----
Rain walked into the clinic. She looked around remembering when she met Were and her son Graham. Rain sat down in a chair and put her phone on vibrate. She was waiting to see if anyone was in the clinic today. Rain loved to talk and meet new/expecting mothers and children. "I should talk to Kazuma about having a child..." she said to herself. Kazuma was the man that she was just now getting married to. They had been dating three years now and Rain was thinking it was time to start a family.
Ceres carried herself well. No one would know she was relying on Sky's eyes. She scanned the clinic. It had been some time since she'd been in here. Let alone talked to anyone.
Rain noticed a young looking women walk in. Rain smiled and waved to her meaning it as a invitation to join if she would like. 'She has really long hair... It is a wonderful yellow/gold though.' she thought to herself.
Sky's motion was fluid. He made sure to take in every inch of the building for Ceres' sake. Once the lady's hand motion had caught his attention he smiled, and took Ceres' hand. "This way." But it wasn't something the other could understand. It was pure horse.
Ceres nodded her head when she felt the other's hand. "Thank you." Hers you could understand. It was human. She was careful now as she walked. She smiled at the lady. "My name is Ceres. And this is Sky."
"Hello Ceres and Sky." Rain said smiling. "Go ahead and sit down." She said pointing to the chairs next/around her. "I'm Rain. Rain Samiki. How are you two today?" she asked curiously. She reached in a purse and got her cell phone. She looked at it real quick noticing that there was a text message. She put it back and looked at the two.
"Please do excuse Sky. He's just here to escort me... Without him I wouldn't be able to see." Ceres said with a smile.
Sky continued to scan the room. The way he sat, showed he was always on guard. He wasn't use to this human body. Actually he thought it was rather absurd, but for Ceres...
"I'm as well as to be expected. A bit knotted up on the inside." Ceres crossed her legs at her ankles as she pulled her hair over her shoulder. She sat straight up, holding an air of perfect manor. She carried no purse, and had no pockets.
Ceres noticed the phone once Sky had glanced that direction. She chuckled softly. "We don't use those things were I come from. But, I do find them fascinating."
"I'm sorry.... My brother was blind... I'm sorry... I've been looking at my cell phone to see if my work calls. I'm a pediatrician. Are you having a baby?" she asked curiously.
Ceres laughed at the thought of being blind. She had never thought of it that way. Then again she never spent much time away from her island. "I'm not blind... I just don't see the way you see." She smiled. Her body language showed that she took no offense. "I see through the eyes of others. Hence my escort."
Ceres could tense Sky tensing when the question arose to the thought of having a baby. Of all the things that they had been together through... And, now this. "Well, we are hoping that the in vitro fertilization will work. It was one of the most embarrassing things I've done in all my 450 years of existence."
Ceres took a moment to settle herself. To make herself look more friendly. Like one of everyone else. She knew that most didn't do the things she did, and that she would stand out. "I grew up with Sky. He's doesn't normally look like this. Silly thing really... We thought maybe if we turned him human if might help to make sure the out come of the child is near as human as possible since he is a Pegasus." Her laugh was small, almost not heard. "Also thought it might look a bit strange to come in here asking for such things to take place when your partner isn't human... You know..."
Keeta stepped into the building, a shell-shocked expression on her face. In her hand was a business card that one of her new "friends" had given her. They had directed her here voicing the suggestion that perhaps the clinic could help Keeta with her new "problem," as the girl had called it. To so called "friends" like these, unintended pregnancies were inconveniences that should be dealt with ASAP, in a manner that Keeta wasn't willing to think about. Fortunately for Keeta, the girl who had given her the card wasn't informed enough to know that the GMFC was only interested in the creation of life.
Hesitantly, Keeta walked all the way into the room and signed in at the counter, before taking a seat a little ways away from the people already seated. She grabbed a magazine from the nearby table and flipped through the pages, but wasn't really reading any of them. Every once in a while, she would glance up at the others, vaguely wondering if any of them were as uncertain as she was about what was going on in her life.
Rain smiled. "That is a wonderful story..... You two must be in love...." she said as she did the happy sigh. "I mean.. To change your appearance (into a human) that has to take love." she said smiling. Rain looked across the room and notice another women walk in. She waved and meant it as a invite like she did with Ceres. Rain smiled happily to herself. She had never met so many people in one day.
"Love... It isn't something I really understand. Well, except the love I have for my children." Ceres smiled. "I'm sorry you'll have to excuse me." Ceres stood up gracefully. "I feel as though I'm needed. Duty and all."
"Alright." she said smiling. "I understand completely. I hope that we will meet again sometime soon." she said smiling and nodding a little.

Pre Officially Pregnant Number 2 (Guild PRP)
Parties involved in order of first appearance: ~Kiana_Nala~, and Kawaii_Hime_Ceres.
----
Rain walks into the Clinic. Rain smiles and sits down in the chair she did the day before. "I wonder who I will see today." she said continuing to smile. "It's nice to be meeting all these people..." she said sighing a little. "To bad Andrew isnt here." she said as she waited to see if anyone would show up.
Ceres had found herself here again. Arm in arm with Sky. She didn't completely understand the attraction to this place other than this place was the place that could possibly give her a child. Something she never thought possible.
Sky, despite the Pegasus in him, was becoming a true human gentleman. He opened the door for Ceres. He would have found a way for her even if he was in the form of a Pegasus. Their bond wasn't exactly love, but it was strong.
Ceres smiled. "Thank you." She was pleasantly surprised to see a familiar face. "Hello Rain!" She hardly ever forgot a face, even with the years behind her.
Rain looked over and saw Ceres. "Hello Ceres!" She said smiling and standing up, she hugged her lightly and offered her a seat. "How are you today? And how are you Sky?" she said smiling warmly to them.
Ceres wasn't use to hugs except from her children. She didn't know many people. But, she eagerly hugged the person back. It felt rather good. Almost like she wanted somewhere else than to 'man' the island.
"Nervous as anything. We want to know if the in vitro fertilization worked or not... Then we can get on with the next stage of worries." Ceres winked. With the help of Sky, and his eyes she sat down.
"I'll talk for Sky if you don't mind. Other wise you might not understand him... We haven't exactly had much luck with teaching him to speak to where others can understand him... It comes out all horse." Ceres' tapped her chin. "He'll probably return to being a Pegasus once everything is settled down. He really thinks humans are silly things." She chuckled.
Rain giggled a little. "I'm sure you two will do great. You both seem like you've got the right smarts to being parents." she said smiling. "That's fine with me.... But if you two need any help with anything I'm always here to help." she said nodding a little to Sky so he knew that she was a kind and caring person that he shouldn't worry about. 'I wonder what it will be like when I get pregnant...' she thought to herself.
Ceres turned the mirror in her hand. She made sure the reflection part was face down. "Thank You. It is nice to know that their are people left that do still sincerely care."
Sky looked about the room. Especially at the door. He liked the fact that it was just them, and one other. He then turned his attention back at Rain. He knew he had to keep it their for Ceres' sake.
It wasn't like on the Island where Ceres could look through just about anyones eyes; even the birds, bugs, and such.
"I'm sorry to ask.... but what do you see exactly?" Rain asked trying not to be rude. "I don't want to pry or anything." she said sighing a little. "And.... How did you and Sky meet?" she asked curiously. "I see through the eyes of others. But I don't go poking about where I am not invited. So, for the moment I have one set of eyes. That would be Sky's." Ceres smiled as she folded her hands over her mirror.
"You can ask me anything, and I'll answer as honestly as possible." Ceres said as she made her appearance a little more modest. She crossed her legs at her ankles.
"Lets see... Its a bit complicated. I was six earth years when I returned to the island. For every 1 earth year I've lived 25 years my time." Ceres paused. "My mother had sought to break the tradition... And, gave me to my father. But, I was one smart cookie and I figured things out. I shattered my original mirror..." She was weaving in and out, giving only the necessary parts of the story. "My mother presented me with a present... Sky. Named after my father Skye."
Sky took a moment to actually look proud.
Ceres chuckled. "My mother wanted to give me someone for companionship. Someone to keep me company. Someone to keep silly notions out of my head such as pregnancy."
Rain smiled. "Why did you break your original mirror?" she asked and giggled a little at Sky. "But I guess that didn't help huh?" she said as she smiled to her self. "That is a wonderful story... " she said nodding in approval... She knew that only Sky could see but she was more nodding to herself. "I travel through mirrors. But, like my gift of site through others I don't do so unless permission is granted." Ceres took a moment to pause. She didn't like to rush when talking. "In haste to get back to the island to find my mother whom I thought dead I dropped it behind me. It shattered."
"I wasn't talented back then in knowing how to work such things as I do now. I didn't have centuries under my belt." Ceres tapped her leg. You could tell she was taking a moment to think.
"My mother didn't want me to become like all the other maidens of the island. I certainly didn't turn out like them for the most part... But, I don't know if my end will be like theirs."
Sky snorted shaking his head in a manor that said you shouldn't go their, or speak illy about your duty. Ceres just nodded her head in response.
"Fate? What fate?" she asked a little confused. "Sorry I ask so many questions." she said laughing a little. "It must be nice to be able to travel like that." she said smiling. "I have to go to a airport and fly in a plane somewhere or ride in a car." she said laughing.
"Their is a price I pay..." Ceres sighed softly. "I need the island, just as much as it needs me." She drummed her fingers for a moment or two before adding. "My daughter will do the same as I have done for all these centuries."
Ceres turned her head to look at Sky, and then look back at Rain. "You see... It's a bit complicated. The maiden of the island will only live long enough to come of age, get her mirror, seduce a man, and start the cycle over." She paused a moment as if it was something painful to talk about. "Once she gets pregnant she will return to the island, and shatter her mirror that way the man can not go looking for her."
"It isn't like that at all with me. My mother tried to prevent such things from happening with me. That was the purpose with Sky." She motioned over herself. "But, lets face it... 450 years... I'm down right old. Though I can live forever if I didn't get pregnant... I feel empty."
Ceres tilted her head. "Does that make sense. But, I cannot be like those maidens... My mother instilled morals in me. I'm different just like my mother was different... She pays the price."
"Their is a price I pay..." Ceres sighed softly. "I need the island, just as much as it needs me." She drummed her fingers for a moment or two before adding. "My daughter will do the same as I have done for all these centuries."

Ceres tilted her head. "Does that make sense. But, I cannot be like those maidens... My mother instilled morals in me. I'm different just like my mother was different... She pays the price."
"I'm so sorry...." Rain said hugging her. "That is a awful fate..." she said as she sighed. "My history isn't that bad." she said smiling a little. "Would you like to hear it?" "Oh, I would love to hear it." Ceres' voice was far from sarcastic with the 'oh'. Mater of fact she couldn't be more cheerful. "But, I would prefer we sit on the floor... These chairs aren't the most comfortable things on the rear... You know." She giggled as she stood up.
Sky stood up abruptly when he saw Ceres shifted. He was there for her, even at a moments notice of change.
"I'm use to sitting on poofs... You know those big fluffy pillow like things. They are all over my house." Ceres patted the floor next to her. "Come sit, and tell me your story." She loved to listed to people, and the places they had been or grown up in.
Rain (Chelsea) sat down on the floor where Ceres had patted. "Well... Lets see..... Lets start with family members. I had a twin brother named Kojimaru; Koji for short. He was blind and he was my best friend. And my mother was named Halla and my father was named Kazu. My brother died when we were seven and my mom died in childbirth when I was twelve. It was a boy that she had and his name was Katsu. My father went on a business trip and he was killed in a plane crash. I was fifteen then. So, I took care of my brother Katsu. He was only a few years old. What else.... I am dating/engaged to a wonderful man named Andrew. Oh, I forgot to tell you. My real name is Chelsea. But everyone calls me Rain. I guess because of my eye color and I was born when it was raining." She said smiling. "I think that is everything." She said looking at Ceres an Sky.
Ceres smiled. "Chelsea..." She whispered as if making a mental note. "For someone of so little life you've suffered greatly." She folded her hands in her lap.
"I hope that this man of yours proves to as wonderful in marriage as he is in dating. That there will be prosperity for the both of you." Ceres said as she played with the tip of her hair. She twirled it around her finger.
"I think he will." she said happily. "And I know he would be great with kids. He treats my brother so well...." she said looking down at her hands while thinking of him. "Yes.... But it only makes me a stronger person." she said looking back up.
Ceres nodded. "I've seen many, many cycles in my life..." She said sadly as she stopped playing with her hair. She gave one long blink. "And, Sky is no different. He's seen his own children come and go, even watched his mares being born."
"I wonder if he to will have to watch me die." Ceres' whispered voice cracking. "It is my greatest fear... my mothers greatest fear." She forced herself to smile.
"I'm so sorry...." Rain said as she put her hand on Ceres shoulder. "I hope that day won't come..." she said smiling alittle to Sky. "And... I hope that you and Sky will both come out all in tact in the end." she said smiling a little more. "Have you thought of a name?" she asked curiously. "Like if its a boy or a girl."
Ceres touched the others hand that rested on her shoulder. "I am prepared for my fate. I only hope that when my 'suffering' ends his own may end." She smiled softly.
Ceres' touched her stomach absentmindedly. She may not have know at this moment whether their was a baby in her belly, but there was one thing she knew. "It will be a girl... Babies born to any Maiden of the island are always female." She smiled cheerfully. "And, I shall call her Natalia." "That is a wonderful name!" she said happily. "Arn't you kinda sad that you can't have a boy though?" she asked curiously. "I mean, I would be happy with just one but it would be nice to have a chance at both...." she said thinking it over in her head. "But I love the name!" she said nodding alittle to herself.
"I'm actually a little scared when it comes to raising boys." Ceres' cheeks turned just a little flush. She couldn't help but to laugh a little. "In all my adopted children I've raised only one boy. He didn't turn out that bad. But with six girls... I've got things down pack with that gender." She winked. Rain smiled and laughed a little. "I understand. I guess stay with what you know." she said laughing a little more. "I would like to try both." she said nodding a little to herself.
"I know that regardless of gender when your time comes you will be a wonderful mother." Ceres smiled, and put her hand on Kiana's knee. "Piece of cake I promise you..."
"I feel as if I should get going... I don't like being out and about for long periods of time." Ceres looked in Sky's direction. "I hope we can meet again. It is a pleasure to chat with you." "Thank you!" Kiana said happily. "And yes. We should meet again when you can." she said nodding and standing up. "I will see you next time?" she said as she walked out.

Gather Round My Children
----
Ceres may have not been that far along into the pregnancy but she was already slowing up. She didn't know if it was age catching up with her, or just the fact of pregnancy.
However, like any new arrival Ceres had called upon her children for a meeting. It was important to her that these types of things be in the open, nothing left for secrets or mishap. She didn't care if they were grown or not, they were still her 'babies'.
Ceres fluffed the poofs on the floor, and also the pillows on the chairs and sofa. She smiled, and continued to straighten things up. Sure it could have been done for her, but for some reason she wanted to do it herself today.
Yes, things about Ceres were already starting to change, body included. The extra naps, nausea in the middle of the afternoon, and frequent urination were just a few of the annoying things on her list.
Sky had been a blessing to Ceres', and was continuing to be just that. He was actually considering making this shifting thing something that he could at will. He put his hand on her shoulder, and offered the warmest smile before helping her to sit in her favorite chair. It was well worn from years of use, and it was the only one that rocked.
Each child took their favorite seat sitting in their favorite positions. But, what they didn't see was a bundle in Ceres' arms whether it was an object, an egg, or something of some form from an adoption agency. Their eyes were wide open with curiously especially since Sky was in human form. They took in how magnificent Sky looked.
"Children..." Ceres started as she folded her hands over recently noticeable belly with her recent spout of weight gain. "You all know that recently I haven't been as attentive with things..." She stopped immediately when their eyes went large as saucers.
Ceres shushed them in gentle mothering tones. Watching them as they looked almost themselves. She left them resettle down before continuing. She knew that this bit of information would be a major impact in their lives. After all it couple possibly mean her death, she knew that. "The fact of things is... I'm pregnant."
The word 'pregnant' spread through the little cluster like wild fire. The word itself was stunning, but when you put Ceres' into the equation... It was just so hard to fathom. "Mother." Everyone said it all at once, like an epiphany.
"Yes." Ceres smiled, and continued forward with the story of Sky and his transformation, and then her trip to the clinic and her in vitro fertilization.
The story ended and it was was an immediate round of congratulations, well wishes, and how each would chip in more than they already chipped in. Each of Ceres' adopted children seemed to eagerly welcome the thought of a bouncing baby, a new addition to the already large family.
Ceres held a pillow to her chest. She was tired, and she hadn't done much at all. She tried her best not to yawn. It was just so hard to not be tired. So much about her was changing.

Ceres I wouldn't have considered doing such things through any other place, but where it was done. I should have never considered it to begin with. But, I won't look back. I am happy with my decision.
I know there will be concerns. There is always concerns where babies are involved. But, I've not got the typical concerns of can I afford this, or do I really want this...
My two biggest concerns I have are: Did Sky's transformation really affect how my daughter will turn out? Will I die when my daughter is of age to take her mirror?
Sky, a friend of over 4 centuries, did the most wonderful thing for me. He willingly allowed himself to be transformed into a human. It was in hopes that perhaps the magic would disguise the Pegasus in him from science.
I had to involve science to have this baby. And, I must add it was the most embarrassing thing I've done in all my years. And, in all my ears only my mother, and my children have seen any parts of me.
I've never considered marring a man, or taking a man and seducing him. The way of the island is seduction. All the woman before me... We know what must be done. We must take our mirrors, find a man, get pregnant, and return to the island. It is just the way things are done...
My mother was the first to defy this 'law'. She's now forever rooted to the island. Located in the Groove, only the brave of heart without doubt can locate her. She's a tree..
Those who follow the 'law' know that when their children are of age to take the mirror that they will die. See my concern. Everything about me ties together. Everything is so intricately woven.
Perhaps that is why it allowed Sky to do such a thing for me. Because it knew how much I desired a child, and that adopting just wasn't the same. It has won this round. I've given in. Now I will see if my fate is the same as all of those before me.

Breaking the Ice
----
"Ceres... Child." Lilyana chimed as branches extending, base straightened. "It has been at least a few months since our last visit." If she could have smiled, she would have.
Ceres knew it best to just wait a good five minutes before attempting to jump into the conversation. It was nearly always the same. Her mother had to get out all 'fifty' questions before it would be her turn tot speak. And, while trying to answer those questions, she'd be given more.
Sky chuckled, and helped Ceres to the ground. Where they were the sun was just right, and the grass just perfect to the touch. He knew that their settling down wouldn't affect Lilyana's series of questions in the slightest.
"Who's this young man..." Lilyana stopped suddenly. "You mean to tell me this is Sky." She was all prissy before she started to laugh. She had answered her own question. "So, I take it that it means that things worked out... Well... Well..." She was like a kid again with her inquisitiveness.
Ceres leaned back on her hand as she looked up at her mother. She used the other hand to gently pat her firming tummy. "Just got the news the other day... Officially pregnant... 2 months!"
"Then that is why you haven't come to visit." Lilyana's voice went empty for a moment. Though she was still cheerful about the news. She felt guilty, after all it was through her intervention that Ceres' life was the way it was.
"Yes mum..." Ceres sighed softly as she sat back up. She pulled her hair over her shoulder, and played with the end of it. "But, the reason I haven't been around is because I've got doubts." You could hear the shame in her voice. "No mater how I try to douse my doubt I cannot. It is so hard." Her voice cracked, but she forced herself not to cry.
"Child..." Lilyana sighed regretfully. "You're doubt isn't going to be eased because your doubt is my own fears." It seemed as if Ceres' extra hormones were affecting her mother, but it was genuine honesty in her voice.
Sky let Ceres lean against him to help support her. He knew that even if she wasn't that far along that certain things she use to do were harder on her now, and also even the slightest thing made her tired. And, he knew it took a good most of the morning to get here. He put his hand close to her knee, and smiled. He was trying to reassure her.
"You know our purpose as Maidens. We are born to bear a single child and in between help the island as it helps us. That once we have had our child, and that they are of age we die. By limiting our life span it keeps the cycle anew, and without complication." Lilyana was repeating things Ceres' already knew, but it was worth reiterating the situation.
"We break our mirrors so that the men cannot find us, because love would just complicate things." You could hear the heartbreak in Lilyana's voice, but she forced herself to continue. "But, I wanted more, and thus I wanted more for you. I advised you against love, and even childbirth. I didn't want to see you die because I'll never die."
Ceres' clenched her fist around a bundle of grass. "Won't the island ever relinquish you? Other than your human appearance you are no different than any other maid."
Lilyana cleared her throat. "Actually, I am very different. I let myself fall in love. My heart still aches for the man that is bound to the dessert. The island does this to me, to us as punishment. It wants to prove a point..."
"Mother..." Ceres whispered through a short bout of tears.
"The island will never feel guilty about its choices, and thus I fear for you my child. I am the selfish and guilty one. The one who has doubt. You shouldn't." Lilyana spoke out. She too would be crying if she could. Her branches ruffled in the on coming wind.
"I'm scared mother. Scared for myself, for this baby..." She was spouting what she considered nonsense like a spicket. I'm afraid that I'm going to fall in love. She closed her eyes, and tilted her head. "What will become of me because of this foolish notion I had to have a baby."
Lilyana wanted more than anything to step out of the bark, to be a woman, to hug her daughter. But, the best she could for extend a branch, and let the leaves touch her cheek. "What ever decision you make I'll support you and take the punishment that may be dealt. Be brave like me. Fall in love, allow yourself to grow old." Her voice cracked. "Forgot an old womans selfish, guilty, and even silly notions of you living forever like I must."
"Mother..." Ceres' cheeks were blotchy, and stained with coats of tears. She coughed from lack of air. "Why couldn't you have said these things years go..." Now she didn't know whether she wanted to be angry or sad... All she knew is that she wanted to cry. She didn't understand it. She was often a strong woman with resolve.
"I'm sorry..." Lilyana wanted to be able to say more, to do more. However, it seemed out of her control. All she could do was let her child cry, there wasn't any form of comfort she could offer. "I'm sorry..." She whispered again.
Sky wrapped his arms around Ceres'. He rubbed her back in hopes to help comfort her, to ease her pain, and to lessen her tears. For her he'd go just about any distance, do just about anything. It was companionship in the purest form.
"I love you mother." Ceres whispered into the crook of Sky's neck."
"I love you to my child..." Lilyana said with boldness. She was putting her bravest foot forward. "You will find yourself in your weakest moments, my child, in the months to come. Listen to your heart, do not doubt it. Do as you've aways done, and trust your gut... Then nothing, nothing at all can go wrong. Everything will fall into place."
Ceres settled for a nod. She was chocked up in the unfairness, and fairness of how things seemed. She finally looked again at her mothers form. "I will mother."
"I know that tone Missy." Lilyana chuckled trying to lighten things up. She was still amazed what a large does of hormones could do to a person. "Your off to see that eccentric ol' man..."
"I think he deserves to know mother..." Ceres managed a smile, even a light hearted laugh for her mother. She knew the notion was near crazy, especially when she was pregnant.
"I wish I could tell you not to go, but you never listen." Lilyana was full of mixed emotions for her daughter. "I just hope you'll have straightened out those doubts before your feet hit the sands of despair..."
Ceres settled for a small nod as she stood up with the help of Sky. She pressed her hand against her mother. As she left she could feel the wind against her skin, causing a light prickle.
Sky pulled Ceres to his side, slipping his arm around her waist. If asked he would openly admit how brave she was, and how proud he was of her. But, for now he'd settle on offering her comfort and warmth.

A Moment in the Kitchen
----
Ceres was busing herself in the kitchen. Nap sack on the table wide open, and near filled to the brim with treats and goodies for the trip. She wasn't going to go all day without something to eat.
Sky let out a snort like laugh as he leaned on the frame of the kitchen entrance. "Sure we can carry that thing... Looks stuffed." He said as he eyed the bag Ceres' had packed. She certainly wasn't going to let them go without.
"For your information mister..." Ceres said playfully as she put her hands on her hips. "Yes, we can. I just didn't want us to do without. I know the hike could take us a couple days, maybe even a few because of my condition."
"Condition makes it sound like you are dying." Sky said as he crossed the room. He brushed a few stray hairs out of Ceres' face. "And, that certainly isn't what is happen."
Ceres looked down, especially away from Sky's eyes. She was still uneasy about the extreme closeness the two were forming since this pregnancy had started. "... You know as well as I do that this could be the death of me."
"You've done so much more for this island than the other maidens. I just don't see how it could want to just throw you away." Sky slid a set of fingers under Ceres' chin, and tilted her head upwards. Never had he seen her like this, wanted to see her like this. It was all knew to him to feel the way he felt. He had to reiterate to himself how silly he'd become since he'd learned to shift from Pegasus to human.
Ceres shut her eyes. "Do you know how silly it looks to me to be using your eyes to see myself. I have nothing at all to see your own." She chuckled. "We are a pair of fools you know that Sky..."
Sky snorted. He knew it was a tactic of Ceres. A way to wiggle out of the curtain siltation, to change the subject. "A fool is foolish..." He whispered, as he leaned forward. "And since you accused me..." He kissed Ceres' softly on the lips, nothing tempting, and certainly nothing leading.
Ceres's cheeks turned a brilliant shade of strawberry red. "Sky." She blurted out, her only response to the kiss. She didn't returned the kiss back in the least. "Fools may be foolish, but they are not stupid... Just impulsive."
Sky sighed, and took a couple steps back away from Ceres'. For him flirtation, even bouts of lust were natural for him. He was a lead stallion after all, and use to having his pick of the 'littler'. But, he wasn't use to was the feels he was having towards Ceres'. It was more than that.
Sky settled for nodding his head to Ceres' statement. He buckled up the nap sack, slung it over his shoulder. He took her hand, and lead her from the kitchen. "Let's go..."
Ceres let out a guilty sigh as she let Sky lead the way. "I'm sorry." She whispered.

The Eccentric Ol' Man
----
Ceres cried to the heavens. "Why did I think I could do this?" She collapsed in the scorching sands grasping hand fulls for it just run through her fingers.
Tears began to stream down Ceres' cheeks. She could hear the laugher of the ages before her. Taunting her. They even dared her to try and proceed while telling her hit was pointless.
Ceres pulled her knees to chest as much as she could. She continue to cry as she rocked herself into a comfort zone. Foolish she told herself. Thoughts danced in her head of all the doubt she'd had turning it into incompetency of the situation.
Sky knelt down next to Ceres wrapping his arms around her. He held her close to his body. Despite the heat of the day, this heat was welcomed. It was comfort. "Not much further..." He said to reassure her.
Ceres shook her head. "No, no, no..." She wailed. Her heart wasn't strong enough. She couldn't, she no longer wanted to. This wasn't worth it to see her father.
Sky carefully lifted Ceres' into his arms. Legs nearly buckling under him from the extra weight. he wasn't use to it with this new body of his. "I'll carry you." He said. It was for her, and only her that he'd do something like this. He would even carry her away from this place.
Ceres felt the grass tickle her body. She sighed relief knowing that she was in a 'circle' of safely. She opened her eyes as she licked her dry lips. "You're wonderful..." She whispered. She was drained due to the attack of her mental stability. "Thank You."
Sky smiled knowing that the only reason he had been able to put aside all emotion was because of Ceres'. It was their will combined with his own, even if she herself couldn't use it for herself at this particular moment.
"Ceres!" A mans voice bounced through through the small green area. The point of origin was a small bonsai like plant, though it was much larger than the similar ones from the potted family.
"Daddy!" Ceres cried out with joy.
Sky sat back in the grass. That brief moment right there was what made the journey worth it. A journey that was seldom made. He grinned more for himself than anyone else.
"Oh, ho, ho... Look what you've brought." The tree 'bounced' in spot. "But, looks don't deceive me." He chuckled. "Sky! But, what does get me is choice of shape."
All despair of the sands seemed 'washed' away as Ceres began to fill in her father about time past between them, and of course most recent events. As she finished she grinned much like a kid in a candy store as she put a hand on her stomach.
"Wonderful, wonderful!" The tree continued to bounce." Wonderful that your mother is finally seeing the light! Hearts are meant to be free, free, free!"
Sky snorted as he shook his head. He wanted to laugh but he knew it would be disrespectful. He knew that that ol' man was just happy to have company, as Ceres rarely came due the harshness of the surrounding area. And, no one else could muster the courage to even try to reach the ol' man.
"Daddy!" Ceres laughed. "Don't you go implying that I'm going to go and hook up with Sky just because he's good looking, kind, and all those other nice things men should be."
"Oh, ho, ho... I didn't do such a thing. You said it yourself." The tree would have grinned if it could have, but it settled for a laugh. "Follow your heart..."
"I don't know daddy. "Ceres' sighed. "I just don't know. Things are complicated." She leaned against Sky. "I don't want to jump into things just in case these new feelings of mine are because of my hormones."
"I have confidence in you my daughter. I know you will make the right decisions. You've always done so. You are wonderful, wonderful!"
Sky wasn't paying attention to their conversation. He was giving them privacy.
The day lulled on with the crazy ol' man spouting out nonsense. Thoughts that had nagged him since the last time they had talked. Ceres continue to indulge him, showing that nothing was out of the normal.
"You take care of my baby girl!" The tree said as he watched the two leave. "Hope you come again soon, soon!"

 Ceres Oh My gosh!
Life has been a whirl wind since I found out I was pregnant!
I'm giving lessons to Sky to further his speech, reading, and writing skills. And, on top of that I'm actually cleaning the house by myself. Though, the by myself is slightly smudged. Sky insists that if I am going to do it, so is he.
My gosh. I am so lucky. He's there what seems my every waking moment. I think he'd sleep with me if I'd let him. Scandalous! Yes, that is what I can hear my children saying behind my back.
I don't know if it is hormones or what... But, I think I really have feelings for Sky. I am so concerned though even if I've gotten the go ahead from my mother I cannot really count my father as time alone has made him a little nutty.
I mean falling in love with an outsider is one thing, but falling in love with a native of the island is another. I can only imagine the punishment... And, to think my mother said she'd take what was dished.
But, enough of my seriously, stupid problems that are so totally over rated. This baby has gotten me acting like I'm a teen all over again!
I've even got pimples! Yes, pimples! I've always had perfect skin... Perfect everything. But, the pimples aren't the worst of it. The nausea is, but lucky right now I'm not throwing up. However, I must say all food looks unappetizing.
Well, not all... Scratch that. Hot dogs with Syrup! I'm not a meat eater... But, those things are so damn tasty. I'm leaving home to get hot dogs at least 4 times a day, and 'sneaking' out at least once during the night.
As if that wasn't enough, theirs also the frequent urination, back aches, and swollen ankles. Everything, and I mean everything is changing. But, certainty for the better.
All the children are chipping in, and everyones on board! The room for our newest addition is 50 percent spring, and 50 percent sugar coated. They insisted that the child will need 'sickeningly' sweet themes to insure she grows up well. On my end the jury is still out.
My eyes are wide open, and I'm throughly excited now that I'm over the oh my gosh I'm gonna die what have I done...

Sky Sometimes I can hardly believe that I so quickly volunteered for this. But, I just couldn't see Ceres' getting herself pregnant with some random stranger she knows nothing about, has never met, or will never meet.
I'm actually starting to like this body and how it functions. I've also got feelings for Ceres in ways I never thought were possible. Things that I thought silly were only that way because I didn't know better, or really understand the purpose.
Ceres showed me, read to me a baby book. Life is so precious. Each individual stage is amazing, and beautiful. And, to think my baby is growing inside Ceres'.
I'm old, just as old as her. I've watched many come into this world, and a good handful have been my own offspring. However, something about this woman this child, is different.
The companionship between us is blossoming.
I think... I'm willing to set aside the days of frolicking to be with her... Only her. But, she at the moment won't allow herself to set things up for a fall. She's concerned that what is happening to us is just her hormones.

Four Dirty Paws (Thread/Guild PRP) (WIP)
Parties involved in order of first appearance: Kawaii_Hime_Ceres, and WereWolfKin.
----
Ceres with hot dog, smothered in maple syrup, found herself 'waddling' into the place that she had found herself coming to frequently. Lately this place was on her preferred places to visit. She usually always found someone to chat with. She had noticed in the past couple of months that loneliness crept up on her easily.
Sky never hesitated when Ceres said outing, especially when it was followed by hot dog with syrup. He knew it was the craving of the month, and hopefully the strangest of them. He helped her settle into a seat, and get comfortable. Once she was settled he grabbed them a magazine, and held it for her. However, he let her do the explaining since he was still learning.
Were sighed as she walked in with Graham in tow. She hadn't realized that toddlers were so messy. On the way there Graham had somehow managed to get all 4 paws covered in dirt and his tail as well. She sighed again, luckily she had started carrying moist towelettes whenever she went somewhere with her messy son.
Giving a smile to the woman and man that were nearby, Were pulled Graham into her lap and proceeded to scrub at his paws with the wipes muttering something about him always getting dirty. Graham giggled at his mother then looked at the others, making funny faces at them.
Sky looked up when the door opened letting a little bell sound. He took in the woman and child, and how the little one seemed to be so messy.
"You look like you could use a few more of those." Ceres chuckled politely as she stood up. She walked over to the reception desk to grab the box on the counter. She had nearly memorized the place having come here several times previous. However, she wasn't perfect and knocked her knees on the table.
It was at this that Sky's thoughts were draw away from the child, and over to Ceres. He mentally cursed himself, and quickly went to help Ceres. "Sorry..." It was all horse, as he was still trying to learn human.
"No worries Sky. Just forgot the table was there..." You could understand Ceres. She smiled and squeezed Sky's hand. "Just my knees. I'll admit though that I am use to the island where I literately have thousands of eyes to choose from."
Sky nodded still a little flustered. He helped her over to the lady with the child.
"Here we go." Ceres said to the woman as she knelt down. "My name is Ceres." She smiled.
Were smiled at her accepting the offering. "I am Were Kollins, the little guy that likes mud if Graham." She looked at the woman "You sure your alright? Tables can create quite a bruise, and it only starts to hurt the day after it happens."
Were's ears twitched and ran a hand through her hair to move the strand that had tickled. "When I was pregnant I was so awkward I ran into things all the time."
"If becoming awkward is part of being pregnant..." Ceres sighed, and then smiled. "I'll add it up on the list of things that annoy me." She chuckled. "But, really it is probably just because I wasn't paying attention. I can only see through Sky's eyes." She motioned to the man. "I could use other eyes, but I don't do so without permission. And, Sky here can understand you but he cannot speak human yet. We're trying."
Ceres smiled at Graham. "If you think here has some good puddles you should come visit where I live sometime. Never a dull moment." She winked. "And, not that boys like baths... But ours is big enough to accommodate 'Taurs."
Ceres' then turned her attention to Were. "He's a very handsome boy.
Hearing the stuff about the seeing out of another's eyes was very interesting to Were and she glanced at the man - Sky he was called. "That must make some odd perceptions on your part" she said before wanting to take it back. It was probably the only thing the woman had known, how would it make it odd if it was normal for her. "I'm sorry, that came out wrong, I just meant that it would be interesting to see out of different eyes and be harder to coordinate movements."
Were reached down to ruffle Graham's fur. "He gets more baths than any of the little boys in my tribe used to get. Maybe they just got more discipline. I am too lenient on him, trying to raise him away from the prejudices of my people." She paused a moment remembering her last moments in her tribe. "Yes, visiting would be nice one day. I am sure Graham would love it. He enjoys exploring, almost as much as I used to."
She removed her hand from his fur and ran it through her hair. "He grows like a weed. I won't be surprised if he is as big as a centaur one day. Much bigger than me" Were grinned, she wasn't very tall by her tribes standards, and Graham would likely be a giant.
Ceres' smile didn't falter at the comment of her site and perception being odd. Mater of fact she found herself laughing for a brief moment. "Coordination isn't as difficult if you have a couple different sets of eyes. Which I do have on the island, actually I see through nearly hundreds. It gives me the advantage of knowing what is all around me, as well as behind and ahead of me. It did take a little time of knowing which eyes were in front of me, and behind me... Piece of cake now."
"We love visitors to the island. It is myself, two other girls who came their by luck and stayed permanently, and my 7 children... Other than that it is just the animal inhabitants of the island." Ceres said as she dug around in her bag that Sky had just handed her. "We've got just about every natural feature the world has to offer all on one island... Plenty of mud included.
"Ah, here we go..." Ceres' pulled out some different toys for the boy to play with. "My youngest who won't grow up is fascinated with things that move." She smiled as she handed Graham the toys.
Ceres with Sky's help stood to fall stature of 5'8. She stretched herself a bit still getting use to the whole pregnant thing. "Children are expected to grow like weeds. Other wise we'd worry... After all a mother does do a lot of watering when it comes to nurturing her young."
"As for the tight reins of discipline... I fear I fail." Ceres' chuckled. "Though, I wouldn't say that I am a bad mother. All my children grew up decently."

It's Official - Sharing the news with a new, but good friend! (Guild PRP)
Parties involved in order of first appearance: Kawaii_Hime_Ceres, and ~Kiana_Nala~.
----
Ceres' aching back, swollen feet, and now an apparent weight gain accounted for her toddling into the clinic. She knew she couldn't be over three months.
What Ceres had done to get this way, and so quickly she didn't know. She sighed heavily. She tried to tell herself it was just her body changing, and so rapidly that her 450 year old self just couldn't keep up.
Ceres was beginning to wonder if it had been wise to get pregnant this late in her life (and to think people groan when they hear of a woman in her 50's getting pregnant). But, she knew she wasn't going to die unless she had a child. This was currently one of her top worries, but nothing that kept her up at night.
Sky was right beside his pregnant 'Mistress' helping her to see the way. He had a back pack slung over his shoulder. It was weighed down with healthy snacks, and not to healthy treats. There were also some wipes just in case a stick situation arose.
Rain walked into the lodge. She now had with her, her younger brother Katsu. Rain smiled and pointed him over in the direction of toys. She then walked over to the seats and sat down next to Ceres and Sky. "Hello!" she said happily. "Your starting to show." she said smiling.
Ceres' cheeks flushed as a grin graced her face. "I do suppose I am just a little." She was trying to be modest as she rubbed her belly a little. "I'm feeling it more than anything though..." She chuckled.
Sky had watched the boy settle in before focusing of Rain and Ceres. He didn't need telling to know that in just a couple of minutes Ceres' would be wanting something to snack on. She was like clock work here lately. He went ahead, and searched through the bag for what she would be wanting. Rain giggled. "You are just getting prettyer!" She said giggling some more. "Right Sky?" She said as she smiled to him. "How is this new life going for you two? Are you two growing closer?" she asked curiously.
Ceres blushed at the thought of being called pretty. Other than her children, and recently Sky no one called her such things.
Sky nodded as he brought out the particular snack he'd knew Ceres' would be wanting. It was all he could offer. His human was still so rough that it still sounded more horse than anything.
"Sky is absolutely fascinated with this pregnancy. He finds that he laughs at himself. Simply because he's seen it happening a dozen times, some of them his own..." Ceres paused looking in Sky's direction. "But this one is different some how... He says." She took the carrot sticks, and smiled her thanks.
"This new life... Hmm." Ceres tapped her chin, and chuckled. "He's there so much for me its almost 'scandalous'. He'd sleep in my bed if I'd let him... Not that way." She quickly caught herself, and decided to add. "But, anyways I'm just worried these feelings are all hormones and nothing else... So I'm just very cautious... He understands." Rain smiled and thought for a moment. "There is the possiblity that you two had these feelings before, but they are just now coming out. Like, there was that barrier of you being human, and he was not." she said nodding alittle. "How its different.... I'm not sure of a smart way to explain. But a thought could be because of the feelings you two are getting, and possibly he didn't have those feelings for his past mates. Ya know? Like instinks were just taking over, there was nothing behind it." she said thinking some more. "I don't know... But, I'm sure when your baby is born it will all become clear." she said giggling.
"It may sound like a bunch of random nonsense to you, even if it is coming out of your mouth." Ceres laughed. "But, it makes perfect sense to me. I am sure you are right... That in time all things will be clear."
Sky turned his head focusing on not being embarrassed.
Rain smiled and blushed a little. "Thank you very much."
"I'm going to grab a bite of lunch." Ceres smiled as she gave Sky's hand a squeeze to let him know everything was alright. "Would you like to come along, or do you have plans?"
Rain stood up. "I would love to.... If its ok if I bring my brother." she said waving for him to come over.
"I've no problem with extra company." Ceres smiled, and with help stood up. "There is this great little place just around the corner. They sell the best hot dogs with maple syrup." She let Sky lead the way.
"Alright!" She said happily. Rain grabbed Katsu's hand and followed Ceres and Sky. "When do you think the baby will arrive Ceres?" she asked curiously.
"In about three and half months unless she decides that she is ready to make her debt a little sooner. Hopefully not to much before that." Ceres' smiled, and rubbed the lower portion of her belly.
Sky held the door open for the little group of people. He continued to smile. When Ceres finally walked through he took her hand. There were a lot of people, and he worried about Ceres.
"Crowded today..." Ceres muttered.
Rain smiled. "That's Awesome!" she said happily. "I hope that she does to." she said nodding. Rain looked around inside the restaurant. She held Katsu closer to her. "Yes it is." she said looking to Ceres and Sky to see where they were going to sit.
"If it wasn't for this craving I would offer to go somewhere else." Ceres said a little irritated by all the people. "Why does everyone have to be hungry at the same time..." It was just her hormones talking that made her sound harsher than normal.
"You know what... We'll get it to go. We can eat outside." Ceres smiled. "It is a lovely day, and we could all do for a little fresh air.
"That is fine with me!" Rain said as she walked up to the orderer with Katsu. She turned around and waited for Ceres and Sky to order first. "We'd like a pair of hot dogs with two packs of maple syrup. 2 small garden salads, and one order of fries..." Ceres looked over her shoulder at Sky. "And, a piece of chocolate cake." She was ordering for the three of them. She knew in a way it sounded like a lot, but it wasn't really... They also had snacks in their pack.
Ceres' paid of the boy at the register. With receipt and number in hand she stepped aside for Rain to order. She was beaming at the thought of getting to eat any moment.
Rain walked up to the boy. "And the two of us would like two hot dogs, two fries and a small chocolate milk, also a diet coke." She said smiling and paying him as he handed them there food. Rain walked back over to Ceres to follow her out.
"At least they give fast service despite the crowd." Ceres chuckled. "I don't think I could have gone much longer without something to eat. I like to eat every couple of hours... Just something light."
Rain nodded in agreement. "Yes indeed." She said walking over to a table that was outside. Rain sat her's and Katsu's food on the table and then helped Katsu get into his chair.
"Are you going to be able to eat it?" Rain asked Katsu.
Katsu nodded. "Yes I will sissy." Katsu was about 5-6 years old.
"This table is alright?" she said looking from Katsu to Ceres and Sky.
"Any table is alright." Ceres grinned. "Just so long as I can put food in my belly." She was trying to be comical about the crowd they'd left inside.
Rain giggled lightly and sat down next to Katsu. "I agree with you completely." She said getting ketchup and mustard for her and Katsu's hot dogs.
Ceres took a moment to smother her hot dogs and fries in maple syrup. Not paying attention to anyone else's feelings about her food choices. "What are your plans this afternoon Rain?" She asked politely as she cut up her hot dogs.
Sky made a circular shape out of his dressing on the salad. Then he carefully separated the different bits. To say he was picky was an understatement.
"Well... I'm just having a day out with Kazu." she said smiling. "How about you?" she asked curiously as she eat some of her hot dog. "I'm just out and about enjoying myself for an hour or so." Ceres smiled. "After lunch I figure it'll be about time to head back home."
"Yeah." Rain said smiling and laughing at her brother who had ketchup all around his mouth. "He's a dork."
Senti finishes the ham he'd been given and then skitters back onto Surion's shoulder curling up contently, his long tail wrapping instinctively around his upper arm
"No, not medical, magical.... accident, mom too" he didnt really want to go into much more details, he didn't almost ever tell anyone, he was very quiet about it. "I dont mind if you feed, all persons need to eat."
Ceres nodded as she shifted her breast out her top and positioned her child so that she could feed. "Well, all magic has a 'cure'. It just takes time... And, sometimes with time the magical elements fade and dwindle." She smiled reassuringly. "The question you have to ask yourself... Are you prepared to remember what you have forgotten?"

Hot Dog with Maple Syrup! (Thread PRP)
Parties involved in order of first appearance: Kawaii_Hime_Ceres, and keetabirdy.
----
Ceres was fully rounded, but not her fully potential roundness just yet. Her persistent craving of 3 months for a hot dog with maple syrup had brought her out once more. The maple syrup being a sweet treat she tried not to eat more than four a day unless she promised herself to eat a healthy apple or four... She didn't want to feel guilty because of her eating habits after all.
Sky snorted shaking his head. He couldn't help but laugh at Ceres. She was kid like when there was candy present. He held her hand as they stood in line to purchase this hot dog. He was constantly looking around to keep her informed. After all, he was her only eyes.
Keeta was out, having just left the clinic, to make her next appointment. She could have called, she supposed, but she still didn't really like the phone, so she had chosen to walk there. She had planned to just head to work at the Casbah a little early, from the clinic, and see if there was anyone around to hang out with. Her immediate intentions, however, were interrupted when her stomach growled. Before her pregnancy, Keeta's eating habits had been pretty regular, so this whole eating for two thing was something that was taking getting used to.
Keeta rubbed the smallish bump that was starting to show at her waistline, as she looked around for a place to eat. She soon noticed there was a small cafe across the street. Maybe there she could find something there that would tide her over until she could get something more substantial (and cheaper) at the Casbah. Keeta hoped the cafe would have something that followed Dr. London's nutrition guidelines, which she had been following very closely. She reached the cafe and stepped into line, scanning the menu as she waited for her turn to order.
Ceres had her eyes closed as she took a bite into the hot dog. Syrup dripping down her chin. Not a care in the world. She spun around, and took a couple steps forward. She wasn't paying any attention to anyone, just her hot dog. Internally she had hoped that Sky was looking out for her like he always did.
Sky, however, wasn't quick enough. Despite slipping his arms around Ceres' waist to stop her, since her arms were occupied, they made contact with another lady, and from the looks of it a pregnant one. He cursed himself despite it only being a minor bump of arms.
Ceres suddenly opened her eyes, not even aware yet of were Sky's hands were. Her cheeks were flush with embarrassment. She found a napkin to wipe her hands off before extending her hand. "I'm so, so sorry. When I get these cravings its like the world stops once I do get to eat it." She felt she owned an excuse as well.
Keeta hadn't seen the other woman either, because she was intent on studying the menu. She had been trying to decide between their fresh fruit salad and a chocolate covered banana. The salad would be healthier, but chocolate sounded so good....
Keeta's gaze turned from the menu board, however, when someone else bumped against her and immediately began to apologize. She started to tell the other woman and her escort not to worry about it, when she got a good look at their faces. They seemed familiar....and then Keeta noticed the bump on the woman's lower abdomen that was very similar to her own.
"No, no, it's ok. Have I seen you somewhere before? Were you maybe at the GMFC several weeks ago? I'm not trying to be presumptious, but it seems we are in a similar condition."
Ceres' turned brilliant red when she felt Sky slide his arms away from her. It had just occurred to her how close she had been to him. It was warm, and welcoming... But, suddenly just incredibly wrong. "Sky!"
Sky looked innocent as ever. He hadn't had any intentions at all other than to try and stop her from bumping into someone else.
"Yes, yes... I do believe we've met before, but only in brief passing." Ceres said frantically as she readjusted her attention. Finally she smiled, and briefly she motioned at her belly. "It does appear that we are in the same boat. Though, I wish someone would give me a paddle." She chuckled. "I've got the rearing part down, it is this that I am not familiar with."
Keeta looked at the pair in slight confusion when the woman reacted to her escort's touch. It was clear she wasn't appreciative of it, but Keeta had seen nothing wrong with his gesture. She could see that he had simply been trying to keep her from bumping into Keeta.
"Well you've got more down than me down I'm afraid. I haven't done any of this before. I'm Keeta, by the way," she said, extending her hand to the woman and then the man, who still hadn't spoken.
Ceres double checked her hand, and then finally shook Keeta's hand. "I'm Ceres, and this is Sky." She said as her gaze drifted away from the direct attention to the other person. But, when you watched the pair together it was nearly uncanny how both Ceres' and Sky's eyes moved near in rhythm. With his help she was taking in their surroundings again before she settled once more on Keeta.
Sky felt a little awkward as he stood there. He could see the expression on the womans face, and that was why he had draw Ceres' attention else where. What a mess he thought.
Ceres' could sense the tension in Sky. She smiled nervously. "He is still learning to speak human, but he can fully understand you. And, I cannot see unless it is through someone else's eyes." Here went the mood swings. She rubbed her arm nervously. Where had her confidence gone.
"Nice to meet you," Keeta said in response to Ceres' introductions. She continued to be a little confused again as Ceres' and Sky's gazes moved away from her momentarily, and then returned, as if in unison. Then Ceres began to explain, and things began to make more sense. She sensed the woman suddenly become a bit uncomfortable.
"Would you like to sit down and chat more?" Keeta asked, trying to break the tension. "I have some time to kill before work. I hope you don't mind if I get something to eat first?" she asked, indicating the counter where they were taking orders.
Ceres eased up and smiled. "Sure thing. And, I could go for another hot dog..." She stopped mid sentence when she felt Sky squeeze her hand. "Erm. Healthy." She sighed.
"I'll go grab us a table." Ceres said and motioned towards one near a window once Sky looked that direction. "It is a very lovely day." She said while she paid attention to Sky rummaging through the sack of 'goodies'.
Keeta nodded and moved up to the counter where the clerk was waiting for her. If she wasn't going to head over to the Casbah right away, she needed to get something more substantial. She decided to get a turkey sandwich, but still gave into her craving for chocolate, getting the chocolate covered banana as well. After several minutes, she headed over to the table where Ceres and Sky had settled themselves. She smiled as she put down her tray and got herself settled.
"So how are you two today?"
"Busy..." Ceres chuckled. "Never a dull moment, and for my age it gets exhausting." She held up her hand. "Lets see: teaching Sky, keeping up with one kid who never grow up, 6 other kids who always want my attention, and then there is the island... It's a juggling act. I'm surprised there are enough hours in the day."
"Even if it is just flutters I can feel the baby move. It is very fascinating. I find myself stopping in what I am doing just to enjoy it. It never lasts long." Ceres grinned a little. "She's got me acting like a teen all over again... And, how are you doing?" She asked as she took time to enjoy the banana that Sky had retrieved from the bag.
"Your age?" Keeta asked. She was confused. Ceres didn't look like she could be any older than herself. And on the same note, how did she have so many children then?
"Sounds like you have your hands full. I don't know if I could manage all that. I barely seem to manage myself well these days, it seems." Keeta couldn't imagine taking on all that responsibility. But then again, she knew that the baby that was growing would be a major responsibilty. She just hoped she would be ready for it.
"I'm ok I guess," Keeta said non-committally, before taking a bite of her sandwich to make it more difficult to answer any follow-up questions. While most people seemed to be accepting of her situation, she still didn't like to admit that this was a situation she had not chosen to get into. It would be even harder to explain her lack of enthusiasm to a fellow mother-to-be. She now had a better idea of how Sadoko felt, whether she realized it or not.
Ceres proudly placed her fingertips on her chest and tilted her head upwards. It was her childish streak showing through. These hormones had given her many streaks. "Sky and myself are four hundred and fifty years old." She chuckled.
"I manage because it is what I was born to do, and what I have to do." Ceres placed that same hand on Keeta's hand. "You'll manage just fine. After all children are born to save us from ourselves even at times we don't really know we need saving." She smiled.

After all children are born to save us from ourselves even at times we don't really know we need saving." She smiled. Keeta about sputtered into her water when Ceres revealed her age. Sure, as a half-elf Keeta knew she looked young for her age, maybe 5-10 years, but Ceres and Sky still looked as if they were in their early 20's but were approximately 15 times her age. It was hard to believe, but stranger things had happened in this world of theirs. All Keeta could do was shake her head in amazement.
"What made you decide to have a baby now?" Keeta asked. Then she began to think about Ceres' other comment. After all children are born to save us from ourselves even at times we don't really know we need saving. Maybe that was true for her, after having watched her "friends" the other night, she knew that was a lifestyle that would have just kept leading her further and further down a dark path. Really it was the baby that had caused her take a step back and reevaluate.
Ceres momentarily looked at Sky when she felt his hand over hers. "I, as every generation before me, am not meant to live this age. We are meant to grow into maturity and have a baby. Once the baby is grown into maturity the mother dies. It is the way of the island maidens."
Ceres took a deep breath, knowing how grim this tail was. "All the maidens seduce their men. They are untraceable back to the island... So there isn't any complications with how things are done." She gave a small laugh.
"But you see my mother was different. She allowed herself to fall in love." Ceres sighed softly. "She taught me how kind men could be, and not the scary tails of past generations... Such as rape."
Ceres closed her eye as a tear rolled down her cheek. Her fingers caressed the fruit in her hand. "My mother is imprison on the island, and that is another story. And, because of that she could not stand the thought of my death. Thus she taught me that I shouldn't allow myself to fall in love, or to seduce a man. That I should never allow myself to get pregnant."
Ceres leaned against Sky. "Through trickery she gave me Sky a cute little Pegasus at the time to occupy me. But when he wasn't enough she gave me Perian, a centaur... But, I wanted more. I was empty. Thus I adopted children." She opened her eyes, and smiled. "My mother recently told me that she was selfish, and that it was time to accomplish what I was born to do... I do not know if I will live or die when she is of age, but regardless I am at peace."
Keeta listened silently to Ceres' story. It was quite a remarkable one, but she couldn't help but internally reflect on how strikingly different it was from her own. There was selflessness and modesty involved in Ceres' story, whereas Keeta's was really all about selfishness. And even knowing she could die because of this child, the blond-haired woman was content, yet Keeta was filled with turmoil regarding this pregnancy when there was no such threat to her well being, that she knew of.
"I wish I could say I had the kind of strength to make a choice like that. I'm happy for you though, that you weren't forced to take actions similar to that of your ancestors."
"Children give us an endless supply of strength... And, they'll test it out to." Ceres' chuckled. "Have faith in your ability to be a mother, and everything will fall into place."
"I'm a virgin..." Pink snaked itself onto Ceres' cheeks. "I was to scared to try and make a baby the natural way." She giggled a little. "But, for some strange reason we find ourselves getting a little to close for my comfort." She lowered her voice, and whispered. "He even wants to sleep in the same bed with me... But, not for sex."
Sky looked away with intimidate embarrassment.
A 450 year old virgin? Keeta couldn't help but thinking. And I thought it was impressive for me to keep it until my later 20's. Yeesh.
"Well....you'll never know where life'll take you. I've learned that much. At least you guys can share the child, even if you're not ready for other things." Keeta wanted to open up after Ceres had been candid with her. She wanted to tell her how she envied her the relationship she had with Sky, and the fact that he would be here for her and the child. She lapsed into silence though and the opportunity passed her by.
"Sky is fascinated with this baby. It isn't his first, but he says it will be his last..." Ceres twirled her finger in some stray strands of hair. "He is amazed when I show him the different stages the baby is going through as it grows inside me. When it comes to mares... He's never gotten that insight before." She smile peacefully.
"Keeta... I hope you aren't silent on my behalf. Then again maybe it would be better because then it means that your troubles are great." Ceres again touched the ladies arm. "If you want to talk I'll not judge you. Better to let it out, than keep it in. Whatever it is will eventually eat you alive."
Keeta smiled a little at the thought of Sky being in wonderment, in regards to the development of the baby. She was much the same way. The diagrams of the development and the like were all new to her.
"I never had that insight either Sky." She said, looking at him, trying to be friendly. "In Evin people never even dreamed of being able to see the baby before it was born." She grew sober again at Ceres' comment, and decided to say what she had been thinking a moment before.
"I envy you guys. Your commitment to each other and the child, despite the fact that you aren't necessarily 'together.' You don't expect anything from one another. You guys just are as you are."
"There is nothing to envy Keeta when it comes to Sky and myself. We've been like this since we first bumped noises." Ceres grinned as she pulled out a joke from the back of her mind. She had hoped to make Keeta feel better. "I was knee high to a grass hoper back then."
"If there is anything to be envious of, then let me be envious of Sky's selfless act of love and loyalty towards me." Ceres squeezed Sky's hand. "He allowed himself to be given the ability to shift from Pegasus to Human. And, he's learning to be content." She was in a way showing her praise, and appreciation to Sky.
"See ... Keeta if you think about it there is something we can all be envious of, but only if it lets us consume ourselves does it become harmful. It is human to want what we do not have." Ceres' smiled. "You carry a child. That child depends on you. Now you haven't said how it came about, but your actions do speak volumes. You are scared and nervous, but you should be proud of yourself you are bringing life into this world. That is something that most, even the most selfless person, wouldn't do willingly just accidentally."
"I'm just not proud of how it came about is all. I was being selfish and irresponsible. I don't know if I'm ready to raise a child, let alone by myself." Keeta shrugged. To her, there wasn't much else to say on the matter, unless she was going to go into an uncomfortable level of detail.
Ceres took her bag from Sky with a disappointed sigh. She began to sift through the contents without even looking. She'd know what it was she was looking for when she found it.
Ceres knew that Keeta was a strong woman. It was just finding a way to make her believe in herself. There it was... She pulled it from her bag. She held up her mirror.
"Keeta... What do you see?" Ceres' smiled. "Because I can tell you what Sky, and myself see is a strong, confident, glowing young woman. I don't see your imperfections, and neither does this child. This child sees its mother for being its hero. You are after all the reason the child will come into this world." She paused for a moment. "See..." She held the mirror steady.
Keeta took the mirror gently from Ceres' hands and considered her reflection for a moment. Was it true what Ceres said? That she was a "strong, confident, glowing young woman"? That she was a "hero" to her unborn child? Keeta didn't really see it, not yet. The face she saw was scared and tired. But knowing that someone else saw something different in her gave her some hope, even if they were just saying it. She hoped they weren't just saying it though. She needed that hope.
The girl gave the mirror back to Ceres, a small smile on her face. She hoped the other woman took it as Keeta taking those words to heart. She wasn't there yet, but she would remember it at least. Maybe remembering them later would help her when she was feeling particularly down.
"Thank you Ceres."
"My Pleasure." Ceres smiled. "All new mothers can use a bit of confidence..." She gave a short lived, good natured laugh. "Or, so that is what the creatures and things of the island tell me."
Ceres' put the mirror away. "There isn't a day that goes by that my children, Sky, or some part of the island isn't complimenting me, giving me confidence." She took a bite of the fruit. She was only eating to eat. "You just need a good support team. Sky and myself are a good start, and I'm sure you've got a few true friends and family. And we'll be here through the finish, and onto raising children. If you ever need anything even to hear how beautiful you are we are here."
"Well I appreciate that. And I'm here as well, if you need something. I...can't promise I can provide it, but I'll do my best." Keeta offered a small laugh as well, doing her best to keep smiling.
Ceres couldn't know how close to home she had hit with the friends and family comment. Keeta's friends at the Casbah were about all she had now, and only a couple of them knew. It wouldn't be very long before the rest of them figured it out though. She'd give it three weeks, tops. As for the rest of her "friends" after last week, she had pretty much written them off. They didn't care enough to support her in her predicament, and continued to encourage an unhealthy lifestyle for her, despite it.
Keeta glanced down at her watch. It was time to start heading over to work, if she didn't want to risk being late. She started to wrap up her sandwich. Maybe she could finish the rest on her break. She looked back at Ceres and Sky.
"Well, I'm afraid I need to be heading out. I don't want to be late for my shift. Maybe we can do this again sometime. I know it was impromptu, but I think it was good." Keeta got out a pen and scribbled something on a napkin. "Here's my address. I don't like using the phone or the computer much, so coming over is the best way to reach me."
"Mind if I just spare myself the extra steps and just pop on in through your bathroom mirror." Ceres chuckled as she took the paper with the address, and tucked it into her bag. "I used this places bathroom today... I wonder what someone will say when they catch me someday..."
"Oh speaking of which. If you ever need me... just tap the nearest mirror." Ceres said as Sky shouldered the bag. "It is how I travel. Mirrors... As long as mine never shatters." She could tell that Keeta was more at peace than when they'd first sat down. She was glad.
"And, I was about to say that I needed to get back. I cannot leave the island but for a couple of hours at a time. Even then it takes a bit to regain my strength. More so since I am pregnant." As Ceres stood up she extended her hand. "It has been a pleasure Keeta!"
"Umm...I guess not. So long as you can somehow determine whether the room is being used or not, " Keeta replied in response to the question about her bathroom mirror. Traveling by mirrors, huh? That was a new one for her. If she could do that, then she could go visit Evin whenever she felt like. But it sounded as though Ceres' ability to travel that way came at a price. She was bound to the island she lived on. Nothing good came for free.
Keeta shook the offered hand, and turned to offer hers to Sky afterwards. "I won't keep you guys then. Rest up and I hope to see you guys again soon!"
Sky shook Keeta's hand as he smile warmly. It was a smile that said he'd like to meet again. With that he took Ceres' hand. and lead the way.

The Long Lost Returns! (AIM PRP)
Parties involved in order of first appearance: Kawaii_Hime_Ceres, and Fauste.
----
Ceres cradled a pillow in her arms as she sank into a sofa. If one more person showed up on her door step to check on her she'd scream. Throughly exhausted all she wanted was a bit of rest. Sky sat in the chair nearest the sofa. Like usual he was watching over her.
Well it was funny Ceres should feel that way. A shadow played across her door as a familiar figure graced her doorstep. A soft jingle of belts and chimes played against the air as the woman lifted up and knocked on the door gently. Fauste had been away far too long, and she seemed almost remorseful about that fact as she awaited the answer at the door. Cerulean eyes glanced about the abode before her as she patiently stood still.
Ceres sighed as she used her hands to sit up. "I'm coming" She called out as she waddled slowly towards the door feeling as though she'd never get there. Who was left. Surely no one she thought. Every kid she had raised had already come to visit.
Fauste still waited flicking a bit of hair from her gaze. The woman was practically unchanged by time. She heard a familiar voice and smiled lightly in spite of herself. This was getting more and more exciting as time progressed. Oh how she had missed this place and her friends that lived here.
Finally a rounded belly Ceres opened the door. She blinked rapidly, and squinted. It was certainly bright outside. She finally got a good look at who was at her door. "Fauste!?" She could hardly believe her eyes.
Fauste spread her arms to either side of herself, “Yep!” the woman exclaimed rather exuberantly. There was a small pause as she went over her friend’s frame and then her jaw popped open. “No way...” she breathed out in surprise as she saw Ceres’ belly. “You’re...”
"Pregnant... And, virgin." Ceres chuckled as she rubbed her belly. Five and a half months, or some where around that area." After exchanging excited hugs she motioned for her friend to come in.
Sky stood immediately. He recognized this woman. Finally after several moments he smiled.
The hugs were exchanged with excited chatter rising out of Fauste. It was usually phrases such as, ‘Oh my goodness!’ or ‘Congratulations!’ the usual things that anyone says when their good friend is pregnant. Fauste stared at Sky for a moment as she did so her eyes squinted a bit as if trying to place this man in her memory somewhere, “Who’s this?” she queried softly, as she had never seen Sky like this before.
"Sky." Ceres giggled as she put a hand on her back to support her growing weight. "The father of my baby... He was wonderful enough to allow himself to be given the power to shift. We hope though that magic and fool science and that baby will look human with minimal equine features."
Sky motioned for Fauste to sit down. He still wasn't good with speaking human, but he could understand everything everyone was saying.
“Well, I’ll be...” Fauste replied with a small grin. “He makes for a very handsome man. She said it bluntly and with sincerity. She moved to sit down after being invited to do so. “Gosh, I’ve been away forever it seems. It also seems as if I had come back just in time...”
"Yes... You have." Ceres said as she slowly sat down. "A minute later and I'd have been asleep. Not to mention a b***h because I'd have been woken up. I tell you sleep is hard to obtain. If it isn't the kids checking up on me, it is the baby moving. But, the movement isn't prominent enough for anyone else to feel it..."
Sky headed towards the kitchen to gather up some quick snacks.
“Oh dear, glad I caught you, then.” Fauste laughed softly. “I am sorry I went a way with such little warning,” she said softly her head tilting a little downwards. The woman felt terribly guilty about the way she left. She wasn’t sure how she could make it up to Ceres. “I am glad to see that you are doing well, the pregnancy is treating you alright, isn’t it?” Fauste asked with a tone of anxiety to her voice.
"Since I found out that the in vitro fertilization process worked I haven't been to the doctors. Everything feels alright." Ceres smiled as she scooted over to make room for Sky when he returned. "And you?"
Fauste considered the question before nodding a little, “I am well enough. I am still alive in either case.” She gave a small chuckle as she folded her hands on her lap. “I missed everyone terribly.”
"We've missed you." Ceres said and hugged Fauste again. She took the tray from Sky, and offered it to Fauste. "You will be sticking around won't you?"
Fauste smiled lightly accepting the tray and picking out this morsel or that to nibble upon before moving to set it off to the side for now after seeing if either them wanted anything. “I plan on it...I hope to.” Fauste honestly did. However, good intentions do not mean squat until there is follow through.
Ceres chuckled as she bite into a slice of apple. "As much as I hate admitting it I am slowing down." Her voice told that she was at peace despite her admittance. "I'm afraid this child is making me nothing but mortal..."
Fauste tilted her head a bit and nibbled on her own snack. Keeping her comment held within. She wasn’t sure if this was meant as a good thing or not and so she kept her peace for the moment. Some time passes in silence before Fauste smiles and says, “Being mortal isn’t all bad, I suppose. I am of elven heritage but I am still mortal, in my own way.”
"I just have this feeling that when this child is of age that I will die. She will be my final, and greatest accomplishment." Ceres sighted softly, and smiled towards Fauste. "But enough of this... You are back, and it is time to celebrate."
For a brief moment Fauste’s smile faltered at the idea of her dear friend dying. It brought a gentle ache to her heart. Soon the smile returned in full force, “Well, I’ll keep an eye on the child even if you were to die, my friend. I promise.” Fauste nodded, “Yes, let us celebrate.” She was always glad to have a lightened mood. She didn’t want to think of death.
"I don't have anything fizzy per say." Ceres' chuckled. "But, I've got some good flavored water, and pop." Before she could even get up Sky was already on his way to the kitchen. "No parting to hard wtih baby on board... Unfortunately" She grinned. "Though, I've never drank a drop in my life."
Fauste gave a light chuckle in response, “No, no drinking for you.” She smiled faintly, “I have had more than my share of alcohol, but I don’t believe I’ll start that part of my life up again.” Alcohol had a funny effect on Fauste. But that doesn’t mean she wanted her good friend to see her this way.
"It is time to get back to living the good life." Ceres said as she handed Fauste a glass of water, and grabbed one for her. She wouldn't question her good friends choices. They all had some choices they weren't proud of. With her free hand she continued to hold her fruit.
Fauste put the last bit of her fruit that she had been nibbling on in her mouth before she accepted her own glass. “It is indeed,” Fauste said agreeing to Ceres’ statement. Then the half-elf held up her glass in form of a toast, “To the health of Mother and Child.” Sincerity was strong in Fauste’s voice as she said this. It felt really good to be back. Really, really good.
"To you a friend long lost who has returned." Ceres smiled and allowed the glasses to tink together. She took a sip of her glass, and kept her focus on Fauste. She hadn't realized how much she had missed the company of other women. It was good that Fauste had returned!
The woman beamed a smile at her old friend as glasses tinked together and the toast was completed. Fauste lifted her own glass to her lips and took a drink sighing afterwards as if it had been a very long while since she had anything to drink “I have so much cleaning to get done.” Fauste said with a small chuckle. To be quite honest she was surprised Ceres hadn’t asked her where she had gone for all this time. She swirled the remainder of her water within the glass.
Ceres turned her attention to Sky. "Would you mind if we had a little woman to woman time." She smiled so innocently it almost looked fake. When Sky gave an approving nodd she grabbed her friends hand and lead her to her bedroom.
"Would you close the door please." Ceres sat the glass on the nightstand, and sat herself down on the bed. It wasn't often that she closed the door, but at this moment she wanted some privacy.
Fauste gave a small surprised squeak as she is suddenly pulled up and then into the bedroom spilling but a small drop of water upon herself. She took a moment to gain her walking balance as she entered the bedroom with Ceres. When asked to close the door she gave it a small shove with her free hand and then set her glass next to Ceres’ on the nightstand. “Is there something wrong?” Fauste asked with a small tilt of her head, still looking a little surprised. It seemed somewhat random to her, but she accepted it.
Ceres let out a soft sigh. "He never stops being there for me... It just scares me." She took a clump of her clothing as she chewed on her bottom lip. "I don't know anything at all about dating... is it normal." She felt silly and childish. She didn't know anything about matters like this. "He would even sleep in my bed if I would let him... But, that seems wrong." You could tell she was confused, and worried.
Fauste blinked at this and at first is unable to come up with an answer as she took what Ceres told her and began to analyze it a little. She crossed her arms over her chest looking downward a moment almost looking as if she is meditating now. Suddenly she looks up, “It is good that he cares deeply for your well being and the well being of your child. Some men would just abandon the woman.” She says thoughtfully. “It also depends on how you feel about him as well. I know you two have been together for a long, long time.” Fauste smiled a little. “I am sure he will accept whatever you will allow him.”
"It's just that I don't know what I want." Ceres couldn't help the few tears the rolled down her cheeks. "Damn hormones." She wiped away the tears. "All my life I've lived my mothers selfish wish... Not to fall in love, not to have children. And, now all of a sudden its go do as you please." She leaned against Fauste. "I'm so scared because I'm not in control anymore. I'm not strong... And, some days I feel as if I've got no one at all."
Again the elf blinked. Never before had she quite seen her friend like this. Softly, as Ceres leaned against her, Fauste wrapped an arm around her friend hugging her gently with one arm. “It’s okay. Really, it is. I am here now and I’ll do whatever it takes to help you. You feel you need more strength take some of mine. But honestly, a woman about to become a mother is the strongest woman of all.” Fauste smiled a bit. “It takes a very strong woman to say that she is willing to use a part of her lifeforce to create something new and accept the consequences that come.” She leaned her head against Ceres’ head. “You are just frightened because it seems as if your guiding light had suddenly been taken from you. Now you can live by your own guide and do as you please with your life, it seems. Fall in love, take chances.” The elf murmured softly, “No matter what I’ll be here to help you if you need some pieces picked up."
Ceres sighed softly. It was often that people came to her and that she was able to offer wise words, or wisdom; something that came with age. It was rare that anyone could offer her something in return. Although, she always listed.
Ceres wrapped her arms tightly around her friend. It was so comforting for her to be home. In the time she had known the woman they had become close, as thick as blood. Everything she siad was making since. What if everything she felt was just one big fear. Fear often held people back from being strong.
"What if I let myself fall in love, and then when the baby is born what was there isn't there anymore." Ceres couldn't resist... The question weighed heavy on her often. "He's given so much for me. He is even willing to stay in human form... Regardless. I just feel so selfish, and responsible for this 'mess'."
Fauste crinkled her nose as her friend spoke. “I don’t really consider a birth of a child as a ‘mess’.” She said softly and closed her eyes a little. “As far as the fear of the love from him going away...I don’t think you’re that frivolous with your emotions.” She said soothingly. “You had to lock yourself away for the longest time I don’t think it is in you to offer anyone your heart unless you truly feel they are worthy of it.” Her fingertips idly played with the end of Ceres’ hair as she fell silent for a moment, “But if the love does happen to go away for some reason...I am sure he will accept that. No one can force others to love them. He will likely be hurt for a while, but his heart will mend as will yours.” “Still, it takes something catastrophic to make love just fade.” Fauste added after a small sigh, “There is nothing selfish about loving another and wanting to be loved in return.”
"Sometimes I wonder if it is form that held us back all along. I wonder if love has always been there..." Ceres said softly as she took a deep breath. She was trying to calm herself so that she could think more clearly.
"Does he deserve my heart though." Ceres tapped her fingers on her friends knee. Though her site was through others she looked spaced out. "I think he does... I mean look what he has done for me.
She laughed softly, “It might have been form. But now it’s you holding it back. Love can hurt but it can also be a wonderful adventure.” Fauste said in a soothing voice. “And just because he does everything for you doesn’t mean he deserves your heart. It is good criteria, but still...” “As cliché as the concept may be, you also need to feel as if he is your other half. That he completes you. Is he your soulmate? Do you feel that way with him?” Fauste asked.
"I've never known love other than for my children... I know with him I am at peace. That there is something about him that I don't mind him watching over me. I know that with him I can over come any obstacle."
"In life there is nothing to cliché..." Ceres smiled softly as she took Faustes hand. "And I know it takes one amazing man to do what he has done for. I know I am lucky." She put that hand on her belly. "I'm pretty sure you can feel it... Just don't tell Sky or he'll be trying to feel me every second he has the chance."
Fauste smiled lightly, “Then you need not worry about love fading away. It is rare that you can feel so at ease with someone like that.” The woman allowed her friend to take her hand and lead it to the bulging belly. Being one attuned to life in general, it didn’t take long before she felt the life within Ceres. “Ahh, I am so happy for you, Ceres. All the things you must be feeling. I envy you in a way.” “You know, we are like sisters, in a way.” Fauste said softly, “Deeper than blood somehow.”
"We can all envy someone. It is natural so long as it doesn't get the best of us." Ceres chuckled. "You will be here to help me through this won't you?" She said on a more serious tone. "I mean you aren't going to just leave me again are you."
"Yes, sisters..." Ceres squeezed Fauste's hand. "I'll try to not put to much thought into love. I'll try to just let it happen. But, what do I do if he wants to... you know..." She was so red she looked like a tomato. She couldn't even looked at the other.
“Indeed,” Fauste agrees. For a moment Fauste looks taken aback as the conversation changes to a new route for a moment. She took a deep breath and then smiled, “I have no intention of leaving anymore, at least not without prior warning. Only death could take me away at the moment, and I have no intention of dying.” “It is easier if you just let love happen. It is when things happen most naturally. It will be hard, but I am sure you are most aware of it.” Fauste watched her friend blush and let out a giggle before she could stop herself. “Well, if he loves you he’ll wait until you’re ready for that... particular step in the relationship.” She squeezed Ceres’ hand in return, “No one can force you to do anything until you’re ready.”
"I just feel bad some days... I know how close he wants to get to me. And, I often feel as though I am unintentionally pushing him. I really do want to get closer to him." Ceres sighed out of frustration. "It is just so hard after 450 years of doing things a certain way..."
Fauste gave a small nod, “I am sure you do. But you need to do things at your own pace since everything is so new to you.” The woman said as an explanation. “Only you know when you are ready. Such an act is a show of trust and it is also a level of giving yourself to someone else.” She smiled lightly.
"I wish babies were like that..." Ceres laughed. "I mean I'm ready an all, but I have my jitters every so often." She twirled her finger in a stray strand of hair. "It really is good having you home. I feel better already."
Fauste grinned a bit, “Good, I’m glad you’re starting to feel better.” She moved her head and planted a sisterly kiss upon her friend’s cheek. “I’ll even help out with the baby when it is here. So don’t fret overly much.” The woman gave a small laugh, “Babies always do things when you aren’t ready for them. This should be an interesting challenge for you, in all.”
"I've raised seven children can this one be any different?" Ceres chuckled as she returned the sisterly kiss. "And, it is comforting to know that there are other out there beside my children who are supporting me in this 'adventure'."
She shrugged, “They often say things are different when they are of your own blood, but it may also just be pure fantasy created in the minds of others.” Fauste grinned looking amused. “Either way, yes I am here for you as is everyone else.” The woman said this with such certainty.
"Fantastic!" Ceres grinned. "Before Sky gets the frets from us being holed up in here maybe we should rejoin him." She chuckled. "He's probably been listening to the entire conversation."
Ceres stood up with only slight difficulty. "I'll fix us dinner, and then you can say here. Once you are rested we can head over to your place, and I'll help you tidy up."
Fauste stood along with her friend stretching a bit once they are both safely standing. “Sounds like a plan. It’s been ages since I had a good meal.” She admitted moving to follow Ceres out to the next room. “Wouldn’t want Sky to worry.” She said with an almost teasing tone to her voice.
