"I'm trying to avoid James at the moment," Sirius said, remembering his plight and beginning to dart his eyes around the room again. "I believe he's still chasing the lovely Miss Evans upstairs. As for the other two, I'm not sure. My guess would be that Remus is studying and Peter is eating... but I really have no idea."

Sirius shrugged. "Nah, I don't need any help really. But, if you do find a Snitch around here, catch it and come find me." Sirius smiled and stood up, giving Marketa's should a squeeze as he turned to leave.

Lily came into the Great Hall for something to eat (of course). She was in the mood for some pumpkin juice and whatever else there was to fill her somewhat empty stomach. She walked over and sat down at the Gryffindor table.

Marketa was a curious child. It couldn't be helped. She wanted to know if this girl beside her knew Sirius, or was just being friendly. She bit her lip, trying to restrain herself. She would not be that girl. You know, the one with the crush who had to be all possessive and paranoid and cross-examine every girl who looked at him. It nearly sickened her. I will not be that girl, will not be that girl, will not be...
"You know Sirius, yes?" she found her mouth saying on auto-pilot. Hey, mouth, what are you doing? "You date him, perhaps?"

Mar smiled and blushed a little bit. "I dtink I would. You seem nice." She chose to ignore the bit about her chances with Sirius. That was not what she was doing this year.
