when the visual of Seq coming over to preen Olo made her giggle in glee. She couldn't help but wonder how Olo would respond to such a suggestion!

"Well you certainly seemed so," Olohan opened up, whilst peering down and around at himself bad thoughts about in his head, "The season quite seems overrated at the moment, I'm sure you'd have no trouble though Sequoia," He seemed to smooth down a bit before trundling back over a smidge. It was a bit embarrassing to have been in such a spot. First mating season for him - t'would be the worst for the wear for the sentinel.

"We can all preen each other, but I suppose Silverbell and I could just work on you, since you haven't straighened out," Olohan seemed to shrug his owly shoulders as his ear tufts flicked around. It wouldn't be to bad. He wished he had his Egghead with him. Egratz was so good at helping - getting at those feathers Olohan himself just could not reach too well. He was sure the little mus wouldn't mind helping the others out as well.

There's a sudden distant peal of thunder that just keeps rolling on and on and on, as if somewhere out there, the rain has momentarily been replaced by lightning strikes. It seemed to come from the direction of the Deep Woods...

The tree has nearly stopped swaying now, and stars are twinkling overhead. The unfathomable space above them is both very beautiful and very frightening.

"Do I really look at that bad off?" He asked, turning and spreading his wings to look at himself and the damage to his feathers. Sequoia gave a light laugh, nodding. Olohan sure had some spunk to him and Song was a timid sweetheart that held her own wit. It was good to see them both becoming good natured and shy away from that apprehension that weather was placed all around them. Walking over, he was just about to take either one on the offer, finding it warming to know that they where all welcoming enough to aid each other.

It was then that the skies bursted in light, flickering white into their hollow and shaking the tree this way and that. Despite being an adult, Sequoia brought his wings close, feeling that Basil had flew quickly to hide under him, and shivered as if he was a newborn hatchling, cowering at the sound. It was deafening and the world was bright, casting light inside of his head. It went on for a while before it died, and the entire world felt mute. He hazards look up from his spot, breathing out. "...is it over?" He breathed out, heart fast in his chest.
